Here's an idea nobody has seemed to mention before. Multiple shooters All meet at Paddocks room to pick up weapon and amo. Leave hotel to various locations to start a simultaneous shit storm. All wearing radios or earpieces to communicate. Campos, an inside guy with a change of heart, or someone else shoots Paddock before the real "worse" melee that was planned could go down. Much less casualties than planned. Utter mayhem in 5 or more casinos was planned at the same time so everyone would be running around in a daze. Didn't happen that way. I don't think the tanks would have blown even with the tannerite parked near the tanks. I also read that specific tank was only half full or some shit (gotta find article), so the bullets that hit it, in theory, had they of gone through would have been in pure fumes. Explosive rounds would have ignited the fumes, there would have been no need for tannerite. I think the tannerite was for something else. Distraction maybe? Blow up tanks, then blow up car with tannerite, law enforcement would have been stretched incredibly thin, especially if he decided to shoot up the concert anyway.

Just like in your car jet engines have to atomize the fuel first, but jet fuel is no where near combustible like gasoline. To answer your question, vaporizing fuel supply systems in jet engines spray the jet fuel into the ignition system to ignite the fuel.
But like I said. Even if you take a blow torch to liquid form jet-a like what is in the tanks it will never ignite.
