You mean good shows with excellent first episodes?
Tokyo Ghoul.
>HellCat never kissed
Fuck this show.
The most offensive thing I've ever watched, but damn did the first episode sent a overboding tension of horror. Then it was just downhill.
>Mayoiga
>good
It was absolute trash.
Dimension W
...
that's a good choice. First episode made me excited for the second coming of Darker than Black
Mekakucity Actors.
It got my hopes up.
Now I know Shaft is just a meme studio.
Aldnoah Zero
...
More 'average' than 'bad' but Kotoura-san. The first episode was leagues ahead of the rest.
Also I thought Campione! too.
It was so edgy and grimdark it turned made me cut myself. Then it turned into fujoshit.
>mekakucity actors
>a true SHAFT anime
Get out.
>Mekakucity Actors
Huh?
>good first episode
>50% of the episode is the numerous characters intruding themselves in front of everyone else.
They held hands though
...
Was going to come here to post this, glad I'm not the only one.
>Osomatsu
>bad show
How can you top this intro?
Yes, the mystery part was meh but the atmosphere and the case itself (school girls prostituting themselves) were pretty promising.
>good first episodes
>implying trash like Monogatari can even be considered true SHAFT anime
Get out.
So you're telling me you've never seen it?
I'm a fujo and this show went way too gay. Nothing is worse than whiny melodrama gay, and this was that. The characters were also all boring one-quirk personalities. And something was off with the pacing, I can't say how but it all felt incomplete somehow.
that was beyond retarded
Ghost Hound (Strong first few eps then devolves into some stupid fake science magical alien shit)
Kurokami (like holy shit, it falls off so hard after the beginning its fucking insane)
Kokoro Connect. Dat first arc. But then it devolves into meaningless crappy teen melodrama
I havent really watched any shows that fall offf IMMEDIETALLY after the first ep, all these have strong beginnings in general
...
That's kinda the opposite. First episode was just okay - not too impressive. Show got a lot better after they reached the temple.
>first episode good
Not really. The setup and setting had potencial, but then they get stuck there for the longest time, the mistery gets solved in a stupid way and the viewer didn't even have the necessary information to figure it out for themselves, and after all of that it ends almost as it started.
>insert very good anime
Yeah this 1 is terrible.
...
Haremshit show
This trash
...
>Then it turned into fujoshit.
First season was decent, I guess. Second season suddenly turned into fucking Bleach with powerlevel bullshit.
Though the first few episodes were still pretty decent. Started going downhill and once they got to the moon it got bad pretty fast.
First 2 episodes had me hooked, then it all spiraled down, except for this guy, he was pretty cool. and his crossdressing daughter /son?
Suprised nobody posted this yet.
As in first few minutes of the first episode
Here's an obvious one.
ye. found it fucking weird when the OP started playing, like "this was not what I signed up for"
I was surprised it was such a big shit sandwich.
First episode wasn't good though. It was mediocre at best. And the signs of melodrama were there with the flashbacks
Kabaneri, but the show was just average, not bad. It was definitely downhill from the first episode
The first episode had a really nice summer atmosphere and a god tier ost.

Then it became more dull and stupid with each episode. Ferris wheel and a epilogue were fine though.
It was like, a different show every two episodes.
Second this. I can rewatch and enjoy that first episode plenty but the rest of the show was the most whatever thing ever. Nice art at least.
To be fair, the light novel is shit.
It has no hope to get better.
attack on titan
agreed. Kabaneri had so much potential
1st episode was pretty chill. Focus on two characters, cameo of all the future idols and a small tease at the end of the episode for the last remaining new generations member.
2nd episode shoves all the girls down our throats. Weak drama and weak humor, it really didn't have an identity. Producer was good though.
100% this
Going blind into cg, I agree.
The interactions between Rin, Uzuki and Producer were great and the characters themselves felt natural.
Then the next episode those interactions were gone, the focus changed into a cameofest and the sixteen or so girls introduced were gimmicky as fuck or just usual anime archetypes. I didn't hate it that much and kept watching, but I still was disappointed that it was a complete different show compared to what the first episode was offering.
barrel best girl
I was expecting running in the 90s at the start. Is that what Exodus was parodying?
seisen no cerberus.
This.
The first episode wasn't anything special but it obviously didn't prepare anyone for what type of piece of shit this was going to be. Easily one of the worst shows in years.
But it was good.
does it actually get better.. all i see is inconsistent art and contrived story.
They got so much mileage out of that orphanage flashback it was honestly absurd.
