Didn't she get reduced to a side character though? I thought that the author would at least consider making Misaka the main girl seeing as it's pretty unprecedented how much more popular she is than the other characters.

Don't ever ask this pathetic fan base what they think about Mikoto and base your opinion on that. I'll tell you right now almost everybody in these threads are jealous of Mikoto and that's the reason half of what's said about her is said. I'm literally going to be one of the few people you can trust in these modern Railgun threads. Mikoto is the golden girl of this series and third ranked esper in Acadamy City and has beauty and brains to match and can play the violin. She's friends with all the best girls in the series and most people hate her because they basically don't think she has enough power so they dropped her for a magical slut named Othinus but now she's basically a pathetic loser and they don't want to admit they were wrong so they just let their anger out on Mikoto and her character.

This is her best friend Kuroko. If you thought Mikoto has a lot of jealous haters you'd better watch out for this girl because she brings them in like crazy. I don't know if it's because of how cute she is or the fact that she sells the second most merchandise in the series or the fact that's she's literally Mikoto's closest friend but people are very envious of her.

If you just started you probably won't know who this is but be careful because she'll literally steal your heart and she won't give it back. I tried to resist it but I couldn't help how cute she was. I hardly ever bring her up in these sad thread because this fanbase is corrupt and ruined but she's easily one of the best girls in anime and you're going to absolutely love her. You've just got to ignore the haters and believe your heart. This character literally gave me hope in anime again when I was getting tired of it all.
