This will be a thread dedicated to organizing, timestamping, and ultimately stitching up ALL the Vegas footage into one, chronological, gap-less video. It is strictly goal-oriented, and is not meant to be a recurring general thread. It will be repeated only as many times as needed to reach its goal.
There has been much too much theory-hashing ever since the Las Vegas shooting occurred. All the talk about Paddock and his brother and hookers and multiple shooters and the guard and the suicide post-it-note is interesting, but you can speculate all day and only get a fraction of where you could have gone if you had solid physical evidence.
I have prepared a design for a project aimed at producing a piece of video evidence that is more complete and solid than any single piece of footage out right now. The project, as designed, will consist of a combination of broadcasts (these threads) and email communications. This will be explained more fully in the sections below.
As of right now, I do not know of a video that has been put together that contains every piece of footage of the event. There currently exists a video on liveleak that shows the first 9 minutes of the shooting, and it's made up of several videos synced up. It's an excellent video, but more can be done. More points of view can be added and more gaps can be filled in terms of the timeline. The New York Times also released a similar video, but it only showed one angle at a time and had some narrator talking over the whole thing.
What will be able to be figured out with a full patched-up version of the footage?
-EXACTLY how many rounds were shot -EXACTLY how much time passed between the very first shot and the very last one -How much time passed between each burst of shooting -Which sounds are echoes and which are not
I don't believe there is a single person or group in the entire world who will do this except for pol and probably the FBI. If this doesn't get done HERE, it's not ever going to get done.

THE PROJECT'S DESIGN
---This project is not intended to be a way to speculate on what happened or to try to prove one theory over another. This project is ONLY about the proper organizing and putting together of hard evidence.---
Because this project has a specific design in terms of its functionality, phases, and distribution of materials, I ask that, if you wish to include yourself in this, to allow me to act as the director and organizer of this project, and to follow my instructions where I make specific requests or formatting rules.
The "VEGAS FOOTAGE CONSOLIDATION PROJECT" will be divided into four distinct phases. The current phase will always be displayed in the OP of every one of these threads. When it is time to move on to the next phase, I will create a new thread and will update the "CURRENT PHASE:" line in the OP. In order for this to stay organized, I ask that you only focus on the tasks outlined in "THE CURRENT PHASE" (below) and not skip ahead. The phases are as follows, followed by their overviews:
PHASE 1 - CASTING A WIDE NET PHASE 2 - REMOVING DUPLICATES PHASE 3 - DETECTIVE WORK PHASE 4 - COMPOSITING FINAL VIDEO
Colton Cooper
PHASE 1 - CASTING A WIDE NET This phase will pertain to the sifting through a collection of zip archives, containing several hundred video files, and for each video file answering the question "Is this file a piece of raw unedited footage from the shooting?" and then marking/sorting the files accordingly.
PHASE 2 - REMOVING DUPLICATES During this phase, duplicate files from the collection will be removed so that only unique video clips will be left over.
PHASE 3 - DETECTIVE WORK This phase will be the most difficult and involved. It will consist of figuring out the exact start and end times of each unique clip of footage. It will also be the phase to introduce any new footage that I missed in my initial bulk download (ie - what I prepared before this project even started).
PHASE 4 - COMPOSITING FINAL VIDEO Phase 4 will be exactly what it sounds like. After all the proper investigation and time-marking has been done, all of the video files will be combined into one seamless video which will go immediately online to become the main video footage source for the Las Vegas shooting.
After these four phases are complete, then and ONLY THEN will it be time to actually start analyzing everything and counting the gunshots and distinguishing the echoes and observing any suspicious people. And at that point, this project will have been completed. As stated earlier, this is NOT an analysis and speculation thread.
I am hoping that this entire process will take no longer than a 2-3 weeks, but I really have no idea how fast or slow something like this would take. If enough people come on board with this I think it can go quite quickly. If you are willing to take occasional instruction and follow my formatting rules, this might end up being extremely efficient.

THE CURRENT PHASE: PHASE 1 - CASTING A WIDE NET
I have prepared a collection of a few hundred videos that I was able to pull off of YouTube and LiveLeak. It's all I could find that matched "vegas shooting", "mandalay bay", and "vegas footage". I believe that most of the footage of the event is scattered throughout this collection.
There is also a lot of crap that needs to be thrown out, and that's what Phase 1 is for.
The collection is split up into 87 zip files, each containing 10 video files and one text file. Each video file has a 3-digit identification number preceding it. These ID numbers will stay the same for each file throughout the duration of the entire project. The text file contains a template sheet for you to fill out, along with instructions of how to fill it in properly and how to send it to me. An example sheet and zip archive is shown in pic related.
Listed below are the links to each of the 87 zip archives that have yet to be gone through.
If any of these download links gets taken down or becomes unavailable, please email me at [email protected] to let me know. I will re-upload the file and begin a new thread with the fixed links as soon as I can.
Also, if the download speeds turn out to be glacial, let me know and I'll upgrade to a paid MEGA account.

AUTHENTICITY, SECURITY, AND THE BENEFITS OF CENTRALIZING THIS PROJECT
If this is the first time you are seeing this thread, check the catalog/archive or archive.4plebs.org/pol right now and see if there are any threads that are titled "VEGAS FOOTAGE CONSOLIDATION PROJECT" or just search through the threads about vegas/paddock/mandalay. You will find that the very earliest instance of "VEGAS FOOTAGE CONSOLIDATION PROJECT" occurs in thread #146266276 and was posted on October 22, 2017 at 19:17:57 UTC. The thread was titled "VEGAS FOOTAGE CONSOLIDATION PROJECT #001 - INTRODUCTION AND FIRST HELLOS" and was posted by someone using the name DaleGribble with the tripcode !!Ri2d5yU1W/w. If you do another search for that specific name, you will also find that the very first instance ever of DaleGribble !!Ri2d5yU1W/w occurs in thread #146264405 on October 22, 2017 at 19:02:18 UTC. This was a test post.
The reason I'm spelling this out in so much detail is to provide a mechanism that will allow you to verify whether a "VEGAS FOOTAGE CONSOLIDATION PROJECT" thread was started by the same person who actually started the project. If you are interested in participating in this project, I discourage you from participating in any "VEGAS FOOTAGE CONSOLIDATION PROJECT" threads that were NOT started by DaleGribble !!Ri2d5yU1W/w.

If you want to pin and slide-proof this thread for yourself, use Sup Forums's filter. If you don't know how to use it, here's a step-by-step with some suggested settings:
1. Click "Filters" from the catalog 2. Click "Add" 3. Input #!!Ri2d5yU1W/w as the Pattern 4. pol as the board 5. Select "Top" 6. Pick a color to associate with this thread. It's not totally necessary but I personally like using colors with the filter because it allows you to instantly differentiate which threads are affected by the filter. 7. Click "Save"
Now whenever a thread is started by DaleGribble !!Ri2d5yU1W/w it will be at the top of your catalog and will stay there until it expires, regardless of bump status, age, or thread sliding activities by shills.

The reason I'm discouraging others to copy this thread and to participate in copied threads is twofold- security, and more importantly, integrity of information and material.
Security: This project heavily relies on email communication. While I strongly suggest that you set up a throwaway email and use some combination or TOR/VPN when you send emails, I know some of you might choose to use your regular email accounts for this. While it makes no difference to me whether or not you protect yourself, using your own email may be troublesome if you participate in a copied thread, as there is no guarantee that the email address provided by the creator of the copied thread will be the same email address that I have provided in THIS thread. And, because these threads will include download links to large amounts of material, there is an extra risk in participating in copied threads because there is, again, no guarantee that the links provided in the copied thread will be the same as those provided by DaleGribble !!Ri2d5yU1W/w.
Benjamin Gomez
Integrity of Information and Material (ie- the benefits of centralizing this project): Because the ultimate goal of this project is the production of a single video file, there needs to be a system in place that allows for everyone's work to wind up in one location. For this particular project, the single location is an email inbox that contributors should send their work to. I am opting to use email for this instead of having everything posted in this thread to avoid the need to constantly monitor the thread and fight trolls/shills. With an email inbox, your work won't get buried. Unless I get spammed, but that'll be my own issue to deal with if it happens.
This project will involve the downloading of many zip archives and will involve an almost constant pruning and reorganizing of files. This means that the download list provided in the "THE CURRENT PHASE" section will be updated from thread to thread. If, for instance, someone were to create a copied thread and include exactly the same email address found in this thread and include the same exact links found in this thread, those links may very well be outdated at the time the poster starts the copied thread. So even if someone has no mal intent at all and only wants to help, they may actually end up being disruptive. This is why, again, I am asking that people not make copies of this thread. I promise to post it at least once a day.

A WORD ON MY OWN COMMUNICATIONS
I have spent a good deal of time preparing for this project to go smoothly. Everything that is needed to participate has already been provided in this thread and in the downloads above. I've spent the time and effort to be as thorough and explicit as possible in my writing for three reasons:
1. To minimize the need for extra clarification. I will not, for the most part, have much time to stick around in these threads for long to answer questions or post memes.
2. So that this project can run smoothly without my presence (aside from starting these threads and providing updates).
3. So that work can be done on this project even when there is no thread up for it at all.
Because of my time limitations, these threads will act more like a broadcast than a conversation, at least from my end. I will copy and paste this entire wall of text every single time I start a new thread, update the thread count in the OP, update the contents of the "THE CURRENT PHASE" section, stick around for a few minutes, and then leave. I have planned this entire project around the assumption that I will be able to broadcast via Sup Forums, and communicate with you and receive data via email. So please go make a throwaway email, and save my email address: [email protected]

FBI NIGGERS IN THE TORRENT
An user from an earlier thread has very graciously prepared a torrent containing the full collection of 87 zip files. Feel free to use it but always be aware of the privacy risks that come with torrenting. Use a VPN preferably. That user should check his email.
To the anons who post the timeline images and charts, thank you. They've all been saved and will be kept in mind when it's time to timestamp stuff.
Lastly, I truly thank the anons who have come forward and starting sifting through the footage. You guys rock.
And with that I've gotta rush off.

Will this be a project that can be used as a ice bucket challenge to youtube shooting channels so they can recreate a mirror challenge of the shooting with the official rifles and done in the official time line ?

Bump. Jfk is being released today, so some of us autists are going to be there. The files are not released yet.
So you want to peice together the videos. It seems to me that the shotting sounds could act as a place marker.
Then have a JKF style "magic bullet voiceover" type of thing explain position and events like kevin kosner.

This thread might get BTFO for a few days by the JFK release
>(1) Nah mate, it's a great idea, it just requires a lot of effort. Would really help get to the bottom of things if it's done correctly / accurately. It wouldn't be the first time we've combined our autisms for a good cause.
