I say "Nanoha" in the loosest sense of the word.
ViviD Strike got its first PV recently.

What do you think about this? Right direction? Wrong direction?

I like it.

Her outfit reminds me of Nanami's from Dog Days.
As long as the MC don't get domesticated too soon like Einhart, this could be fun.

thank god
>B-But that's forbidden magic!
Even doujin backgrounds are a better representation of Mid Childa than Vivid Strike and the Vivid anime.

Definitely the right direction
That's false advertising, 2 of those characters have a total screentime of like half of one episode.
Wet Nanoha.
>you have to buy two boxsets to get both sides
>normal construction sites

midchildia is vaguely sci-fi reeeeeeeeeeeeee
On the other hand, it looks like the pseudo-reboot with less characters the series needed.
Delinquent needs to be older.
Midchilda seems to be some bastard mix of Earth and Space.
They have TSAB technology, but drive in wheeled cars. They have floating monitors which can follow them around, but use televisions. They have a post-scarcity society, but have stores and construction yards.
so do you have to watch the other series to watch this
They're not post-scarcity, why do you think that?
I think the holographic screens are one of the standardized spells every mage knows. I can't recall any non-mage ever using them, except maybe some mooks who are using one attached to a desk.
I'm not complaining about the delinquents having banned guns, because that's only logical. Guns weren't banned that long ago, there will obviously be illegal weapon trady.
>They're not post-scarcity, why do you think that?
They were shown to just create objects and material out of nothing in StrikerS. Even if we assume that StrikerS is the best of TSAB technomagic, that's still a pretty society-changing thing to just have as background fluff.
Sadly I don't remember the episode. I think it's the one with the introduction to the drones.
Anyone has a translation or summary what is said in the preview? I know most of it is going to be vague-ish blurbs, but in case something interesting is there.
It wasn't out of nothing, there was a big grid on the ground in the middle of the lake. There's some sort of mystic (summoning?) thing going on but it's not a replicator.
Still begs the question: Why would you need a construction yard to assemble buildings one piece at a time? Just summon the new building.
>all those men teaming up on that poor girl
She got raped, right?
Because that's a military training facility. Also recall the buildings and such look hazy in Strikers (in Movie 1st they don't but that's just for effect I imagine). They seem impermanent to me.
We also have no idea how it's powered or fueled.
>starting this already
>starting this already
Someone has to.
Why does everything have to be about rape with you? You got some issues, man.
This is Sup Forums we're talking about. If it exists, it must be raped regardless of age or gender.
probably
>We also have no idea how it's powered or fueled.
Instant teleporting goods would seem like enough to change society at a fundamental level.
But I doubt Tsuzuki has considered the implications of this in his incestuous-ninja-harem universe.
See, now that's a good question. I know that long-range teleportation for people is extremely rare, FTL even more so, but it's apparently standard enough on common civilian transports.
I wish we knew about more than 3 planets.
Nanoha is one of the fictions where the technicalities aren't very consistent or thought-through, so it is not very fruitful to go analysing these little things in various series and mangos. The probably just threw it there without much thought, like with the Evil Moon that casts mirror image on self.
Very few from anime and manga actually do this.
Sci-fi in Japan isn't as hard pressed for its long term effects for technology it seems compared to the West. They take it more or less as a setting to be used for various action scenes and character interactions.
Looks like no
>you will never see a new Nanoha series with Nanoha in the actual title ever again
Could be possible but there will be people and events mentioned from the previous Nanoha things.
am i the only one who waiting for Force anime
I am too but NEVER EVER
still holding out for betrayerS
I always adored the Force designs but never once heard or read any praise for the actual storywriting. I had more hope for a sequel to StrikerS inpsired by Betrayers which would focus on Nanoha's ascendancy through the establishment.
The sense I got from the trailer is that it was entirely about the new girl and her sister (?). My gut tells me they'll do a short introduction of the returning characters when they appear.
yes
Betrayers was horribly out of character, except Hayate and Jail
I would fucking worship Tsuzuki if he caught onto the evil moon fuckup and just ran with it.
>IT IS ACTUALLY A REFLECTION OF THE SOUL OF THE MOON
>IT'S A BELKAN SUPERWEAPON YOU SEE, LONG DEACTIVATED, ITS SECRETS LOST TO TIME
Doesn't Mid just have 2 moons? What is this evil moon thing?
I'm starting to think that it's too hard to have a futuristic sci fi anime that is set in a worlds that is a realistic projection of ours. You need to know a lot about technology and science in many subjects to update every little bit of the world in a consistent way to make something that works, but for people writing anime or manga I can see how this may not be hard to do well.
In the case of Nanoha you would expect to see a world much more populated, with cities much more vertical, with a population that is mostly elder, and I really doubt any church would still be taken seriously in such a developed world. Wheeled vehicles are probably to stay though, but if teleportation is available to anyone in stations I don't see why it should be used for much.
I don't have any of the fanart on me right now, but when they were making ViviD promo art, they re-used a background several times that showcased the two moons, and one was just a horizontal-flipped version of the other The entire sky was that way, down to the clouds. Like they have a 'Moon' and a 'Cloud' stamp in photoshop and just sprinkle it around in promo-art.
I vaguely recall that
I think you're forgetting the Church was a pretty big factor in ending the recent war.
>a world much more populated, with cities much more vertical
This is question even in a lot of standard sci-fi of how cities would develop. If you had access to numerous habitable worlds. Why would you try to crowd yourself in the standard city? Sure there would be some large cities in central hubs of business, industry, administration, and trade. But those should be exceptions to the rule rather than norms especially if teleportation is available.
Mid is full of uninhabited ruins, presumably from the war
If we take the 40K explanation, it's because the 'paradise' worlds are reserved for the rich and the people who are extremely important.
I think the future is much more akin to Deus Ex or Blade Runner with tiered cities than it is something where cities cover the entire globe.
>Why would you try to crowd yourself in the standard city?
Because people reproduce like bunnies and the life expectancy is more every passing year.
>Because people reproduce
Most countries as they progress and become more developed slow down on their birth rates
I'm waiting for the manga. Anime would be a bonus, as long as the story was finished and Nanoha would be able to have a future again.
Obligatory please no.
Not sister, she's girl she was with at orphanage so fair game for lezwaifu. She has different surname too, Reventon VS Berlinetta
In Nanoha artworks, there are always 2-4 moons of various sizes that are carbon copy of each other with the cloud patterns, just with different sizes. The have been running with it for years, so if it was just sloppy lazyness at first, they decided to act like nothing and run with it. Which is kinda cool.
Another example, but there are really extremely numerous, close to all of artbook pics with sky, unless its Earth.
>new girl is Einhart's best friend
>new girl cooks for Einhart
Vivio status
forever alone
Wait, this one even has 5. One has to be an alien impostor.
deactivated
superweapon.
that's no moon
Shit, that has to be some overlook. Can't it mean "best friend in her class?". Or alternatively, Yumina is best friend, and Vivio is already promoted into the girlfriend level by the time they are 11/13.
It's Nanoha's Stand. Yeah, she has 5 of them. Needs multiple to check nobody hits on Fate when she is on the other side of the planet.
Einhart is a hegemon. It's only fitting for her to have a harem.
>and Vivio is already promoted into the girlfriend level by the time they are 11/13.
That wouldn't demote her from her best friend status, it's a meme in yuri anime but gay people usually refer to their partners as friends when they started as that, even if they're open abut their relationship.
Strongest hegemon, but dominated by even stronger waifu in bed.
Damn, it hurts knowing that these two are getting sidelined without getting the chance to be a proper NanoFate Mk.II in some serious story.
>More cute girls training and punching the shit out of everything
We need more shows like this. Pic related was the last good one.
>Delinquent magical girls are a go.
HA HA HA I WISH
No, user, this is going to turn into tournament shit again. We already know this
Force getting animated will be the nail in the coffin indicating the franchise is truly fucked
With Nanoha and Fate as her moms, there's no way Vivio would be allowed to do anything half as dangerous as what they did in the past, at least not until she's a couple of years older.
Logic is always put aside if needed, in Nanoha. Erio and Caro got DRAFTED into Riot 6 by Fate - their sorta-"mom".
...
This pic makes wish for a story where a chibi Signum acts as Subaru's concience no matter the context.
And Hayate the passions/lust/devil on the other shoulder, right?
Man, I wish I was screenplay writer and director for Nanoha.
Lesbian love
>Signum-tan: Tea is going to hate you, Subaru, don't do it!
>Hayate-tan: Nonsense, girlfriend. She said she has to get up early to train, didn't she? You NEED to wake her up. To grab her breast to ensure that is you duty!
>Tea
It will be funnier if the chibis remain somewhat in character. Signum-tan would call her Teana.
...
tiddies
Right, I screwed that up (it was 6am). Sigh.
What's with all these punchers? Where are the actual fucking mages with staffs?
Michilda-style is old and busted, Belka-style is the new hotness.
Vivio is my favorite girl in all of Nanoha.
I love her as a loli in StrikerS.
I love her as an adult in StrikerS.
I love her as a loli in Vivid.
I love her as an adult in Vivid.
And I will love her in Vivid Strike.
>Belka-style
Oh you mean like Vita and Signum who use weapons instead of fighting like Power Rangers?
Belka-style puts more emphasis on the physical aspect than the magical energy aspect. Whether the user uses weapons or their fists is up to them. Vivid is about kids practicing Strike Arts/martial arts anyway so of course there would be next to none Michilda-style mages in there.
Vivio really needs to work on her long range bombardment. She's more suited for it than she is melee though she does it so to be guard for Nanoha should the time ever come.
I think they're talking Modern Velka Style which closer to what Subaru does.
>she does it so to be guard for Nanoha should the time ever come
The time will never come.
>washikko
AOTS.
>Mamiko called it "Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha Vivid Strike" on her radio show
That's a paddlin'
