Not really, the idea is that he should still sound like a child, so his VA as a child was kept.
Not to mention Nips aren't big on changing VAs, for example, you can see Naruto's VA wasn't changed either after the timeskip or even during the movie.

The problem with Goku now, though, is that he sound like an old lady rather than a child.
