If the work actually gets done then it's not Clinton-esque.

>There's also the issue that money intended for the rebuilding effort may not be directed to the best places or toward the right people. Whitefish Energy Holdings has announced that it has signed a deal with the island, worth $300 million, to restore power to the island. In a statement, the company said that it has sent 300 employees and subcontractors to Puerto Rico to help restore power to the island. In addition, a further 700 people will be sent to the island in the near future to provide additional support.

Oh shit, Blumpf's getting more than two scoops again...

>But an investigation by The Weather Channel has raised questions over why Whitefish was handed the contract. The business is described as a "2-year-old consultancy" that was "hired outside the usual channels for the job." Apparently. Puerto Rico refused mutual aid from the American Public Power Association and made the deal without the involvement of the US Army Corps of Engineers and FEMA.

No wait, it's nothing.

>But an investigation by The Weather Channel
>The Weather Channel
what

How is it nothing? This no-name company got a contract that would not have had they not been Trump supporters.

Difference is, zinke will be out by next week.
As it turns out, Trump actually does have some character.
Fuckin non-believers

So you're telling us that Americans are getting the jobs? Horrible.

So some guy in an organization donates to Trump and that turns it into one big conspiracy?

Newswpeak and Doublespeak require that names as a rule do not mean what they sound like they mean, and modern corporate broadcasting is the very heart of global Orwellian application against the citizenry.

MTV: Doesnt show music.
Weather Channel: Pushes political propaganda under the cover of environmental concern or in, as this case, a loose relation to weather events.
CNN, MSNBC, NBC (anything with News in the title): doesnt report news, they restrict it
Cartoon Network: Cartoon implies children's programming. Modern cartoons are "children's programming" only in the most insidious and cynical definition of the term. This goes for all channels touting "children's programming".
History channel: are you fucking kidding me.
Science channels: lost all semblence of objectivity decades ago. Popsci circus to make population feel intelligent while consistently pushing political agendas.

Turn off your television. It is hands down the worst invention ever put to use against humanity.

You're telling me its a coincidence that the guy who runs this no-name, brand new company donates a ton of money to Trump, and it gets the contract to repair PR?

If this was a Clinton donator Sup Forums would have a fit connecting the dots

It's cause PR went outside and didn't let the feds have influence.
This is basically like if new york had an event at a trump donor's business.
It's new yorks decision
At worst this is PR trying to suck up.
What's more likely? Pr making dumbfuck decisions like they always do

it's all they have left...

300million to fix their country sounds about right and he's donating to someone he trusts because he took virtually fuck all donations. Think of all the favours he'd have to give if he was bank rolled like Hilldawg. You want there to be a scandal but there isnt one, as always.

>that would not have had they not been Trump supporters.
prove it.

Demonstrate how, aside from playing a game of "6 degrees of kevin bacon", there is a link.

>country 9 billion dollars in debt takes whatever assistance it can.

the very definition of nothing burger call me when trump mandates it

PUERTO RICO IS AMERICAN CLAY!

Their country is the United States of America.

PR is a "territory". Its the political entity version of a child. When they are ready to be a state, they will vote themselves a state of the uniton.

Why haven't they done so already? Easy. Territories pay no tax. That's right. Not a penny of tax. If they turn into a state, suddenly, all tax laws apply to them, including income tax.

So PR has been dodging the tax man by taking advantage of the history--- that new areas of the US start off as territories, and when they have sufficient people that want to become a state, they vote themselves into statehood.

US has several territories around the world. But PR is the only one that's been on the edge of statehood for decades.

Giving it to a Republican means it's more likely to be used for the actual work it's expected to be used for, where if it's given to Democrats it'll be skimmed, much of it pocketed, and the rest used for the lowest bid.

So what? The first time since 1993 a non establishment in bed with the Dems and Old Reps gets a contract and you go apeshit. More than ok with it, if they et the job done. If not, they get sued and another company gets the deal

boi!

Every president (Clinton's Hati,Obama's solar scheme, etc) has done this and no one bats an eye.

Didn't we vote Trump in to STOP this sort of thing?

did you missed the text where >Puerto Rico refused mutual aid from the American Public Power Association and made the deal without the involvement of the US Army Corps of Engineers and FEMA

So Trump somehow influenced them to pick his pet.

Who in PR 'picked' this company?

Trump is a businessman. Someone linked to him likely gets shit done.

Clinton is worthless except for being corrupt. Someone linked to her is likely to immediately donate half to the clinton foundation, and just keep the rest.

The problem I have is because it isn't already a big operation they'll take time getting shit done. Puerto Rico is fucked enough as it is.

Can’t pretty much any company that takes major US contracts be linked to a political donor?

Retard

>On Monday, The Washington Post reported that Whitefish Chief Executive Officer Andy Techmanski is friends with Trump administration Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke. Moreover, Whitefish is located in Zinke’s hometown of Whitefish, Monatana.

thedailybeast.com/dollar300m-puerto-rico-recovery-contract-awarded-to-tiny-utility-company-linked-to-major-trump-donor

Oh shit, there's more!

>Zinke isn’t the only member of the Trump administration with a connection to the Whitefish contract. In addition to the Colonnettas’ contributions to Trump’s presidential campaign, Kimberly Colonnetta’s Facebook page contains a photo of her with Ben Carson, Trump’s secretary of housing and urban development. Another photo appears to show Kimberly Colonnetta with Trump Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. Both photos were posted the week of Trump’s inauguration.

>Who in PR 'picked' this company?

Ricardo Ramos, CEO of PREPA (Puerto Rico Electrical Power Authority)

>linked-to-major-trump-donor
The last time they rebuilt, in the 1990s, they were linked to the Clintons.

And the PREPA didn't ask for other utilities to help? The guy from prepa says it was timing and all their communication was down, sooo you didn't have communications to contact the "utilities matchmaking" thing but were able to accept an unguaranteed contract for 300 million that charges $330/hr for a site supervisor?

>people who dont support the president should be rewarded by the president
kys

No, the point is the best person for the job should be picked, not some no-name brand new company charing outrageous amounts that is coming from the federal government (FEMA).

>we
You're not fooling anyone. I hope you realize that.

>Trump delivers contract to small trusted company instead of major multinational corp that will waste 2/3 of the money
Sounds good to me.
