Can anybody even remotely control our self-aware novel writing program Kamachi.exe?

>Continued writing even with the norovirus.
>Once held a meeting without his manuscript in hand and accurately remembered everything down to the line number because “it’s all in my head”.
>Completed Index Vol. 2 in only 17 days.
>Had almost finished writing Index Vol. 6 before Vol. 5 was released and had the plots complete up to Vol. 9
>Is abnormally fast coming up with his plots for Railgun as well.
>Has worked on writing a novel, coming up with a manga plot, writing an SS to be bundled with an anime, and coming up with an original game scenario all at the same time.
>Completed Heavy Object Vol. 1’s manuscript in only a few weeks after getting the go-ahead on writing it.
>Sent in the manuscript for Heavy Object Vol. 2 a few days after getting the go-ahead.
>Will write the manuscript before a deadline has even been set or will bring the next volume’s manuscript to a meeting discussing the previous volume.
>When asked for an original short story for a magazine project, brought the completed manuscript and a full novel manuscript that did not have a deadline set yet.
>Takes a break from writing by writing something else.

>Always attends the anime script meetings and recording sessions except when sick. Came up with the ideas for every single original episode.

>Always writes an SS novel for the anime. Already has two Dengeki Bunko novels’ worth.

>Has plenty of manuscripts that he ended up rejecting or that had their release delayed. Altogether, it adds up to five Dengeki Bunko novel’s worth.

>At the most, has supervised the serializations of seven manga adaptations at once.

>Wrote the entire main scenario for Million Arthur and supervised the details of all the card characters. Did the same for the sequel.

>When asked for a single short story for a magazine project, brought ten stories in and asked them to choose one.

>Continues to bring in new manuscripts with no set deadline. Keeps doing it even when asked not to.

>Has been releasing novels monthly since the end of 2014, but still has a years’ worth of manuscripts stocked up. (As of October 2015)

>When asked how he can write so much, said, “If I don’t keep writing, I’ll crash. Like an airplane.”

Excellent!

NT16 illustrations still missing?

The best.

>Came up with the ideas for every single original episode

He needed to think harder then. Almost all the Railgun filler is garbage.

Are we sure Kamachi isn't a group of people?

How about focusing on quality over quantity for a change, Kamachi?

What's the typical word count of a light novel? Isn't it laughably small since the publishers use fucking giant size font and it's printed vertical instead of the more character-compact horizontal.

Except the Railgun filler is actually better than most typical series fillers. The problem is, they do fillers when Side Stories should be getting adapted instead.

A Certain Someone is waiting for the high-quality digital copy from the Dengeki website or something. That is my guess.

>Keeps doing it even when asked not to.

Kamachi a best.

Why is he obsessed with imouto characters?

Kamachi is a girl.

he obviously wants to kill several thousand of them

Kamachi.exe writes way too fast to the point js06.exe can't keep up with the translation.

But hey,js06 is still translating! I have a lot of respect with the translator as well.

What's the point when the overall quality of his first work Raildex has decreased a lot? Most of NT of been garbage and Railgun manga has been boring ever since sister arc ended.

>myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1550990
>NT16 falls off the chart. Given that the cutoff was 4,985 for the bunko and the lowest cutoff is 2,931, it sold less than that. Last week was 74,944 so it didn't even reach 80k this week.
Ded

Is Kamachi the Oda of the LN industry?

My disdain for NT would be lessened if the second half of OT would be animated already.

>most of NT been garbage
>tfw you realize most of OT was also garbage
>most of Raildex was garbage
Deep

>>tfw you realize most of OT was also garbage
Bruh.
Keep telling yourself that.

My head hurts. Please get out.

>only 8 out of 22 volumes were actually good

Only someone who started on volume 13/14 would say that.

TRANSLATION WHEN?

Don't forget Durarara crossover as well. I have been waiting for years. But, I glad there is a translation for Blood Sign after like two years.

>js06 is translating Kamachi's works AND Kawakamiverse
Any sane translator probably would have broken long ago.

OT1-13 were all mediocre to average with the only real exceptions being 3 and 13.

Sanity does not apply to machines.

He used to post a versus forum, he has the necesary autism for the work

I wouldn't count on us getting the DRRR crossover in the foreseeable future, since Jsloli seemed to express disinterest in it. At this point, it'd be faster to learn nip yourself.

Hell, we're still waiting on the Virtual-On crossover. For that matter, Killer Queen and Deep End has had raws for ages, and it hasn't been so much as touched.

Fuck off.
Secondary as fuck

How would y'all react if Yen Press suddenly announced licensing of the entire rest of the Kamachi catalog?

The same way I reacted to Index being licensed by Yen Press. Disappointment and panic.

Please no. No more shitty YP please.

I would rage as usual. God, I hate them.

...

>ITT anime only fag

Alright, user.

>covered up Asuna's glorious ZR
Wow. I'm genuinely mad.

I doubt Yen Press will license series that are more of a miss than hit on west.
Too much risk and losses are more than the profits when it comes to this business.

More Zashiki Warashi extra chapters when, he left us with a promise for more Hayabusa chapters.

I really ought to get round to finishing Zashiki Warashi one of these days.

I want another Simple Series volume.

>come up with neat concepts for characters
>use them once then throw them away
Damn you, Kamachi. That satellite girl was proof enough but Sniper-chan is the last straw.

>That satellite girl was proof enough
To be fair, Kamachi at least admitted that he's uncertain on how to use her in a story.

He teased the chance but I hope Librarian-chan and her sister show up some more in Blood Sign. At the very least I'd like a good picture of her to post. Come to think of it Aika doesn't really have a good one with her as the focus either.

He brought Azalea of all people back at the end of Vol. 5.

>Saikyō o Kojiraseta Level Counter Stop Kenseijo Beatrice no Jakuten Sono Na wa "Buu Buu"
This has to be a gag title, right?

It gets hard to tell when Kamachi is just 'avin a giggle sometimes.

Is my eyes deceiving me? Blood Sign has a blonde loli now too? Maybe I should start reading this.

Programs act strange under intense heat.

>now
She's been there since the first volume.

She doesn't show up much, the main and best girl is the White Queen, all of the others are just competing for 2nd place. Hell, the White Queen is so best she's strongly competing for Enbi's spot as true best girl.

>multi-thread drifting

Oh. I wouldn't know since I never payed attention to Blood Sign.

So, what about pic related?

I'll be the judge of that.

Do you really have to identify yourself every time?

That pic is backstory, she's the antagonist of vol3. All of the people in that project they were in that came into contact with the White Queen were distorted. She's actually fairly similar to Kyousuke, just she helps people with revenge instead of salvation.

I post a lot without it, but I don't have much on this device so I end up using the same few pictures after a while. I at least try to keep real conversation and discussion going.

The last Zashiki Warashi volume I read was 4, the one with the causality and timeline twisting bollocks. That was over a year ago though. Will I be able to follow what's going on if I just pick up where I left off or should I just start again from volume 1?

You'll probably understand most of what's going on, but it's not a bad excuse to go back and reread the early volumes if you want to.

As a side note, Zashiki starts becoming like a conventional battle series from ZW4 on.

>more like*

Not him, but WQ is literally the only saving grace from the series. Other girls are written as something cliched(not necessarily bad) but fall off as simpletons typical one time use only Kamachi characters. MC Kyosuke isn't bad but lacks charisma to make the reader be engaged on keep reading.

I actually like him quite a bit since he's an experienced professional. His relationship with the White Queen adds a lot to it as well, especially how quickly he changes when she's involved.

Perhaps, but I'll have to form my own opinion when I have the time to sit down and read Blood Sign.

Volume translations takes priority over random crossovers.

Why do they always fuck the image quality?

I wouldn't be surprised if they do. They seem to always touch projects which already has a decent fan-base because translators translating the novels and those who join in because of them getting an anime. It's annoying to see projects halted because of it when we know it's going to take forever for them to catch up.

>I actually like him quite a bit since he's an experienced professional
I've only finished the first volume, granted, but I feel like Kyousuke's a bit refreshing as a protagonist so far. The schtick about saving girls is played out in Kamachi works, but it's nice that he seems to reject the absurdity around him.

A lot of Kamachi's other male MCs have usual boy motivations when it comes to girls to make them more relatable, which isn't bad, but it almost seems like you see it too often when reading everything.

>Why do they always fuck the image quality?
stop buying from the Kindle store or downloading Kindle rips, image quality fucking is Amazon's fault

Left is Kindle, right is Kobo

It helps that he has a very good reason to not have more perverted motivations like Heivia, Quenser, or Shinobu. One thing you have to give Kamachi credit for is that he does a good job of giving his protagonists variance. It's similar to the other protagonists, but his sheer audacity at times is hilarious.

For reference, my Kobo and/or Google Play Books Yen Press LN rips range in size from 5.7 MB (Durarara v4, the smallest) to 24.4 MB (Asterisk V1, the largest), with the majority ranging between 10 to 15MB.

Meanwhile, Kindle LNs pretty much NEVER exceed 3MB.

The reason behind this is probably Amazon's per-megabyte delivery charges that they skim off every single eBook purchase on their platform, which absolutely fucks with image-heavy books like LNs, which means that publishers end up reducing resolution and reducing JPG quality to keep the filesize low. There is an exception to the delivery charge for ebooks over 10MB in size for Japan only, which is presumably a concession to LNs over there.

Don't forget all the porn lns he translates.

They all definitely have their own nuances, which is good, though I feel like a bunch of them started becoming more homogenized on an exterior level as time went on. Though this makes sense, because a lot of Kamachi's series are presumably aimed at the same target audience.

I think it was more the ideas were good, just bad implementation

>Saten-san
>Cloverfield
>We are the deep dankness

Saten is literally the best thing to happen to this series.

To be fair, if STUDY and its DEEP DARKNESS was played more for laughs I'd have loved it.

Shishunki no Adam is legit one of the hottest things I've read

>One of them is a Mikoto thread and the other has an ANN article linked
>Both are doing fine so far
How could this possibly happen in my Raildex threads?

I'm pretty sure the DEEP DARKNESS stuff was intended as a joke. Sure, STUDY probably actually believed it, but then their plans ended in pathetic failure and Gensei made fun of them just a few episodes later. They were never serious villains, just a bunch of edgy kids.

Just browsing Haimura's blog and I noticed that this honestly is the best design they've come up with recently. NT11-15 are starved for good character designs.

My Spice and Wolf volumes from YP have the Japanese covers.

After the gigantic backlash to the shitty covers they switched to dust jackets, before they just rereleased them with the original japanese ones. The real problem with S&W YP volumes are the inconsistent heights.

Did we ever learn what those three projects that didn't meet the Kamachi10th deadline were?
crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2015/05/06-1/three-more-kamachi-kazuma-projects-to-carry-over-from-10th-anniversary-celebrations

Is that English spice and wolf cover fucking real? Holy shit.

ARRRGGGHHH KANZAKI HELP ME, IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN

KANZAKI ARE YOU SEEING THIS

KANZAKI THIS ISN'T FUNNY

It was really early days for Yen Press, they initially thought they could get the Western YA fiction audience if they gave it a trashy YA teen romance cover, then shortly after figured out that breaking out of the otaku niche would be impossible.

With Haruhi they continued the policy of giving the paperback version a minimalist cover of their own design while making the original cover available for the hardback version.

However from SAO onwards they just stuck with preserving the original cover art and only adapting the logo. Which in the case of SAO meant adding random hexagons and a picture of a sword for some reason.

...

This so goddamn much.

>“If I don’t keep writing, I’ll crash. Like an airplane.”
Not to saying ominous thing, but any Sup Forumsnons know this guy's life story and doesn't think Kamachi's pace might be a bad thing??

KANZAKI ARE YOU SEEING THIS

...

So maybe they'll make Index S3 to reboost the sales?

In a perfect world, yes.

Oh no, instead of the series is making an absurd amount of sales, we're only getting a still high amount of sales. The series is doomed, I tell you. DOOMED!

But seriously, Sup Forumsnon. You're starting to act like Sup Forums and their hateboner for Nintendo here.
