Has anyone new picked up the 'ascendance of a bookworm' novel translation yet?
Has anyone new picked up the 'ascendance of a bookworm' novel translation yet?
The one currently working on it obviously doesn't really wants to do it
It's important someone picks this up before it fades into oblivion. already now it avarges 1 chapter every 2 weeks, when the tl can do 3 a week.
she had no problems keeping up to schedual with the already translated kumo desu nani whatever, but this rare gem of slice-of-life isekai isn't to her tastes it seems
im sure if you asked her she would be glad to share what raw she have. afterall, its jus a chore for her, the translation. if this burden is taken of her hands everyone would be happy!
>It's escapism!
>Can't you see it's not healthy!
So she was doing escapism and was brought to another world and want to contiune escapism?
Weird premise.

Worth a look into if you're as obsessed with books as the main character appears to be?
...
not more worth a look than for anyone else. if anything, just learn from failures to create papers, ink etc so you'd read and memorize well right now how those are made in case you ever have an isekai experiance.
Oh this looks ni-

Dropped.

you sure? just cause there is an influx of those doesn't mean there can't be good ones among them.
Isekaifags always say that. Does she learn magic?

Dont try to coax him to like it. We already enough isekai haters who shit even on goblin slayer and it is my life for some reason.Dont answer those retards.
probably. neither what i red in the manga or the translated wn reached that point yet, but i mean, its a bookworm.
its not like this thread will bump itself, and i can't bump it either so...
...
...
wait, 'it is my life' is isekai? correct me if i wrong, but isn't it just a straight fantasy about a retired knight and a loli? or was it a wrong manga?
No you are not wrong. Goblin slayer isnt isekai either. That is why i said "for some reason".
People called them generic isekai story.
...
...
well, i think those works have their own issues, isekai or not. perhaps they just find common isekai tropes in them or something, but yeah its stupid.
>It's not fair

What's wrong with the guy that's translating it already?
She keeps skipping updates.
It's from an old TV series called the Twilight zone. This old guy who is constantly bullied and berated by his wife for his love of reading and books and has a job at the bank where equally he can't indulge in his passion finds himself the sole survivor of a nuclear fallout (by hiding in a bank vault when the bombs go off). He emerges to an empty world but without all the distractions and nagging and harrasment of his previous life he is overjoyed he can read to his pleasure. The twist is as the episode ends he steps on his glasses which he absolutely needs to see and read - thick bottle-end type ones and they are his only pair...
Let that little girl be thankful she doesn't have the same fate.
The initial premise of this web novel/manga reminded me of that episode of the show and how ironic it would be that her love of reading would be ruined somehow by a cruel cosmic twist.
cant he you know, find another pair of glasses?
but yeah, tnx for explaining
