This shit's gonna make me cry man .Fuck this movie.

BASED godani saving anime

How much bullying is in this?

I'm ready

...

Enough to break your soul.

>Kara no Kyoukai
>Kyoukai no Kanata
>Koe no Katachi
Don't use 'KnK' ever again, please.

>spaghetti
everytime

There's also this, though nobody give a shit about it.

Man he looks like a fucking edgelord

I have an entire folder
Those threads were a wild ride

Looks like a little fuccboi.

KnK > KnK > shit > KnK >> KnK
Prove me wrong

...

Looks like the blood from the ears is anime OC. And it sounds like the class is also not bullying her since kawai sounded really worried about deaf girl. So I guess they're gonna make the boy look like a totally douche.

>Kyoani is bullying Ishida

>watching harcore porn with my ototou

if this was about a guy getting bullied by girls Sup Forums would be fapping.

Watch and learn Shaft.

I can't wait to hear Shouko's retarded deaf speech.

part 2

K I N O

Whoa, there's some fancy shots there

Not amused, confirmed flop.

Shit, I'd forgotten about this already.

Damn. Yamada is not joking. That part where the character was weaving through the crowd.

How much foot service will we see?

>tfw reliving the bullying suffered in high school

What? All of that was in the one shot and manga.

I think I understand if the movie bombs in the box office. And not because it's a bad movie, in fact it probably can surpass Shinkai's movie, but taking into account the theme of Koe no Katachi and the little I've seen from those clips I think people might get scared of watching it. It's gonna be hard to sit through the whole thing.

I wish it was longer.

Those parts where in the manga. In the manga the blood is represented as droplets. Also, I guess you missed the entire character of kawai since that was her entire schtick

I don't think this is the continuous 5 minute clip.

Seems like some parts where being cut to tell the story.

However that part did happen in the manga.

scared of what...?

There's one short scene with nothing but feet in the second twitter video

Yeah anyone would have known that immediately as kyoani announced the project.
Shinkais movie is advertised as a feel good movie with a bunch of insert songs stuck in it to help elevate the mood.

Koe no Katachi had trouble getting published because of its heavy material. Why anyone would think this is going to get any traction in theaters is beyond me. I honestly have no idea what kyoani was thinking doing this project or the point of adapting it.

I can see where you're coming from, and while I hope that's not the case, if it doesn't do so well in Japan box office wise I hope it at least gets the critical recognition it deserves, domestically and internationally.

Well for one thing, it wasn't KyoAni's idea. This is an adaptation job and that means KyoAni is getting paid to make this film. The author and the publisher of the manga are the ones who sponsored the film, so it's not like KyoAni is going to take a loss even if the film didn't make money.

Yes, it is risky, but KyoAni aren't the ones to are burdened with the risk.

>The author and the publisher of the manga are the ones who sponsored the film, so it's not like KyoAni is going to take a loss even if the film didn't make money.

That's different. KyoAni are at the top of the committee. They poured a big chunk of money here.

>I honestly have no idea what kyoani was thinking doing this project or the point of adapting it.

Isn't this what people have been asking them to do when all they did was adapt mainstream otaku material?

On the matter of heavy vs light material, it is theorised that consumers love happy stories when times are tough, but prefer tragedies and sad stories when times are good.

Japan had not been in a boom for more than a decade now, so it explains why so much moe and slice of life happy stories.

>chromatic aberration
KYOANIIIIIIIII

I think KyoAni has more say than just being a contractor. The site has only their logo and the owner of the domain is also the owner of other KyoAni properties, not to mention they uploaded the PVs to their channel and not Kodansha's. They probably bought part if not all of the rights to the adaptation like they did with Hibike.

>if it doesn't do so well in Japan box office wise

guaranfuckingtee it won't do shit all in the theaters

Also koe no katachi isn't exactly a master class in storytelling nor is it covering a dark theme in a new way. Why would it be deserving of international praise? The animation would be the only real take away here.

Fuck. Well I wish them the best.

Well, I personally salute them for taking a project as risky as Koe no Katachi.

kyoani always with the next level sakuga

>1st video was almost 4 hours ago
>2nd video was almost an hour ago

Jesus. Either this guy has shitty internet or someone sending this to him has shit internet.

>Why would it be deserving of international praise?

Because it'll be a GOOD movie?

>bullying
This may be too real for me.

>Why would it be deserving of international praise?
Yeah user, why would a good movie deserve international praise?

if it includes the hamfisted drama and the shallow supporting cast from the second half of the manga it won't be a good movie.

because maybe it won't be a good movie? Considering the source material? It's not special in any way whatsoever?

Gee I don't fucking know

Jesus the editing done for this preview feels so weird. Judging by the 60 minute trailer and the rest of the footages released, the cuts were not that abrupt.

How can KnK even compete?
youtube.com/watch?v=M4O4SQszqiY

K-On's source material and to some extent Haruhi's weren't good at all.

>because maybe it won't be a good movie? Considering the source material? It's not special in any way whatsoever?

Does everything have to be special to be a good movie?

I think you're banking way too much on the "unique" aspect.

The strongest part of the manga is the message. If the movie executes that well then it will be a good movie.

>Koe no Katachi had trouble getting published because of its heavy material.
I think people who read the manga seem to forget this even though this was plastered all over the first few chapters of the manga. Talking about how hard it was to get published and that people won't want a story like this.

There is no reason to think this is going to be a commercial success. Not that that matters but it'll be used as a negative to kyoani for years to come.

It literally can't. It's not a feel good movie with mainstream appeal.

kyoanusfags btfo so now resorting to self hatred.

Even normies are praising how the movie looks and feels.
Sasuga Shinkai saving the industry.

>but it'll be used as a negative to kyoani for years to come
Which is stupid, obviously. Looking down on an anime studio because they were willing to take a risk is the antithesis of everything Sup Forums purports to believe. I'm sure people will still do it, but it'll be stupid. If all we're looking for from studio is commercial success then we're just hoping for more bland otaku pandering.

>Not that that matters but it'll be used as a negative to kyoani for years to come.

Why exactly?

twitter.com/33213abc/status/771571570053570570

3rd part.

because Sup Forums is slowly turning into Sup Forums where people care about sales of a product so they can validate their brand loyalty

normie stuff

Kimi no na Wa = Marvel kiddy shit

Koe no Katachi = DC Dark and mature themes

1 minute only? Was that already 5 minutes in total?

>kyoanusfags btfo
Now being a top notch studio is a bad thing.
Go to sleep kiddo

New PV soon.

Have you never been in a Kyoani thread? Sup Forumsnons love to troll them all day calling every new kyoani show a flop.

Konpeki no Kantai?

>slowly turning

we have sales and preorder threads on the daily

Why? What would be the point of a 3rd PV?

No idea why. They've profited on every show they made for a long time now.

That's a dumb analogy.

They're both different aspects.

One is romance with fantasy elements

The other is a more grounded movie with serious themes.

Oh my god Shouko is going to be so fucking cute

Because it's September already. The movie comes out in Sept 17. Any promotion is good promotion.

Anime experts like pretending they know what's best for KyoAni

Sup Forums has been shitting on Shinkai since the beginning of times and now that there's a movie of KyoAni in the same time period suddenly Shinkai is a god.

...

>Sup Forums has been jerking off on Shinkai's clouds since the beginning of times

ftfy

This is probably the first time I'll see Sup Forums shit on a KyoAni show that is not a typical Otaku material.

Violet Evergarden will be fun.

>Sup Forums has been shitting on Shinkai since the beginning of times
Nigger you can't be serious.

because it's literally the best ammo to troll kyoanus lickers given to us by the cloud god

Best girl.

Seppaku when?

>sales
>normie stuff

Nah, the average person just watches what they like and what's popular in their circles, they don't give a shit how much it sold in Japan.

he had predictable endings that he abused until kimi no nawa. that was the only thing people hated.

>they didn't adapt this part
What a shame

They cut out most of the exposition. The transition from the cuts in this version is too abrupt.

u.pomf.is/crnbuc.mp4

Maybe they did. There were so much cut scenes from the movie itself. Things that were shown in the PV that logically would be there weren't.

There are a lot of quick cuts that will be in the final movie, but please tell me you recognized where they edited the film for the sake of time. I think that made up the majority of awkward cuts in the NHK footage.

That's what I actually meant. The awkward footage from the NHK version doesn't do justice to this because they crammed parts of the movie for the sake of time.

That reaction. Holy shit.

Dead on the spot. There's no way this can even manage to get 1/8 of Shinkai's film.
