If this becomes a thing they must either endorse it, or they will soon start to impose a more repressive way of thinking about openness and sex on their own accord (haha!) or they will be start to lean to the libertarian side 'whatever, so long as it doesn't bother me', the latter will be divisionary and sow discord, shatter unity and break up the front, the former will cause internal conflict and a constant creation and adaption of standards that will serve to divide and conflict. (creating separate ideological branches of belief much like how Christianity splintered.)
