Why aren't you wealthy?

If you aren't maxing out a Roth IRA, taking advantage of matched 401k plans or failing to use an HSA...

YOU ARE NEGRO TIER

You want to change the nation right? Well you can only do that if you have $MONEY$

Get on the ball. Make a budget, pay off (((debt))), use the plethora of tax advantaged options to save up a shit load of cash, maybe buy some assets too while you're at it.

I can't save you. This has to come from within. Stop paying the Jews and start OWNING THEM.

>but I won't live long enough to use my wealth

Sucks, but your parents fucked up. It's time to turn this ship around sailor. If your children don't inherit at least a million dollars from your dead ass then you were a FAILURE.

You might not live to see the fruit of the tree, but you better make good damned sure your offspring can taste it.

>shilling gub retirement plan
Stay poor faggot

Because I'm poorly motivated and I fucked around in college too much. Fuck I should have a degree from fucking Northwestern but I'm a community college dropout now.

Wealth doesn't go with you when you die. I'm going to enjoy things that matter to me.

>paying into the kike money shuffling schemes
Yes goy get me wealthy hehehehe

NIGGER ALERT

NIGGER ALERT

That's somehow worse than graduating community college

>(((Roth)))

Yeah, no

>falling for the financial Jew

lol, don't trust the ways that actually work. Just live it up until you retire... Oops, you won't be retiring. You will be greeting people at Walmart when you're 70 because you put all your cash under your matress in your prime years.

Adding onto the point, becoming rich is as easy as not spending money. Live cheap with any non-minimum wage job and you can build wealth.

Yes. A 50lb bag of rice costs like $25. Beans are a little bit more and Chicken if you want to "splurge". That rice will feed you for a couple months. Rent is cheap, you only get poor if you spend money on shit.

Hell yah bro. I live in Los Angeles and I can make it on $20 a week. I eat like shit tho but is totally possible

A van is cheaper than rent

Depending on what you eat it'll likely take a toll on your health down the road. The road to wealth is more than just simply saving now, the interest now is shit, and inflation will eat all of that and then some.

Those are private retirement structures

>be me
>no bank accounts
>no paypal
>no 401k
>no ira
>get paper check on payday
>cash out check at bank it was drawn

i have $22,000 saved in coffee cans. i am dejewed as much as possible

What is better, Roth or traditional? Because I have about 30000 in a traditional and about 3000 in a Roth. I also have about 170 eth that I bought into at 28$

Cool, i just need a job, do you have a job offer for me?

I believe in honest work, I have my own private business, I have two trustful employees and I have so much gold that I could retire right now. Basically if someone doesn't invent a way to create gold out of thin air I'm in the clear. I don't trust banks or anyone besides myself with my money.

You shills aren't even trying anymore.

>tfw putting 20% of income into Roth 401k
Feels good man

...

Only the matching ones are. You can still get the tax incentives.

Roth. You pay tax on the money going in, but having tax free gains is just so fucking worth it it's not funny.

>gold will be worth something when we start mining stars made of the stuff.

I was but then got fired from my job for smoking weed. Was only able to get 6000 dollary doos in Chinese investments. Now it;s just sitting there earning 6% of some type of interest.

>jews are rich and control everything!

>i can't do that! it's what jews use!

er
you guys should be putting your money in bitcoin...

you should have done it a long time ago. you still should.

oh but let me guess. THIS time is the real bubble where it doesnt come back? right, yeah, i ive heard that one like what, 5 times now?

Also it's a Roth account if that matters.

Well at least you left with something. You can keep contributing to it, or you can withdraw the original contribution at any time. (You can't take out any gainz without a fee)

no grocery store around me accepts it, darn it

That's what I've been wondering is how I can keep paying into it without the company that fired me. I was probably gonna call up the company that manages the account and ask.

Yeah, let's just ignore the fact that BTC value is based on currency values. If the USD crashes so will BTC, guaranteed.

is he retarded or baiting

It's separate from the company.

You're losing $700 a year in inflation...plus risk of theft.

Get a Fidelity.com account and buy their target date retirement index fund. Gain $1000 a year as stock prices go up.

I'm not wealthy because i work at Walmart. I'm too old anyways to turn shit around.

If USD crashes, Bitcoin will truly go interstellar.

user, if you are eligible to contribute to a Roth IRA, you are probably never going to be wealthy

AHAHAHA! Oh that's right. A BTC will be worth $20k, but that will buy you a gallon of milk so have fun.

>I'm not wealthy because i work at Walmart
Are you sure it's not the other way around?

>US currency
>not cryptocurrency
Hope you enjoy getting raped by inflation nigger

I'm not Walmart because I work at wealthy.

>what is an investment account

Because my skills and labor are not worth that much. Maybe more people need to realize this.

Oh, but I am.
Very wealthy.

My wage is nearly double the minimum wage. I have no savings and not a high stakes gambler.

I am counting on making it through the next recession as it has carrier me through the last one. Sadly i lost my overtime so I'm stuck working for free after 40 until the jobs are done.

I've had to come to terms that this is the best I'll ever have it, and just end up dealing with it like i have for the past decade here. Hopefully I can have a cool job like an engineer or something in my next life.

Computers don't ask you for a degree when you open the command console.

Start learning how technology works, the information is all online and free.

if gold will dip to $1,000 oz then i'll sink it all into that

Sink all your money into a chunk of a certain element because...

>people value its color?

>401k thread on Sup Forums
holy fuck the memes are true

soon we'll be having Viagra threads, Diabetes threads, and threads discussing how to hobble to the doctor with mild Alzheimers

Thanks for the info. I have 20% going into Roth now since the option opened and 5 still into my traditional.

i can't wait for that prehistoric piece of shit to correct so I can recover on my alt coins

Sink all your money into a series of digital 1's and 0's because...

>people value its size?

...

40% taxes vs 28% taxes. Hmmm.

Wealth isn't for yourself faggot. It's for the things and people you leave behind.

Uh, how about ZERO taxes on gains.

401k is taxed less than a Roth.
You’re still paying more taxes with a Roth.

You're only paying taxes on the principle. With a traditional you have to pay taxes on the gains at 15%.

Your unsolicited financial advice is very welcome here, I'm sure. I can't wait to register for your "How To Become A Middle Management Douche" presentation at my local La Quinta conference room. Free USB drive or DVD this time? Maybe at the decaf coffee soiree after your monologue I can remind you that if everybody takes advantage of the system then nobody will be able later.

Uh oh, Mr. Moneybags everyone. Give a big round of applause for this winner who just came into our thread.

They are all going to be confiscated. Mark my fucking words.

You're a retard. Gold has many uses in the modern day, electrical components being one. Educate yourself brainlet

Sink all of your (((money))) into a certain country's printed paper because...

>people value its stability?

They value the Government backed by Military force behind it.

I don't even know what any of those words mean, goes to show how I've failed already at life.

Anyone else just working in retail, a failure at life, like how the fuck do we transition out of this shitty wageslave livelihood.

Roth is better when you're a poor shit since you pay taxes on it right now when your tax rate is low. When you get older and get paid more, switch it to a traditional. After that, anything you would pay a higher tax rate on (like 25%), put that into a traditional. Anything before, put it into the Roth.

Its good to have both because when you retire, you can then choose to take some out of the traditional up to say the 15% tax bracket, then any extra you can take out of your Roth. So it works out to you having paid 15% on all of your money, rather than 25% or more on a good chunk of it.

Wealth corrupts

Actually wealthy people don't give a shit about faggots reading and posting on image boards, and will NEVER give advice to random people without it directly providing them a substantial benefit somehow.

This is a shill, and he/she/it does not care about you.

t. I don't give a shit either. I just like pushing shit in to watch it get squeezed out again in some different shape.

They'll leave some crumbs

Can't get an education here, I wont be allowed in schools. Also I can't take risk because there is no financial security here.

...

That's cool. You'd probably have 40k if you'd have been using a 401k or IRA.

But thats fine, you do you, boo boo.

I used to do recordkeeping for 401k plans. One of the accounts we managed was the parent company of McDonalds; I spoke to an assistant manager from McDonalds who was 42 years old. She had more than a million dollars in her 401k account.

The 401k is one of the most powerful investment options out there for new investors; what's more, nearly every company offers a match. If you're NOT taking advantage of that, you're literally leaving money on the table.

Or I can choose to invest the money myself, particularly into real estate and other liquid assets.

You think the jews got rich by giving their money to other jews to manage? Fuck no. They just bought all the real estate they could and later generations reaped the rewards.

Real estate is specifically a non-liquid asset.

Because I spent all of my money on guns and food. You laugh now but you won't be once the civil war starts and your money is worthless.
