What I don't understand is that the Precure ED dancing is some of the best "we're trying to emulate the look of 2D" 3D that exists, and everyone else is so far, far behind them
It doesn't make sense that there'd be one place where its done super pro level and everyone else looks like a chump. Especially when Toei is producing! Those guys aren't known for being fancy!

It's a bit like how it felt when coloring went digital in the early 2000s. We're finally seeing improvements, so maybe it'll be the same. The big challenge will be to move things off-model when needed for emphasis/effect.
