How did they pull it off?

How could they so decisively bring absolute despair and pervert this series? The ending, the entire thing, was a masterpiece. Then they destroyed it for no discernible reason.

The cashcow wasn't gonna milk itself, m8

Urobuchi wanted to cut the last few minutes. Executive decision to add more content. But on the bright side that means it's ripe to become a trilogy and finish the cycle.

>rebellion
>bad

0/8 i took the b8

The ending was fine. Homura makes a final selfish wish to end Madokas selfless wish.

Urobutcher wasn't even planning to do a sequel, it was pressure from $hinbo and Jewniplex

Madoka Magica was perfect as is. They should've let it remain as God had intended it. I do suppose that's kind of the "meta-narrative" here. They just had to fuck with it, and they ruined everything.

It's rather ironic, Madoka's wish brought misery to Homura but happiness to everyone else. Homura's wish, which was very much to protect Madoka from the Incubators and their machinations, made everyone happy but brought herself seemingly eternal misery. All I want to do is make her happy.

>tfw there's no way to ever make everyone happy.

If you read Wraith Arc, you'll see why Homura dindu nuffin.

more like madoka fagica

But the Wraith arc has been a little strange on the characters.

...

It's a great installment but terrible as a conclusion. Hopefully they manage to conclude it well in the sequel.

Blame Aniplex. The jews can't leave franchises end respectfully. They have to milk them dry. Just look at the flop that is Kizu P2.

three years later this film still sails miles over the fan's heads

Homura did nothing wrong.

They ruined nothing holy fuck. Rebellion was amazing through and through.

None of you can explain what exactly Homura did wrong. She created a magical Matrix and everyone in it gets to live happily ever after. What's wrong with this?

>What's wrong with this?
Watch Matrix 1, 2, and 3.

She's not stealing everyone's life force or anything like that though. She created an artificial utopia which envelopes the universe. What's the downside?

>Everyone is happy

Madoka isn't.

She is. She'd only be unhappy if she remembers being a god.

Aniplex wants to milk it more

She knows something is wrong. That's literally the last scene.

...

The mangas aren't canon, friendo.

ignorance is bliss, i guess.

When are we getting new madoka?

Series about crazy dykes deserves crazy dyke ending

fuck off

>that outfit on madoka
That's cute as fuck

Rebellion so meta. Fanfic shipping with fanfic and pixiv's most popular ships for literally half of it, characters magically come back to life. How does it work? By taking the original ending and ripping it in half. Again, literally.

Homura is the audience.

I honestly didn't think about it that way but it actually fits really well. Homura becomes more and more dissatisfied with the happy stakeless dream world where everyone fights together, like the fans demanding further story. As she is about to receive a happy ending and closure presumably to the series, she gets up and rips it apart out of "love", the fans love for the series made her do it, to keep it going.

we still need movie 4 it isnt over yet

The wraith manga is an official adaptation of what happened between the last episode of the series and the beginning of Rebellion. As much as you dislike it, the facts are the facts

Heay, Sup Forumsnons, someone knows something about the new Madoka series/movie/wathever that is in production? Any news so far?

The ending was fine. The movie itself was fucking gorgeous and the pacing was almost as good as the show's.

goodmovie/10

The mangas aren't canon, friendo.
Facts are facts.

Whay's wrong with it is literally the same as Rebellion.
