I started on the manga for Arslan but didn't enjoy it. The anime looked like it had some serious QUALITY so I didn't even start it. I would really like to read the books however. Have they ever been translated?

I'm not against time skip but I feel like Autumn and especially Winter, got too much storytime, and while I'm ok on skipping a lot of repetitive hijinks I feel like skipping more than one year, with more temporal jump later, ruined the pacing.
