All the girls in Guilty Crown were handled even worse than Code Geass

I liked the characters in Kabaneri more, but GC was the more entertaining anime.

Moneymaker and Propaganda Agent for Gai -> Spending time with Shoe shows her what being human actually means -> Stops obeying Gai -> Ends up absorbing Mana partly -> Gai dies -> Entire arc about her trying to find her own identity with Mana taking over a few times -> Accepting who she is -> Gets captured by awoken Gai -> Saves Shoe -> Dies

Both anime could have done it a lot better but Inori wins the battle here.

Kabaneri was garbage. Now that I see both being compared, it means guilty crown is garbage too. Even gate was garbage. I can't believe anime is so shit NOW.

It least it only lasted for only 6 more episodes instead of 10 once it went beyond the point of no return as an absolute trainwreck.

Kabaneri was alright. Just got too stereotypical with Biba, but the ending wasn't a kick in the balls. It felt okay.

She has been working for Biba practically all her life. It wouldn't make sense for her to immediately be against Biba without irrefutable evidence. It was a very generic arc, but it happened.

It was more extreme with Inori.

Gai never treated her like a human being. She was just a tool a for him. Biba was a ''brother'' for Mumei.

I just absolutely hated the villain and his pretentiousness.
Both shows had one after a certain point.

But you're right, at least Kabaneri didn't get all angsty towards the end and didn't have a deus ex machine from the shittiest girl in the show.

Usually i only adore 1-3 tracks out of each Sawano OST but GC was a whole level better

But the thing is their styles are so distinctive vs more standard OST composers that they would get attention based on that. A lot of other OSTs don't stand out at all even if they do occur in popular series.

Biba was a huge mistake

I like his instrumental stuff but the lyrics are usually a detriment for me.

There are some great songs in the Xenoblade X soundtrack like Sylvalum for example, but also some very very shitty ones.
A vocal one I liked was the flying theme, but the main battle theme, the NLA themes didn't work for me.

I enjoyed Kabaneri more simply because the main character wasn't a beta generic looking high school boy. Even though Mumei's character fell flat, I thought the series was an enjoyable ride.

Kabaneri was just a plain disappointement with a predictable and boring development.
GC was a ridiculous trainwreck and a blast to follow with Sup Forums.

I think the intent was that he had little other choice and so hardened himself up since he knew they were all going to die if he didn't work them toward the goal of breaking the quarantine and he even later broke down over it
