There are probably very few people actually doing that, with the bulk of the service focused on either volume crimes or violence offences. The problem is perception, and doing a 'fun' parade while victims and family members are waiting around for someone to arrest criminals was always going to go down well.
The police just don't have an opportunity to engage in these stunts without infuriating people. There's always somebody waiting for them to catch a rapist/murderer/car thief, etc, who will be boiling at the display.
This type of thing was dreamed up by some chick in PR and a whole bunch of normal cops have been rounded up to prance about to her choreography, embarrassing themselves and becoming objects of scorn and ridicule in doing so.
