>be me >idealistic and nostalgic that praise Wagner, the XIX century, Platon and so on >read the Don Quixote of Cervantes >realize that we are just quixotes destined to fail >we are a parody, just like the Quixote >Our romanticism is a cry against the reality, just like the Quixote
>That feel when a 400 old book perfectly describe us, our motivations and our destiny >That feel when a 400 old book mock on us just like it did with Don Quixote
I can't beat this book. My mind just can't do it at this point. Can you help me to rationalize this Sup Forums?

If that is the case is white genocide the windmill that we are making into our giant?
Liam Lee
There is nothing wrong with praising great Occidental works of the past centuries. You're current existential issues are likely a product of a lack of new developments. Many would attribute to "social engineering"/"liberal degeneracy", but I think the more accurate cause was a strong shift in focus from deductive to inductive thinking. Nietzsche warned that the absence of "idols" would result in a society bereft of a cultural foundation, and that this instability would be fatal.

Don Quixote isin't supposed to blackpill you, it's supposed to be the ultimate white pill.
It tells you to carry on with your beliefs and that even if you fail, it was still all worth it.
Thomas Walker
Did you read Don Quixote?
Isaiah Cruz
yep. The struggle is the point

Well instead of windmills we are fighting Draco lizard demons spawned from Hillary. Much better than windmills.

Our giants are very real though.
Christopher Bennett
It is a whitepill if you accept God, in Cervantes' days there was no rampant Sodomy, they had just got done fighting the greatest Muslim enemy at that time and he took part in that war. There is nothing wrong to look towards our forebears if the society and vision they offer us is better than our own. Never give up just because the powers are overwhelming.
Logan Campbell
who is "us" my people got trump elected and helped the public start pulling their head out of their ass. i really dont give a fuck about a memeflag
John Campbell
Buy are just giant windmills mate. Our goals are our windmills. We are just nostalgics and society see us as lunatics. We are literally at the same emotional level as Don Quixote.
Most people here have never read the book.
Noah Brown
The book is a very tragic and sad one. I don't know why people think that is some kind of comedy.
Cervantes would rigth wing if he was alive.
Charles Cruz
No. It's the message of Cervantes, indio espalda mojada.
Isaac Scott
>tfw you keep reading philosophers that Sup Forums doesn't talk about Reeeee
Lord Byron's effort to liberate Greece was described as Quixotic in the 19th century. He was laughed at by the parliament in fact. No one gives a fuck about them, they are resigned to the dustbin of history. Byron is immortal. Food for thought. He had no impact on history at all, but what of Byron? There are barely any actual philosophy majors on the left, that's why they run away when discussion gets serious and have to resort to literary references (like OP)
Carter Walker
>We are just nostalgics and society see us as lunatics.
Excellent. The enemy is ahead, is behind, is to the left and to the right. We have them just where we want them.
Landon Price
Lord Byron always leaves them BTFO. I love it.

Is there any Quixote left in Poland mate? I learn all from your country watching BustyPolish.com
Leo Ortiz
NO, dummy. We see the world's good as it really is. Don Quixote in the end did end up doing good things. Taking Sancho on an adventure and bringing joy to everyone. He saw the good in the world, and who is to say that what he saw was not real because he was half off his rocker? Cervantes was a veteran soldier, what sort of outlook do you think he would have had on the world in relation to the ideal vs "reality"? Also he lived well, Lord Greave lived well. We should follow in his footsteps.
Christopher Miller
>nostalgic that praise Wagner, the XIX century, Platon and so on This would be similar to Quixote if these things hadn't actually happened. Tales of chivalry are decried for their ridiculous element, not for describing glorious actions, even less because they are old. When the priest goes on burning Quixote's library, he spares and even praises the books of actual history.
Owen Russell
Mr Ellul need to be use as a new meme to revitalize Sup Forums
Aiden Phillips
I read every day and have done so since I was in college. You seem butthurt. It depends on what level you're at in terms of understanding the history of philosophy. If you're a complete beginner, I would recommend textbooks with commentary on excerpts rather than starting on primary sources. Start with the Greeks, then the scholastics, then the Enlightenment.
Austin Mitchell
>Is there any Quixote left in Poland mate? what do u mean
Dylan Long
>If you're a complete beginner, I would recommend textbooks with commentary on excerpts rather than starting on primary sources. t. guy writing secondary literature. There is no reason not to rush through Plato head on. Secondary literature can be good, but it should be read after primary texts.
Matthew Torres
Cervantes was from a declining aristocratic-warrior segment. That was the common thing in the times that he had to live, reason why they missed that glorious past. In the same way that we do with Europe and our civilization.
Brayden Smith
Hey mate. How common are a gals like Bea Flora in Poland? I'm talking about her face.
Nathaniel Morris
>That was the common thing in the times that he had to live, reason why they missed that glorious past. In the same way that we do with Europe and our civilization. Yet Byron completely contradicted and disproved him, which you ignore. Had Byron not proven him wrong, Greece would not exist.
Julian Garcia

>Cervantes was from a declining aristocratic-warrior segment. Nigger, Cervantes was living in the height of aristocratic Spain both culturally and politically. He personally served in btfoing muslims in Lepanto. Got away from Barbary slavery. The aristocratic officer corps of the Spanish tercio would remain the principal military body until being crushed by the French reworked army at Rocroy in 1643. The "declining aristocratic-warrior segment" had just oversaw the conquest of half of the Americas in a span of 80 years. Chivalry tales were already in decline by the time of Don Quixote after an Indian summer with the 16th century epics.
Jason Wright
Really? I was talking about the facial features. I don't care about the titties. Bea is a truly beauty, unlike Ines Cudna, Ewa Sonnet, etc

No, I'm from Spain mate and I know this historical context. He was precisely in a declining spaniard-world. There was an excess of people of his class that were useless in that period. They his services were no longer in demand
Sebastian Martin
>I read every day and have done so since I was in college. You seem butthurt. Nah, I just meant to imply that all the philosophy majors I've met have been bugmen and fairly liberal, either that or they are conserned with science shit. Nothing wrong with that, just have to accept metaphysics is more important.
Yeah, he's a great thinker, Sup Forums must avoid the trap falls of intellectual laziness. That's how the neocons ended up dying.

Don't watch porn user, it degrades your memories.
This is interesting do you know more?

Hey, hey, hey. We, the european people... Bea Flora looks like Frida from Abba. She was a child of the Lebensborn program.
Maybe those facial features are found there. Help me Poland.

I only admire the women beauty (she doesn't do hardcore cuck porn). It's an act of contemplation like watching art or hearing music.
