I'm Never Remembering You, Baby!

or the one with the race

A world without sadness or the loli episode, I can't choose between them.

the little girl episode

The one with the dog

The plants.
Little plant girl saying ningen a last time before she lost intelligence really touched my heart.

Also, it was trippy as heck.

...

The one with the loli that turns dandy into a prinny.

This, also the one about fishing, the one with multiple versions of the crew and the one directed by Masaaki Yuasa

No contest.

The ramen episode

This. That was the best episode so far

This. God bless Watanabe for knowing the best way to parody all the beats of a high school musical and then making the final number about booty.

There isn't enough porn of Pine-Pine and that is a goddamn travesty.

Heh. That little bones-logo.

Why is this anime disliked on Sup Forums?

It's not. It's not being discussed anymore because there is no more new content to be talked about.
Trying to make a thread constantly for an anime with no more new content is a seriously dumb thing to do, and very much disliked here on a board which already does have to deal with dumb threads of anime shows with absolutely no new content at all.

The occasional Dandy-thread is always fine.

Fish planet because I love Yuasa's style. Alternate universe dandy was the funniest episode and dead Dandy was the most interesting episode. Special mention to imposter episode for the amount of memes it had.

Because while it's fun with some very good episodes, it has more bad to middling episodes. Zombie episode is literally one joke going on for the last 15 minutes.

I don't think Dandy is hated by the majority, but people who think it's anything super noteworthy are retarded. Normies think it's amazing when it's got tons of issues.

It gets points for having a good dub tho.

>normies
Can you just go back to /r9k/?

Fine. Normalfags, happy now?

because it aired on Toonami first

It is?

Not him, but absolutely.

...

The one where they road the wave, or caught the big ass fish

My nigga

This one. The soundtrack for it was really out there too. It felt like one of the most truly alien planets and plots in the series, really cool.

Other than the obvious dead planet one, episode 6 is my favorite because it was absolutely boring as fuck, but then the whole surfing sequence with Hoshikuzu no Pipeline playing in the background happened.

...

I dislike it because it has no substance.
The only people who can enjoy shows wit hno substance are the manime mouthbreathers that love ttgl, kill la kill, opm and jojo.

Did he fucked the planet?

The same can be said for solfags who have nothing in their lives so they watch highschool girls do jackshit.
>non anime image
What a suprise.

Either qt loli episode, the plant world one or the one with the fish, dem animations mane.

I would love to see those in proper HD.

Those gorgeous colours.

its just a comedy senpai
some people like comedy

It's not funny.

Yes, the same can be said of solfags. Both are equally cancerous.

This.

so sad...

What do you rate as good anime?

Ping pong, Shin Sekai Yori, Kemonozume, Eva, Lain, Berserk, Samurai Champloo, Death Note was fun, FLCL, Paranoia Agent, The first ovas from kenshin, NHK which is actually funny, etc etc.
Shows that have enough substance to keep you entertained.

Well, I was innitially interested in it because of the series director and the announced format of there being BOTH different ADs and episode directors for every episode. I assumed this meant they'd all be competing for bragging rights and that every episode would be amazing. Going into it with those high expectations I was not disappointed and could not wait to watch it again every week. I struggle to chose a favorite episode because right now I can remember off the tpo of my head without looking at a list of episodes that the death episode, the giant fish episode, the plant episode, both the first and last episodes, the one where QT chases after that robot girl, the one where Meow chases after that gay girl, the one with the shapeshifting alien, and the high school musical parody were amazing. Actually so was the Scarlett x Dandy episode and the first episode of the second season where they did all those dandys. This sers was seriously dandy as fuck. Amazing animation, direction, and episodic storytelling almost entirely across the board for me. I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple others of my favorite episode. It's all one episode baby. ust like it was one season.

Planet of the Dead.

There's also this one Not exactly. Honestly, in my opinion SD may not look impressive in the eyes of your average weaboo because of it's quite inconsistent story and non clichè character list. Frankly I understand why some people may dislike it, but for me, with such strongly defined yet non strictly unidimensional main cast, it's easier to put them in different contexts ranging from "typical", common, bland stories to "weird ass" concepts. But on my personal case, what usually strikes me the most and what's always carved deep in my memory is the visual aesthetics the series use which can be pretty diverse.

Remember this isn't the story about "Dandy sitting on his ship all the fucking day doing nothing then hanging out at Boobies" (even though its implied but not given much importance because although it's a trait for character building, it's mostly irrelevant to the main plot of most if not all episodes), it's pretty much "Dandy doing what space adventurers do in retrofuturistic universes", so as long as the episodes keep a tiny hint of anything from the previous episodes or at least references the first one (be it drawing style, color palettes, certain places, or more specific and important things like dandy's clothes, Meow's usual behavior or QT's shape) the whole show will make sense and will remain consistent.

Helps it that even in the blandest of episodes there's always something about the music or the visuals that makes it at least enjoyable, in the worst of the cases.

TL;DR: The show is good for (me).

episode 5, i missed her

Aired on toonami but very unique for a commercial anime. It's a show mostly unhinged by commercial obligations, where the animation exists for the sake of animation rather than as service to the story making it the purest form of artistic expression. It's a showcase of the individual talents in the industry, the narrative is secondary.

I have still only seen it once, on Cartoon Network for half a year. Don't have any screenshots of it or any solid release to share with others. Should I go for the 1080p that's going to take forever because it's not just big but poorly seeded? Or do I go with the 720? Anyone have experience with these already or know if one release looks better than another?

I think a lot of anime is only made in 720p then upscaled. So get that.

...

>Lain
>Deathnote was fun
>NHK

wew

That one episode where they went to Boobies.

You know which one I'm talkin' about.

please explain

The soundtrack of this anime is simply bellissimo

Why is there no BD batch for s2, even after all this time?

A world without sadness, baby.

Did you just unpack your "muh substance" starter pack?

>I just started watching anime last week starter pack

...

Please stop exposing me.

Try watching Dandy again in a few years when you've seen more and I guarantee you'll see what it's going for.

Noodle

They are great shows, death notes second half is pretty weak though.
If you didn't like nhk then you probably have the shittiest of tastes.

I've probably watched anime for far longer than you have, also:

I forgot I had to add shit shows nobody watches (because they are shit) in my list for bonus obscurity.

Yeah, no. The list I made in a couple of seconds isn't even all entry level and the shows are good, that is the reason why these shows also enjoy some popularity.
Name a single obscure show better than eva. Yeah, I didn't think you could without looking like the most distasteful fuckwit on Sup Forums.

More like
>try watching dandy once you've been consuming lots of shitty anime for a long time, that way it won't look as shitty.

Honestly, how can you guys feel proud of having like 500 shitty anime in your MAL accounts when obviously the best ones are on the lines of the ones I posted. The obscure shit you guys like is shit.

>n-no you're the one who is shit
Wow you sure convinced me.

bump

user you cutie

Need more people like you here, honestly.

>adult swim

the boobies hmanga is great

Yellow Line

limbo or ayy lmao loli

Good try guys, but I've got the best episode right here.

It was dancetastic.

>tfw we'll never get the full version of this insert song

I love a lot of Dandy episodes, but this one stands out for just such beautiful atmosphere.

the space race episode.

Just because it needs the sound.
a.pomf.cat/tzkomw.webm

live watching space dandy was the last time i felt close to Sup Forums.

Nailed it.
I dare say it may be the finest single episode of an anime ever produced.
Plant planet is a close second. Also that I'm gay scene destroyed my sides for a solid 5 minutes. I had to pause the rest of it so I could try to breathe.

>we are all skeleton on the inside

Season 3 ever? ;(

drive.google.com/file/d/0B9hOWk9OglDBSHNjdzNqNDlRdDQ/view

all of them. movie when?

...

...

I think I should rewatch it, I only remember like half of the episodes

Best dandy episode was the one with the QT scarlet and dandy dating episode. I forgot if the ending was them being so close only to be distracted and separated by a train. Fuck man that episode was really good.

...

...

Got the Jap version saved?

There will never be a more comfy anime episode

...

WHY? ;_;

Dandy's continuously changing art style is great.

It really made it fresh each time.

have any other shows been like dandy s2, where they just let guest talent with unique styles go wild, all while staying coherent? collaborations like that usually turn out to be a disaster

>Go wild

No. The only thing I can think of is when a series such as One Piece has guests come in to detail an important fight scene.

>the one where QT chases after that robot girl

They're all pretty great, but that one holds a special place in my heart.

soundcloud.com/user621008830/i-should-be-space-dandy-ost

Dandy was easily set up for season 3. Shame it will probably never happen.

The one with the highschool setting and that song about asses

All of them. Every single one is the best.

the 5th
the song in it is so fucking good

Easy Game
Too Easy Game

>All those discussions about the credits revealing Dandy's secret
