The better chart

>Lupin the Third
>Texhnolyze
>Angel's Egg
>obscure

This chart is retarded but by it's definition I'm a 4. It's tier system isn't bad but the anime it lists next to those tiers make no sense.

That's an awful chart OP

>avatar

Why is Monster so low? Plenty of normalfags like it. GitS and Patlabor should be higher up as well

Still shit
I used to watch GX when I was a kid

It baffles me how Nichijou is way higher than Toradora

Wish there was one for manga.

>Kaiji higher than Cowboy Bebop and Death Note
bait/10

3.5, I'm somewhat of a casual now that I notice.

this shit is fucking hillarious, half of the stuff in the lower tiers was on toonami in the nineties, theres no logical order here. Im an anime pleb and somehow ranked as patrish because I've seen tokyo mew mew (a shite program) rop fucking kek

>fate/zero counts are more entry level than UBW

this is bait

deepest i've gone is angel's egg

Tier 5

it's true though

>Hardcore Fetish H Anime
>any Shinbo porn
>Poop is a safe bet
Guess I've been in tier 6 since I was a wee lad.

Don't really care for ranking, but man, I've watched too much anime.

I instantly jump to tier 7 because I watch WW2 Japanese propaganda anime

God whoever designed this is an idiot

Not really.

Yes, really. Just because someone watched more doesn't diminish it. No need to wave your badass epen around. I'm just thinking of stuff I could've done instead. Most of those shows were trash in the end.

>No need to wave your badass epen around
You're the one talking about how much anime you've watched, not me. I just think there's a fuckton of essential shit you didn't watch for you to be saying you've watched too much anime.
>I'm just thinking of stuff I could've done instead
In that case, Sup Forums is not your blog and nothing's stopping you.

>stop discussing on topic things
>I'm the master of anime u need to level up
What a dipshit

Who are you quoting?

Your waifu.

Tier 3, currently trying to push into Tier 4 apparently. Where do I start, Sup Forums?

>Your

Pushing tier 4 but still tier 3-ish. I'm impressed with myself.

fuck me, I meant pushing tier 5. but solidly tier 4

I completed my backlog

Tier 5 with obscure experimental pieces, pre-1960s anime and college projects explored.

just out of this list I've seen 40 more than you, and I still consider myself somewhat casual

I don't know if 40 more like you, but I watched more and feel like I haven't watch anything yet.

This isn't a complete list of anime. You can't compare numbers like that to get something accurate.

Deep 5, because i watched Sweet Mint for some stupid reason.

the chart is ordered like trash, but it could be worse

I sit around a 4-5, but I don't consider myself a connoisseur of obscure anime.

How the hell is The Wind Rises deeper than Lain?

I agree, but you do get the sense of how much a person is willing to go for the obscured and unconventional, by seeing how much a person has completed out of this list, or that's how I look at it anyway.

I'm not as bad as some of you fucks

Literally casual pleb shit taste

This isn't really that accurate, it's more of just a list of genres and demographics. I've seen PreCure and some stuff below it, but I haven't seen things like death note, inuyasha, rurouni kenshin, basically all the mainstream stuff besides Dragon Ball/Z and Naruto.

Most of the stuff I've seen, on that list anyway, is around levels 3-5

And who the hell hasn't seen some unofficial animations by an animator they really like?

>Cowboy Bebop isn't in Intro or Level 1
Cowboy Bebop is probably the most well known "intro to anime" anime ever made. Not only is its dub acceptable, but it's also fairly normal SciFi. It's also a good show on its own right.

Original chart.

The "obscurity" levels of both of these are seriously questionable at best.

I dont understand how some of those are in tier 4

a bunch were aots like tiger and bunny and aku no hana

I have actually seen doujin anime, and if imperial japanese war propaganda counts, I've seen pre-1960s anime.
I really have sunk pretty far.
If we go even deeper, I have seen various animated works from art competitions for college students.
WAKE ME UP INSIDE!

I dont get why EoE is so low compared to NGE

...

Huh, my spread is pretty evenly distributed, probably because I watch too much /m/ material.

All doing this did is remind me how big my backlog is, and how embarrassing it is that I haven't seen My Neighbor Totoro.

>he doesn't get WIDEEEE

youtube.com/watch?v=duWTfl4MJ1c

5 centimeters per second is listed on there twice.

6 I guess, all I consume now is amateur work

>Yuyu Hakusho is higher up than Sword Ass online
How do you even fuck up that badly?

>chart
>Sup Forums

Charts like these are only for lonely faggots who need validation for what they enjoy. In short: Yur a pussie

Tier 3 honestly. I'm comfy there.

Seems I fall somewhere around level 4, maybe a bit lower.

>Space Dandy that low
>implying Planetes makes me hardcore

Why are Evangelion and End of Evangelion on separate tiers? Anybody who watches Evangelion goes on to watch End of Evangelion.

red is complete
yellow is incomplete

>I dont get why EoE is so low compared to NGE

It's definitely less accessible and shocking to normies than NGE, but I can't really say it's obscure- simply because NGE viewers inevitably end up watching EoE.

More shocking to normies, I mean to say.

Something being shocking doesn't affect accessibility though. Electricity is probably the most shocking thing I can think of, and everyone I know uses it.

Yes, but unless you go into edgy tryhard territory (which I think EoE just manages to avoid) "shocking" typically is perceived as "deep" at least to laymen and noobs.

>Electricity is probably the most shocking thing I can think of, and everyone I know uses it.
now that's some lateral thinking

Tier 6 because oldfag.

...

No chart you find on Sup Forums is ever right.

Border of Tier 5 and 6

Can't argue with that

start watching the rest of tier 1 and 2

You shouldn't tell anyone over the age of twelve to do that user.

>90's shows you've never seen anyone mention
>pre-90's shows you've never seen anyone mention

A lot of the shit I watched growing up I haven't seen anyone mention in decades. I used to love this shit. Masakazu Katsura was my hero. I have all the manga of Video Girl Ai, DNA2, I"s.

But now no one remembers.

I wont forget, though. Someone has to keep the memory of my waifu alive. Ai is love.

What tier would the entire Legend of the Galactic Heroes series be?

If "obscure experimental pieces" include a critically acclaimed independent film by an accomplished animator and an unsuccessful but praised commercial film, it doesn't take much to get to that point.

I guess I'm below the bottom, since I've seen some 1920s shorts and independent animation that aren't available on DVD/BD/Internet.

code geass rip off tier

I think your right

Also the description for tier 6 is so retarded it hurts

They're not really about obscurity levels, they're about the simple fact that as you get older, more mature, and get a couple of thousand series under your belt, your tastes change.
In the first decade of your anime career, you develop a taste for Mature and Sophisticated, and Objectively Good anime.
In the second decade you get sick of all that, and decide fun things are fun. You find your tastes run to what you used to disdain as moeshit, pedoshit, cgdct, T&A, SOL's and tasteless comedy. You become a crass, dirty old Ojisan-type guy. No exceptions.

Absolute shit, kill yourselves.

that's pretty bad, someone ought to make a better version of it

It's true, Fate/Zero is far more recommended and objectively superior than UBW

Touhou: memories of phanthasm is a doujin anime and is huge popular

>half of Italy is tier 5 because they watched Lupin III and/or Grandizer

But it's true
