Who was in the wrong?

Who was in the wrong?

They were both in the right.

W-what?

>Osiris/Slifer is the retarded half brother of the Egyptian Gods since he only knows how to the blow the fuck out of his own allies

>Obelisk had to twiddle his thumbs during the final duel because both he and Atem forgot about his proto DM infinite attack god hand crusher instant win effect

>Ra is literally the worst god card and even if you count the sphere mode and phoenix mode cards it means that you'd need 2 extra cards for him to not be complete shit

the sangenshin were a mistake

What if he wanted to lose?

No one. They both want the same thing. The duel was just some sort of ritual.
The only one in the wrong was Anzu who want egyptian ghost dick to the point she tried to talk him off from passing to next life.

Yeah. It happened

I know that, but why would anyone be in the wrong?

Was it ever explained what happened to the ancient stone tablets that became children's trading cards in the future?

No one?

>start watching abridged

Dropped.

Sacrificing your friends for power ain't so bad

What sacrifice was made here?

but then why obtain power to begin with if you have no friends to use it with?

returning to the throne/afterlife.

>returning to the throne/afterlife.
So you're saying Yugi sacrificed Atem for power? Even if I'd call it a "sacrifice", which I wouldn't, what power did Yugi obtain?

He didn't obtain any power, the person you replied to didn't watch the episode.

to call himself the king of games. and it is a sacrifice. the whole thing is a matter of whether or not he could truly on his own terms without needing a divine crutch. proving that cost him that crutch in the process, which he knew. how is this debatable?

free will

It was just a formality and a good way to end the series, Atem wanted to lose anyways and Yugi is obviously not as good as he is, so the sacrifice is actually Yugi's. He lost his closest friend.

Power is for yourself, not for others.

lol, you know that the anime made this fight a lot more hype, but all the more stupid because they wanted the 3 gods in game, in the manga it looked a lot more serious with Atem only summoning obelisk and not having two cards to use his infinite attack bullshit, and getting owned by the silent swordsman.

In the end the manga made it look more like real battle unlike the anime where Atem seemed like he was losing willingly because he wasnt't using the full potential of the Sangenshin .

Just ssYoutube it.

Didn't he use ground erosion to negate Obelisk's ability, even though traps are not supposed to work on god cards?

...

I remember that thread.
