This is acceptable in a game with uncapped evasion. In a game with a hard cap of 90~99%, it's making certain you'll die at some point where you roll that cap.

Good games use uncapped evasion and have an enemy stat that fights against your evasion stat, so having an absurdly high evasion stat is good unless you fight someone with an equally absurd "hit" stat, but in that case his other stats will be as shitty as yours.
