I've kinda dropped out of the internet for some months now because my anime/videogame backlog started to become larger than my dick but now I'm back and the hell is this?
A new Nanoha anime season? Is it going to be shit and why is the answer "yes"? Who's that in the cover? Can't be Nanoha, Nanoha isn't green and she doesn't resemble Vivio much either. Is it some Vivid slut? When does it start airing? Will it finally make that StrikerS trash non-canon? Or at least Force?
Nicholas Kelly
Most of those questions can be answered by watching the PV.
Ethan Robinson
Well, you weren't wrong. >looks like shit (no surprises there) >cover chick is a literally who, probably an edgy retread of subaru's stupid ass >fucking vivio and her butt buddy are in it, StrikerS is still goddamn canon
Levi Jenkins
At least it's going back to anime original, instead of the terrible adaptation that we got for Vivio's series.
Lincoln Perry
Oh and also, >Nanoha literally nowhere >she'll probably be in the background scratching her ass again Bah.
I guess I can't complain too much about this since they aren't calling it "Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha [subtitle]" this time, but still.
David Peterson
This looks great though. PV shows it's about a little girl playing Batman.
Michael White
I'll still give it a chance since it COULD be good. It already fucked up some things (in my opinion) but it could totally make up for it by not having a shit plot like StrikerS and not being boring like Vivid.
The main girl is cute, now that I give her a look, and there don't seem to be any guys around so it has at least that going on for now.
Sebastian Young
StrikerS didn't have a shitty plot, it was a fun little Clancy-esque military slice-of-life/conspiracy thriller with a strong family theme. It had a little too much fat on the bones to fill out its bloated runtime, but that didn't make it shitty.
Vivid WAS boring though.
Nicholas Bell
>Larger than my dick Setting the bar low from the start, huh?
John Evans
>StrikerS didn't have a shitty plot
>literally nothing happens until episode 11 >you can't even tell what the hell is going on even when things ARE happening because there's a brazillion characters introduced one after another, and they just keep coming and you lose track of who is who >hey, we gave this guy a name, you should probably remember him (cue him appearing once later on to do nothing and then never appear again) >erio has no bearing on anything and the effort taken to write him in should have been used to proofread the script >caro, too >what's a hayate? i dunno, here's ANOTHER new character, yeah! >let's retcon the FUCK out of Fate because uuuuuhhhhhhhhhhh >muh religious undertones, we /deep/ now >wait wasn't this a story about subaru's team? ah, who cares
Chase Phillips
It's Vivid StrikerS and Nanoha no longer exists.
Leo Sullivan
>What the FUCK is this?
ViVid as it should have been. But they went over the line and actually made a different heroine when it should have been Vivio.
Xavier Jackson
they're trying to erase nanoha and feito from their own franchise
you have to wonder if that helped bum Yukarin out worse.
Oliver Gray
I just downloaded the first season of Nanoha, hope I like it.
David Parker
Soon Yukarin will be a regular in Symphogear!
Jack Martinez
While I do want this, a part of me doesn't since that would signal Nanoha is REALLY DEAD.
Grayson Clark
>>let's retcon the FUCK out of Fate because uuuuuhhhhhhhhhhh What retcons? Nothing in StrikerS contradicts what we learn in the original series.
Gavin Ortiz
Watch the Movie 1st instead, season one has a very bad start and other problems that got solved by the movie.
Mason Green
>Story >Two girls lived in an orphanage, Fuuka and Rinne. >While they were poor, they spent their time looking towards to a bright future together as childhood friends and as sisters. >However, their fates began to change after their "second separation"ー
>Fuuka Reventon >Profile: Freeter >Style: ??? >Came from an orphanage. >Right now, she has left the orphanage and is living at her part-time work place. >A serious and honest person, however, after the sad separation with her childhood friend, Rinne, she's been growing wild, spending her days fighting with delinquents.
>Rinne >Growing up in an orphanage >Fuuka's childhood friend. They were raised together just like sisters. >Has a quite and gentle personality. To Fuuka, she was the most important existence but...
Jaxson Green
Not that non, but was still more fun that vivid shitty old story plot.
Angel Murphy
I don't really mind and I can always watch it afterwords.
William Thomas
Episode 3 (IIRC) also made Nanoha out to be a Higuarshi grade psycho who used unreasonable force against her students until the DVDs cleared up her face.
Cooper Howard
It's not like StrikerS because there isn't a timeskip. The lolis from Vivid are still lolis, but this time Vivio isn't the main character. Vivid Strikes seems like it's going back to A's root of darker tone plot, so I'm pretty excited for this.
Joshua Anderson
>build great universe with cool concepts >use if for shitty lolicon-pandering tournament anime FUCK YOU JAPAN!!
Julian Rogers
Wait, what happened to vivid's sequel? weren't they in the middle of a tournament?
Dominic Fisher
There's actually a short half to 1 year timeskip, though. Vivio is now in 5th grade, and Einhart is a 2nd year. They, along with Miura, are also said to have participated in a U15 tournament which hasn't happened in Vivid yet. I doubt that anything dark will really happen. Fuuka will probably be dragged into participating in tournaments within the first 3 episodes.
Dylan Mitchell
>Is it going to be shit and why is the answer "yes"? Simple. No Yukarin
Eli Ross
The visuals don't look that great but I'm glad they're introducing a new main character and by extension changing the plot focus. Vivid's story was absolutely atrocious but the magic fighting schoolgirls setting was workable.
