It was pretty heavily toned down compared to the LN description though. I don't know how they're going to manage Tamako and Anzu's scene without losing a lot of impact. It was the sheer unflinching brutality of it that made it so shocking.
This hurts enough already, it's going to be even worse the next few chapters.

I think that even the scene of Yuuna vomiting blood will be toned down.

I think I prefer the manga, this one seems a little cluttered.
This franchise is borderline scary with the amount of callbacks, foreshadowing and detail put into it.
