>before 1993 is millennial
you're making Canadians look bad

>Everyone born before 1993 is a millennial

Even those born in 60s?

Good information thanks user

I think the 60s are the baby boomers, either way its just an age group not political belief

what if you're born 1993?

Then you are a millenial. The millenials were named sometime in the early 80s

stand up for the national anthem boy

t. 18 year old senior

fucking meh

Actually gen z is basically anyone under ~18

Millennials are roughly 18-36 or so

Sitting during the anthem or pledge of allegiance is degenerate

Dont worry about it, it literally means nothing. Millenial isnt a mindset its just a time period

>inb4 generational horoscopes

1993 til infinity =Gen Z

in sweden, playing the anthem is a crime against humanity, trying to fortify white privileged structures. the punishment is to get beheaded in your town square, according to islamic traditions, inshallah

I'm 39, what am I?

u old as fuck nigga lmao

gen x

checked

IRRELEVANT

I dont know what a generational horoscope is honestly. I dont buy that millenials are libtards argument. The people who claim millenials are this or that dont even know what it means most of the time. I dislike that we divided ourselves even more over what year we were born.
The people who defeat Antifa will be made up of generation x and millenials.

yeah, it was a lame joke

Is 1995 Generation Z?

You mean born AFTER 1993 you leafy cunt.

KYS by drowning in maple syrup now.

a raging faggot.

>1984
>Am gen Y
>2012
>I am a millenial
>Gen X remains
>There's a notorious Gen Z
>Gen Y is now millenial
Divide and conquer. Fuck boomers though. Boomers are the legacy generation. Useful idiots, cattle, nothing more.

Holy shit its that bad? Doesnt that mean Islam is in contol there?

Am gen z AMA

I realized this was going to happen as soon as I posted it. Damn it.

I was born in the 80's before the internet. How the fucking fuck does that make me a millennial? Typical Leaf, really.
>As Treudeau would say, "the farther back you go, the farther forward you will be"

Gen x

It depends on your source but generally it’s like this

>Gi genneration b: ~1905-1928 ~90+
>silent generation b: 1928-1942 ~75-90
>boomer b: 1943-1960 57-75
>gen x b: 1961-1980 37-56
>millennial b: 1981-1999/2000 (not really clear yet) aged 18-36
>gen z b: 1999-present aged 18 and under

future baby boomer replacement shouls start being born sometime around 2020-2022

Because thats when you were born, and thats all it means. Being a millenial you can still be a patriot.

22 years old. Staunch conservative.

Thread did still spread information
Everyone is looking for something to fix because we are so broken as country that Antifa organized. Millenials arent the problem unless you wanna genocide an entire generation based on the time period they were born in.
The MSM makes it a lot easier to form opinons before the facts are understood.

>Everyone born before 1993 is a millennial
so I'm a millennial? Born in 1975?

dude wtf lol

>unless you are 40 you are a millenial
nope, the youngest bracket of Gen X is just barely turning 40 these years, Gen X is approximately early 60's to early 80's -whereas Gen Y (millennials) are early-mid 80's to early-mid 00's. Gen Z starts around 2003, at it's earliest.

t. someone who studies this boring shit.

baby boomers came of age in the 60's, they were born from around mid 30's to mid 50's.

No

Pic related is roughly the the generational breakdowns it varies a couple years depending on what study/sociologist/historian you are reading

But they are roughly 20 year segments and they can be broken up by people experiencing relatively similar cultural events and thus identify with each other

It’s only good for broad trends and population changes not “lol he’s a millennial so therefore he’s a liberal”. No that’s so asinine it’s not even funny

There were ww2 vets that turned into Marxist hippies and there are millennials that at raging neo nazis so don’t take observations of a whole genneration and assume that it applys t individuals

bingo.

Here is the only verified way of knowing if you are millennial or gen zyklon. (and for the measure, there are currently NO millennials in traditional age university or high school)

Did you have a childhood that had no tablets, smart phones, or high speed internet? Perhaps you used dial up internet? Do you remember what its like to have your parents pull over and ask for directions? Do you remember getting pokemon yellow on Christmas? Do you have complete memories of what you did on 9/11?

If you answered no to these questions you are not millennial. Frankly, millennial is now currently in meme status, since most millennials are in their 30s at this point or approaching. Only the youngest millenials, such as 1992, and 1993, are still "young." (mid-20s.) Within a year or two you will start seeing mass "gen z nostalgia" such as they did with so called millennial nostalgia, and you will learn to hate it all. In fact, in some places they are already starting to shill the "child of the 00s" meme.

I was born in 1986 and yes to all of those except Pokemon because I didn't play it

that's only the most broad definition and at least 90% of demographers put1993-1995 as the cut off. Being 2 or 3 when 9/11 happened, and being in elementary when Obama was elected is not a millennial. Not in any real sense involving how the two generations actually grew up technology-wise. Millennial is the last generation that could grow up "disconnected," or "unplugged."

The reason people get a little confused is because these things are really only apparent after the fact

The millennial gen z breakdown will probably hinge on your memories of 9/11 and ensuing chaos

If you are born in 1991 9/11 Iraq, Katrina and 08 are major events that shaped your world as a teenager

If you are a kid born in 2000 you were barely noticing the world around you in 2010

You are just nw a teenager and probably having some understanding of the world but you have lived in this world your whole life, you have no memory of before this thing we are in now.

So somebody born in say 91has more cultural affinity with somebody born in 1981 than born in 2001

So you can think of it like that

1986 is straight center of millennial demographic timeline that's why.

That would make a lot of sense

If I was born in 89 am I millennial? I was 10 during y2k, turned 11 later than year obvs.

Yes I agree with you I’d guess the officially date will end up probably 1995 or so because 9/11 is a Seminole event and it has and continues to direct the way the world has gone

Being aware of it and before it is crucial in shaping your world view

Yes

Welp turns out I'm millennial as fuck. Played pokemon yellow on that sick purple Gameboy color mah nigga

gen z in poland is based?

Millennials end in 1999. If you were born last century you just can’t be a part of Gen Z.

1981

what am I?

my whole life I was called genX until recently i hear this shit that im a millenial?

>Millennial is the last generation that could grow up "disconnected," or "unplugged."
I'd say that was Gen X, also referred to as the last generation of the old world. Gen Y/Millennials does not remember a time without cellphones and the internet.

generation zyklon reporting in

>So somebody born in say 91has more cultural affinity with somebody born in 1981 than born in 2001
this is very well put.

They’re called millennials because they came of age in the new millennium.

You bought into the agenda congratulations troll.
The could divide over everything once they divide you over what year you were born or what culture you grew up in.
Millenials advanced this world just as much as any other generation.

>tfw Gen z faggots will never know what's it like spending upwards of 5 minutes downloading a single low res pic of of a chick with her tits out on the family computer

this.

80's sure as hell are no millenials.

we are the base, the last generation of reason, the last generation that experienced genuine restletts of capitalism, creativity and hope, peae and real music... n shit.
cant really explain, but that was the last time there was the scent of freedom, peace and hope in the air ... and it was in the music too .. that spitic.

OK let me put it this way : the 80's ere the last time, that magic was in the air and in the spirits. it was the time when boomers killed it.

obviously right now, some strange ressurection of that spirit is happening, on the right side, the conservative sinde, it's could be resensend in meme magic n that shit ... something is happening ... You can feel it ...

Obvious bait threat. Using the mini-hype surrounding generation Z and millenials + saying some mildly controversial opening.

Sage'd. Juste ignore obvious bait threads.

well according to people like you people born in 1978 are boomers, and people born in 2003 are millennials. I like to base things off actual living conditions.

Baby Boomers are those born in the mid-40s to early 60s during an actual baby boom.

There is a vast difference from kids who grew up in the 90s and kids who grew up in the 2000s. I don't understand why people insist on grouping these two decades into the millennial group when, for starters, 9/11 changed the entire landscape of early 2000s life. Not to mention the 2000s kids were the first to grow up with complete internet integration.
It is just not accurate to lump the latter half of the 95 birth years into the millennial generation, they were raised entirely differently.

I'd say you're Gen X, the youngest bracket, seeing as you remember the time before cellphones, internet and 9/11 -hell, you remember Kurt Cobain and Nirvana before he offed himself. You have more in common with me than you'd have with someone born in '86.

You are wrong the 80’s are millennials

Half of millennials are liberals and some
Of the worst sjw marxists in the world are people in their early 30’s

Just because 60% of your genneration isn’t like you doesn’t mean you aren’t part of it fag

You aren’t a special snowflake

Fuck off. Between Boomers and the shitlenials came Gen X.

>mfw when Gen Y will never know the glory of fapping to lingerie magazines and scrambled porn on late night TV

No Gen Z is considered starting sometime around the mid-90's. They're categorized as the generation that has no memory of 9/11 and grew up during the recession.

granted, that is the broad definition.

You ginger ales are weird.

It’s
Greatest Gen
Silent Gen
Boomers
Gen X
Gen Y
Gen Z
Millenials
Billenials
Trillenials
Anals

Ok?

true, but... nobody remembers us. All we ever really did was being ironic and saying "so-fucking-what" to everything.

kæk

>Millenials
>Billenials
>Trillenials
>Anals
lolwut

>tfw your first sexual memory is masturbating to scrambled porn at 3pm when you were 10 years old

Interesting. Never thought of it that way. The more in common part. How old are you?

I was definitely born on the cusp of the internet age. I was like 10 when we got a PC that I could play games like wolfenstein and mortal kombat on. My old man was a programmer.

I remember when having a pager meant youre a drug dealer or a doctor. You can buy smokes from the corner store and just say they were for your dad. Niggers stayed in their containment zones. Etc

>There is a vast difference from kids who grew up in the 90s and kids who grew up in the 2000s.
That’s bullshit. I was born in the mid-80s and work with teens. Late 90s teens are millennials. They remember shit that I grew up with. They remember watching movies on VHS. They remember some of the cartoons. Even as late as 1999 they were much more like millennials. When I worked with middle school kids born circa 2003 it was vastly different. I had to explain to them what a VHS was. Also, 9/11 happened in late 2001. It was a big event. Anyone born in 98 would have been about 3 years old and that’s old enough to remember such a major event.

Gennerations are defined by and define events so it’s not a perfect classification especially when you talk about where one begins and one ends

The general idea was that it would be 1980’s to 2000 but 9/11 could very well end up being the lynchpin

If that is the case then the millennials will actually be a very short genneration. I’m willing to tack on a few extra yeas day 1997

Even though these kids were not really “old enough” they have been imprinted by their older relatives enough to probably consider them millennials.

It will (based on Strauss and Howe) really come down to when our society moves out of nor current crisis mode and into a more stable paradigm

I think the massive right word swing is the beginning of the end of our “crisis” and a prelude to whatever culture/social stasis we will see in the 2020’s and 2030’s

I expect things to look much brighter by the middle of trumps second term

So conservative. So based.

You're damn right

>one picture of a faggot out of tens of millions of kids means they are flaming marxists

Kys with your retardation

You make productive conversations impossible

But that’s what most Boomers go with. Think those born in the early 40s should be Boomers because they turned 20 in the early 60s so socially they they were with the boomers. And by 60-61 the boom started leveling off so they should just be Gen X. What I’m saying is defining generations comes down to the individual defining them. It’s just easier to mark them in blocks of twenties:
00-19, 20-39, 40-59, 60-79, 80-99

damn, son... not half bad.
>How old are you?
41, born december '75. I can relate to a lot of what you say, I had a Commodore64 in the late 80's and pagers were (also in Denmark) something crimeriders really loved. I had one in the 90's lol

I agree with this for a lot of general discussion

If you really want to get into the weeds of generational theories and social/cultural shifts it can get pretty fun to pinpoitn specific years

A W A K E N E D
S A X O N

24 is the new 18

>They remember watching movies on VHS
then they're either piss poor, or you worked somewhere in the developing world. VHS was being phased out in the late 90's, if kids born around that time say they remember VSH etc. then they're either nostagizising about their grandparents, lying or the above mentioned examples.
>Also, 9/11 happened in late 2001. It was a big event. Anyone born in 98 would have been about 3 years old and that’s old enough to remember such a major event.
no, it's not. Very few people remember significant shit from before their 5th or 6th year. I was born '75, Elvis died '77 and I sure don't remember that.. even though I sure do love The King.

true, true dat.

Did you really just compare the death of Elvis to 9/11?

9/11 is like watergate, man on the moon, Kennedy assasination, VJ Day, pearl harbour etc

Elvis dying...Jesus fuck m8 I

>80's sure as hell are no millenials.
You 80s kids are definitely millennials.

>t. late 70s kid

he makes a good point.

People identify with the death of Elvis as much as they do with 9/11. Its weird but I think on point.

You’re a huge retard. Enjoy being raped by Muslims.

they just want to go waaahhh, i listened to Nirvana in 1999 as a freshman in High School, that means I'm gen x!

>Did you really just compare the death of Elvis to 9/11?
YES! HE WAS THE KING! No, of course it's not as significant, but it was a major happening in it's time.

Well that explains why the world is so fucked up

A bunch of middle aged retards think the death of an obese drug addict is a major event in their lives

For real nigga
