i am not an expert, but i've researched the claims made by others.

jet fuel is stable enough that if you drop a match into a bucket of it - the match will go out, and no fire will start.

the only way to ignite it is by vaporizing it or misting it, and even then you need something 200-something degrees Celsius to ignite it.

now...if he used incendiary rounds those could be as hot as 900 degrees - but the liquid fuel still wouldn't ignite.
