Is it worth reading?

Is it worth reading?
what should i expect?

Expect the unexpected

No. It starts off really charming but later falls prey to the worst excesses of shonen manga, an endless pileup of nonsensical resurrections and powerlevel bullshit. Usually you have at least until the end of the first big arc for the author to forget what they're doing and the plot to fall apart but not this one

>my red demon blood lets me regenerate until the pacing of this battle is destroyed
>your red demon blood is no match for my nonchalant goku attitude
>jokes on you now I have GRAY demon blood it's even more demony

It started good but by the time they defeat hendricksen it turns into powerlevel garbage full of asspulls. Just read Kongo banchou, at least that one is purposely written ridiculous.

It's shit. Really ... It's boring as fuck. Meliodas is one of the worst shonen characters. Elizabeth cries in every chapter. The sins are bitches. Too many shonen stereotypes. Run away from this shitty thing.

...

Basically this. Read it until Hendricksen gets defeated. Don't bother with the rest. Matter of fact is that Nakaba doesn't know to pace for shit. He introduces new characters/threats but makes them drop like flies while completely sidelining a huge part of the cast. Once powerlevels come into play he just can't stop oneupping himself constantly. And I mean constantly. Same problem plaguer Kongo Banchou eventually but as said, it isn't as egregious because of the different tone of the series.

Don't listen to them user it's a fun series.

I'll give it a try.
Also thanks for the recommendation i have seen that buff giant guy before but never knew how the manga was called.

Just watch the anime, it basically has all the good parts of the beginning of the manga.

It had many downright bullshit moments even before Hendy's fight though.

powerlevels

>what should i expect?
Ten Jobberments getting absolutely BTFO by Meliodas and Escanor
Shitty resurrections
Awful characters
Good guys wins again lol

>all these anons shiting on NNT
Is this a new meme?

>meme
Just because there are a bunch of anons who have shit taste and most people just leave them be and not bother to shit on them in their threads anymore doesn't mean NnT is not shit and people shitting on them in other threads are memeing.

Powerlevels

It's great. Probably the best currently running battle shounen. Every single arc has never turned out the way that people predicted it would, and they bitch about it to no end.

Honestly, the second half is even better than the first, both thematically and action-wise. It takes it's time setting out the greater plot, but the action is quite fast paced and any hints of future events are foreshadowed quite subtly. I can see why it's brilliance goes over the heads of most people.

It's a patrician series, basically. Not for plebs.

Nakaba would die of shame if he ever read this.

Is this pasta? Either way I'm surely going to use it

This

No.

It's basically Fairy Tail except a bit better and there's no that much fanservice(though there's still a lot).

>It's basically Fairy Tail

worst shonen with best art

It's very good. Don't listen to Kingfags and never forget: King a shit.

>best art
Meh. It's ok. I doubt Nakaba could get any better than what he's doing in NnT though.

I like it because its a more fun Fairy tail. I also think it has to do with how young the series is I haven't gotten tired of the mangaka's bullshit yet.

Art reminds me of DB and its probably the only good battle shounen atm, so theres that.

Read it for Escanor, disregard everything else because it's absolutely mediocre, unimaginative and pretty nonsensical.
Escanor is pretty great though.

bump

This, and a little less so Merlin.

Both are pretty fun characters that aren't shown in excess

He's right, though.

Refer to

>what should i expect?

good:
bros & waifus
great paneling, art style, setting, and story pacing
MC with a shit ton of moral ambiguity even 2/3rds the way through the story
randomly reverses a lot of battle shonen tropes

bad:
FT-tier plot armor for nearly every character
power levels become a thing at least for a while
two of the protagonists have currently ridiculously eclipsed everyone, including the big bad enemy team, in power

Typical battle shonen evolution: starts out decent enough and eventually completely runs out of ideas, becoming as generic as you'd expect it to be.

Pretty bad and boring. Read 666 Satan if you like that stuff

So it's fun? Sounds good.

>Merlin cucks Escanor for Arthur

>666 Satan
Nigga can't right anything else after it. He should learn more from his brother.

Power Levels have categories as well. Truly awful

Hope is overrated. None of this would happen if you just gave up on hope

...

>Hope
You meant expectation. Too bad I didn't expect much knowing how ridiculous Kongou Banchou was and I was still slightly disappointed.

I also posted on the wrong thread, but yes it does apply to some level here as well

Escanor is the worst thing about the manga. Literally everything else is great. Only plebians like Escanor.

It's the best ongoing shonen currently, so that speaks for itself.

If NnT is garbage tier, then everything is absolutely shit.

Since when was samefagging considered "a bunch"?

t. meliodasfag

He's right though. People who shit on NnT are idiots who can no longer comprehend the plot, because it abandoned it's simplicity.

No I'm just not Escanorfag. Ironically he's the most unimaginative thing about the manga so far.

Wrong.

Fairy Tail is predictable while NTT isn't.

No, if anything NnTfags are just easily impressed peasants who are also into asspulled powerup after asspulled powerup all with grandiose scale which turned out aren't that impressive because everything precedent and subsequent actually has the same big fat thicc scale usually in comparison to a castle or a mountain.

Sure thing.

Let me predict something in the next chapter right here: Fraud-kun is going to job again

You just said a whole lot of nothing. NnT can never be truly enjoyed by plebs, due to all the subtle foreshadowing, key plot points and extreme detail.

People who say the linear first arc is better are just assblasted morons upset that they can't comprehend the plot anymore. They only read for Escanor because he's the epitome of shonen casual-ness.

Overpowered
>Coooool lines
>Big and strong
>Literally meme the character

I can't think of one battle shonen better than NnT currently.

I didn't say anything you just accused me of in your post and you also sucessfully refuted nothing.

>subtle foreshadowing, key plot points and extreme detail
>PIG NAMED HAWK HIS PREVIOUS INCARNATION WAS A BIRD
>KING SMELLS NOSTALGIC HOLY SHIT DIANE KNEW HIM IN HER PAST
>ALL THAT CELTIC DRUID 3 LEGS THING HOLY SHIT DRUIDISM
>REMEMBER WHEN BAN WIELDED A RAPIER IT WAS AN EXTREME DETAILS FORESHADOW FOR HIS LIGHT AND SMALL WAIFU PREFERENCE
Like I said, easily impressed peasants

Literally every prediction made always turns out to he false 90% of the time. Even if he does job (which he mostly will, he jobs constantly) won't change anything. Especially since we know Merlin is stronger than Fraudrin in Dreyfus' body. You're stating the obvious and trying to pass it off as you being some kind of prophet.

But you just said NnT is unpredictable, and now you say since it's soooo obvious I am not allowed to make such a prediction because it will turn out to be true. Double standards much?

You only scratched the surface. The fact that those are the only ones you can recall is pathetic. Those were the ones that were thrown in your face.

You're saying nothing again, Nakaba-kun.

You didn't read my post. You're predicting that a literal jobber will job which is not truly a prediction, it's stating the obvious. Fraudrin will continue the job unless he abandons Dreyfus' body. It's like me predicting the sun will rise at morning.

>It's like me predicting the sun will rise at morning.

AND WHO DECIDED THAT?

>Picture poster
Yep, I'm done. I learned not to debate with you guys a long time ago.

Not me. The sun won't rise in tomorrow's morning in the artics, because it stays right there.
PLOT
TWIST

TWIST

You keep saying nothing, Nakaba-kun.

>i-its 2deep4u

>if it's related to some established fact in the past, it's POTTERY writing
>if it isn't, it's UNEXPECTED TWIST
So what were the foreshadows for Gloxinia and Dolor being fairy king and giant ancestor again?

It sucks that I'm right though..

The fact their names were being brought up in discussion (Meliodas mentioning Gloxinia in the cave. Hell, Gloxinia called Meliodas old friend before he revealed himself, so that was foreshadowed quite briefly) before the twist makes it pretty obvious that Nakaba was building up for the reveal.

The entire Dolor dancing thing was to introduce his importance to the Giant clan before revealing he's with the 10Cs

Dolor's name dropping was like clearing ways for his introduction than "foreshadowing", there was absolutely nothing connecting the name and the 10 commandments dude beside he's a big guy 4u.
Gloxinia calling Meliodas old friend was meaningless because by that point we should all be aware all 10 commandments were supposed to be his old comrades anyway, and that had nothing to do with fairyking not actually octololi lel. That was completely from the left side.

That's what a plot twist. Nakaba simply namedropped them because of his plans to reveal them as bad guys. It would've came out of nowhere if they hadn't been topic of discussion before the reveal

Any further foreshadowing and it wouldn't have been a twist.

So basically

>it was foreshadowed
>no it wasn't, it was just name dropping
>y-yes but it wouldn't have been a twist! He totally was planning it all along because I say so!

Yeah, I know. I quit. at least provoking other fags can lead to some interesting enlightening facts I'm not usually aware of of the series I'm trying to bait on.

No, he just made it painfully obvious that he was planning something with them. Why else would their names and legacy become relevant? My entire point was that it didn't come out of absolutely nowhere and most things are subtly hinted at or just downright foreshadowed. You probably don't read a lot of Nakaba's manga.

Ironically you use a picture from JoJo, which is the king of asspulls. Truly confusing.

>planning
Dolor's name was dropped 1 chapter before he was revealed to be, dundundun, Dolor.

Maybe I could've expressed myself better if you had better sentence structure and grammar. You weren't making it easy for me at all.

In order to deliver the perfect argument/response, I would expect the person I'm debating with to have some form of intelligence and literacy.

>the foreshadow of 20 pages ago!
Truly inspiring

You skipped the entire flahsback with Diane, didn't you? You guys are only proving my point about inattentive, assblasted morons being the ones to say NnT went downhill. But I'm done, debating on Sup Forums is always a mistake. I somehow keep forgetting that the board is rampant with children.

>being Hiro era newfag
>You skipped the entire flahsback with Diane
Oh yeah, now it's a 2 volumes foreshadowing, a tad shorter than Arthur's name dropping. The point still stands
>there was absolutely nothing connecting the name and the 10 commandments dude beside he's a big guy 4u

This is what NnTfags would pass as a subtle hint now?

I can use the same logic, what was going against the fact that they could've been part of then10 Commandents? Nothing. At the end of the day, you're just a casual reader trying to be smart and critical, but all of your arguments quite questionable. This is my last reply to you, have fun.

>what was going against the fact that they could've been part of then10 Commandents
Nothing, because it was just an empty namedrop of an old giant dude without us knowing how long ago was his era so that Nakaba could either conveniently use it or just safely ignore it later in the story.
And the fact that the giants were fighting against the demons without any mentioning of something as scandalous and historically important as their leader betrayed their own race and became the enemy's ace. He was still praised as their legendary hero in very recent history, even.

I still haven't read o parts hunter (waiting for people to get butthurt that I called it that) but blazer drive was trash. I actually like sukedachi 9 but scans are non existent

>let's nitpick the nitpicker but he could nitpick my nitpicking so let's ignore him

saved

good art, cool fights, tits and legs, fun characters, neat armor, a progressively deteriorating plotline

if you enjoy battle shonen, you should be reading it. If you don't, it won't do anything to change your opinion.

?

The plotline has only gotten better. I was on the verge of dropping until chapter 105. And the fact that it has gained more fans since it's second arc is proof that many people share my opinion.

This thread seems like it needs more SUN

We need everything else but that.

...

it was good until he went full DBZ, complete with grossly overpowered enemies and sidelining all the other characters in favor of one OP badass main who dies, comes back to life, and can't be bothered to actually do anything until all his friends are almost dead...

also this

NTT is predictable as fuck, maybe not in the earlier chapters, but can anyone really say they thought meliodas would stay dead?

But the OP badass main never died user?

such insolent pride
