N1 takes minimum 2.5 years to attain. People really shouldn't underestimate it.

I guess. To be honest I mostly observe and sometimes answer questions about language or translations. I'd say that in the last few months the number of people asking such questions ITT got lower.

N1 still means something, that does not mean that you became as good as a Japanese person but you can really enjoy a wide variety of content without having difficulty.
