Anyone else find that battles where the MC isn't involved are better? When it's the best friend/rival/reluctant teammate/whatever fighting the bad guys it actually feels more intense because you know that that character doesn't have almighty plot armour and he might actually lose with severe consequences. To me those fights are better because there's you feel like there's actually something at stake.
