German Economy

Why is the Germany economy so successful, despite being heavily regulated? Is it just the result of strong cultural values?

It's the result of German work ethics combined with low wages.

The UK buys their cars.
That's it.
Looking forward to Brexit.

A big chunk of our economy is in small and medium-sized enterprises focusing on highly specialised, highly advanced and custom-tailored products and services with the goal to dominate their very small niche on a global level. Often they're also family businesses and run with the care of a family business and those sort of companies have proven to be extremely resilient and succesful.
That's why Germany has such great exports, for many years having been the world leader in exports, despite having comparatively few megacorporations.

Also I don't think our economy is particularly heavily regulated.

The Hartz IV reforms, a culture of fiscal orthodoxy, and surplus trading.

It also helps when you have a very strong influence on the valuation of an international currency you just so happen to use when selling your advanced machinery on the international markets.

Stupid Kraut, it's not just because "muh better engineering", it's also because you guys like keeping shit countries like Greece in the EU to balance out the top performers that boost the Euro's value.

When you make quality goods and can sell them much cheaper than the same quality good made somewhere else, you're going to be the one people buy from.

This,desu.

you guys work like 3 hours 4 days a week

Someone got brainwashed by german propaganda :]

They are so huge economy for one simple reason, EU was cool and everyone was benefiting until one day (around year 2000) german elited decided "fck this, we will do KANGZ things once again" and they started manipulating EU in a way that would make them benefit the most.
They were killing any kind of enterprise in other EU countries, and make sure that no new competition pop up in this countries. But after some time they decided its still not enough for them, so they started manipulating euro currency in a way that only german economy would benefit from it. Just below the inflation level etc. Southern european countries like greece needed cheaper euro to be able to compete with for example germany etc etc.
This way they were draining all the wealth from other eu countries.

Now we are in situation where German economy is exacly the same thing what Russian economy is. Both of them need to export things to survive. German Export makes 50% of their GDP and is still rising. The bad part is that in order to sustain this, other countries have to have money to keep buying german things. So Germans keep forcing unwanted loans to countries like Greece that went bancrupt 4 times already, and Greeks are happy because instead of eating grass and paper they can keep on buying german things for money that they dont intend to return ever.

>Southern european countries like greece

Found the Greek. Your country is and will always be a failure. All that changes is who you blame.

Smaller countries can't devalue their currency to compete with Germany because they fell for the Euro meme

Eastern and Southern European slave labour due to ruined economies

Wages are shit tier compared to other developed nations

Their economy was shit with 10% unemployment until like 2005, in 2007 southern Europe goes to shit, Germany has been benefiting ever since, coincidence?

The eternal hun continues to wage economic war across Europe

Because they're the only Western economy that actual has a manufacturing sector worth mentioning. Unlike the rest of us, Germans still make shit. We used to make shit in Britain too, before Thatcher turned us completely into a (((service economy))).

This. It's our exact contrary; we have talents too but we have such a shitty work ethics that reflects in our government that we, ourselves, are our worst enemy to our own economy.

Except it's literally muh better engineering. These companies don't compete with price points, but with quality.
And the export stength or Germany long proceeded the Euro.

Work ethic
High iq
Big. Dicks

because it used EU to force their bullshit products on other countries and kill all competition

Why do you know something I don’t? Are you jewish?

Remember that EU was set up by France to subdue Germany's economy.
Germans just turned that weapon against them.

i am not greek, you are missing basic knowledge.
If you are smart boy listen to some american think tank, for example stratfor. here is an example =>

youtube.com/watch?v=QeLu_yyz3tc

Here is good example of British point of view on why they want brexit

youtube.com/watch?v=oAq1q1_swyM

You need to understand that Germany is dismantling any industry in other eu countries. They left only some low tech industries so they would outsource and gain on cheaper workforce.

One of the fun examples of abusing EU was with helping national airlines with gov money.

France did this = it was ok
Germany did this = it was ok
Country X did this = EU ordered them to return money

i wont reveal what is country X because you must be smart boy and start thinking for yourself not just watch german tv

Because they exchanged their lives for good income.
I went there a couple of times, first i was impressed, but the close i watched Germans and how emotionally repressed they are, i felt sad for them. hot chicks though.

While he may be part of a shit country, his point is still *somewhat* sound. Germany truly is manipulating the valuation of the Euro in order to have a perfect storm of cheap, high quality goods being produced by Germans sold on the international market. They have also been known to cheat in recent years. Remember the Gas Emissions tests that were cheated by all German car manufacturers? I do. (That's not to say others aren't manipulating laws to circumvent the same loopholes Europeans have to jump through, but sucks to live in Big Brotherville).

Germany is exploiting their very commanding presence in the European Parliament to reap personal benefits seldom other member nations see as well.

Finally, an Italian that admits people in Italy are fucking lazy. I've been called racist so many fucking times telling the story of a train station having 1/8 of the tellers open during busy hours.

This is all public knowledge, however the fact that the actual public doesn't know about it display another aspect of these enterprises - their customers are companies, not consumers.

But you never wondered why Germany has such strong exports despite having about as much or even less megacorps than everyone else?

American Gib me dats in exchage for accepting Major American Military presence + a heritage of low IQ working machines who were programmed by Hitler + Low wage immigrants.

To reach the same price-point companies have to shave off precision built machinery, you dumb fucking kraut.

Now they are trying to create this "2 speed EU" or whatever they call it. They will put all this 4-5 countries into it because if one of this top countries would go bancrupt, other 4 would turn into 3rd world country overnight.

That's just how shit works in Southern Europe. I wouldn't call it laziness, per se. They just have a slower, more relaxed pace of life than we do in the North. I think the climate has a lot to do with it.

Yeah sure I suppose companies that have dominated their niche for 60+ years all own their success to the cheap Euro.
You guys are pretty silly.

Hey there, Could you show me the road to Sweden please ?

>American Gib me dats
Allied nations received more money from marshall plan than germany

Hey you guys make cool stuff anyway

To stay in business and have no real competition points to the fact that you've so severely out-paced all competition they had to give up as their final hand was a losing one. Jesus Christ, you are so fucking dense.

"Because we were a business before, we're still a business 60 years in the future because of the past."

You gained more connections since then, you've seen companies merge, dissolve, re-consolidate, start, etc. You've continued to sell to emerging markets and destroyed local business where you expanded to. You've found a way to be a Wal-Mart of high-tech machinery and equipment, where competitor nations have a hard time selling to their own people because your materials come cheaper, ship cheaper, and are the same or better quality.

Keep your bullshit theories to yourself. You're peddling bullshit to idiots.

this
germans produce things that go into the thing that goes into the thing

Don't they try to mainly regulate towards maximum competition, on paper at least?

Unironic good post.

This, Northern Europe won't pay for your pensions forever, Grease.

When something needs doing and you decide you'll get to it in 5 hours after you finish playing your video game, what would you qualify it as?

> create a union
> create a currency shared with shit-tier countries like greece and italy
> Germany's mark would cost a lot if it weren't for the euro
> Yet thanks to the shared euro, the german products are heavily undervalued

Germany pushed the euro because it would ensure that they could export their products while keeping their currency relatively cheap.

German Gen X and Y are, impressive, elders though, can't say the same about them, Also, I liked the Brotchen a lot

Europe's strongest economy is probably the Netherlands btw

He's not a greek, he's a buttblasted poleshit.

>Remember that EU was set up by France to subdue Germany's economy.
Germans just turned that weapon against them.

The only time the French fail to disappoint is when they're disappointing.

Because they're a big country, they were endowed with wealth since, Idk, probably contacts with Rome, they have a good sense of hierarchy and cooperation, and european rationalism made them use resources efficiently. Western countries developed through cartels and monopolies

The West had very good basis for their economic success since its inception. In the case of Germany, if you wanted to create an economic superpower, what you had to do was just to make tariff deals with other german states in the 1st half of 19. century like Prussia did, which unified its potential, and then with country-wide effort create several cartels and boom. Not to mention good engineering ofc

Recently there was an article in Spiegel or somewhere, about an auto-cartel in Germany

I have no problem with saying those companies deliver better products at cheaper prices, obviously otherwise they wouldn't stay in business. I have an issue with the implication that this is due to some sinister plan by the Eurocrats. Which is easily disproven by the fact that like I said, german export strength long preceeds any Euro. Those companies arrived at their quality and price points through hard work and innovation in their fields. Not to paint a perfect fairytale picture, I'm sure there were shady speedbumps along the way for some, but as a general rule that is how the current success came to be.

Then answer me this. Why exactly do you not sell using your own national currency on the international market when dealing with countries outside the EU?

high quality products & modern MARKETING
that`s too complicated for a nigger to understand

Its not just about euro currency, there are multiple ways Germans used. One of them was imposing retarded quotas on for example milk. Poland was baned from producing enough milk for Polish market so we had to start buying it from the west. The similar thing happened to hungarian sugar.

When it comes to for example National Airlines, or Shipyards it was more like, it was tough time in whole europe in this branches, so French Gov gave money to their national airlines = it was cool with eu, Germany did the same = cool with eu, when Poland did this, the screeching began, eu ordered airlines to return the money.

This way they killed Polish shipyards when they started bringing profit.

This way they dismantled British airplane industry and car industry.

Now VW is trying to close Skoda factory in Czech republic to curb the competition.

Who permited you to talk hohol, know your place.

Because it would be incredbily inefficient when the Euro is the de facto currency of Germany?

On a site note, I'm not denying that the Euro has helped Germany and I absolutely agree that a monetary union between countries with vastly different economic strategies was a mistake to begin with.

You mirin Goy? Look at us,we are the manipulating jew now.

You don't know what you are talking about.
Google companies like:
Putzmeister
Zeiss
Schenck process
Beckhoff
Schunk
Otto Bock

You probably never heard of them, yet they are world market leaders.

it isn't complacent.

No, the reason is by only relying on your own nation's GDP to influence the valuation of your national currency, you would be selling your products at a much steeper price than with the Euro thanks to the P.I.G.S of Europe.

Don't fool yourself.

Germany may have started off the 20th century with a great backbone of ingenuity and hard work, but now it's fueled purely off the fact that no one can compete any longer.

=============================

Is it possible that if EU didnt protect German industry, people would be buying for example asian cars or russian trucks instead?
================================
Oh yeah, EU structural funds, countries that have been given EU monies (in reality its a loan) were forced to spend it on shit no1 wants, like building soccer fields in even tiniest villages with 5 kids most. This way For every 1 euro given to V4 countries, 86 cents were going back to Germany.

Miss the old ways yet?

> No one can compete against German companies
> I know, I'll mention German companies!
> Eat shit, you don't know how Germany is out-competing their international competition, both within the EU and outside

The Point
--------------
Your Head

>Germany pushed the euro because it would ensure that they could export their products while keeping their currency relatively cheap.
That's factually wrong.
France pushed the Euro on chancellor Kohl as a precondition for German unification.
The ECB financial policy changed from German-style focus on value stability to funding states (means their debt) through the central bank in the post 2008 era.
Which in turn lead to the inception of the AfD party by Bernd Lucke (because not all German economists were actually fine with that).
German goods being undervalued on the world market is only a side effect of that money printing policy, negative interest rates are mainly there to prevent the PIGS EU states from going bankrupt again.
German products would still sell at higher prices, because nobody else makes them.

>Ordnung + German Efficiency
>???
>priceless

I want to see more warmachine.

if by old you mean time between '89 and joining the EU the answer is Yes.
It is a well known fact that if central european countries didn't join the eu their economies would have actually develop faster.

>German products would still sell at higher prices, because nobody else makes them.

BECAUSE YOU KILLED OFF ALL COMPETITION THAT DID AT ONE POINT.

HOW IS THIS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND!

I already said the Euro helped, but it's silly to say that it's "fueled purely off the fact that no one can compete any longer".
For one, it's just impossible that everyone suddenly stopped giving a shit because it would be extremely silly, but for a more tangible reason even if we assume that Germany has an unbeatable position, getting complacent would open them up to competition from WITHIN Germany

Because of better quality. I thought that would be clear. I haven't seen anything american manufactured that isn't sub China tier quality.

Which still doesn't benefit anyone outside of Germany. Are you starting to the see the actual point of this discussion? Or are you still hellbent on proving you're ultra-nationalist when it comes to comparing European countries and their productivity?

How is it so hard to understand that if german products were not up to par, a superior new competitor would easily usurp them?
We don't have secret agents running around shooting entrepeneurs in the US or China in the head you know.

nibba I "work" 12 hours a day

You're moving goalposts.

See this is the problem with germans.
They dont understand simple things.

Brexit thing started being serious like what, 1 year ago?

Germany didn't learn a fcking lesson and they recently passed another eu laws that kills free market in europe.

They Will never change unless EU finally collapse, and if you listen to pretty much any american think tank you would know that the only question is "How Soon"

It has been like what, 9 years already? and they still didn't solve the issue who will pay bancrupcy bill.

Strong presence of Turkish and Somali immigrants revitalizing their economy.

YOUR PRODUCT ARE SHIT!!
YOUR PRODUCT ARE SO SHIT THAT YOU HAVE TO KILL COMPETING INDUSTRIES IN OTHER COUNTRIES BY ABUSING EU POWER.

you guys can't even make legit cars anymore without collusions and faking emissions etc.

Please do explain. My original point is that Germany is exploiting their dominant position in controlling Euro valuations via EU policy on business, which solely benefits Germany and no one else within the Euro-zone. Then my point there is "Which doesn't benefit anyone outside of Germany." Exactly my original point.

Now you're just trying to change topics.

Germany also has a very well working "migrant industry". As long as ECB continues to print money to support PIGS (Portugal, Italy, Greece, Spain) states, Germany is going to put it to use.

>France pushed the Euro on chancellor Kohl as a precondition for German unification

The French pushed the Euro because they think of themselves as that prestigous Napoleonic Empire that conquered Europe, and so they thought that France with all her prestige will be the brain of Europe, by coming up with strategies and goals, while Germany will provide money and workforce, because they're less shining culturally and because of their WW2 guilt. The truth is of course that money gives power and Germany has more of that

Stay mad loser.

D'aww I get so proud when I see pol having these nice, reasonable conversations about pretty mundane things like business, the economy of current day..

>Meanwhile antifa hosting awards ceremony for most marginalized person of the month

>YOUR PRODUCT ARE SHIT!!
That's why everyone buys them.
>you guys can't even make legit cars anymore
Who needs cars, if you can build power plants?

What are you going to do about those Antifa marches there, champ? Have you tried addressing people about Antifa? What was their reaction?

Probably along the lines of, "They're anti-Fascist! That's a good thing!" Right? That's what I've received. Some level-headed people say, "If they're espousing assault and actually carrying it out, then they are no better than the so called 'Fascists'."

How do you propose we start turning the narrative towards painting Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization? I've already been banned on a few forums for eliciting such ideas.

They dictate to the wealthiest continent in the world what their collective monetary policy is and prevent imports from other wealthy countries from reaching the entire continents shores without tariffs. It's really that simple.

Did you know that American made CT scanners have a 25% tax added to them? You can look it up online if you search EU tariffs or something along that line. They have a whole schedule based upon country of manufacturer and Market.

you're an example of a moron, who thinks that he found out the secret about unit labour costs of Germany compared to the rest of the Eurozone and in his fervor tries to enlighten the people of Sup Forums, by making it seem as the Euro currency is the only reason why Germans are economically successful

If german products are shit, then how come all countries of the world use german cars, german machines, german chemistry and so on, you monkey?

Sure, the unit labour cost gives Germany a huge advantage, but ask yourself you moron, why is it that markets decided to trust Germany more in 2008 than Spain or Portugal? Because Germany has some prestige behind itself and a stereotype of being a solid country, of good quality products

That emissions scandal was really terrible. I don't understand it honestly, like a couple of months before the story broke VW became once again world leader in car sales and they feel the need to do this shit? It's an unbelivable shame.

And just to get it out there because I've read it a bunch in this thread now - killing the competition is not evil or whatever, at least not necessarily. Like I said a bunch of times now, german export strength long preceeds any EU or Euro shenanigans. German companies have killed the competition by simply being better for many, many years.

Well you were saying german companies' current position of strength is "fueled purely off the fact that no one can compete any longer" and I thought I explained pretty well why that's not the case and then you go on about how it's still benefefits Germany as a whole because even if they were replaced it would be another german company - clearly a different point.

But anyway with your position out there, let's address it. Is Germany exploiting their dominant position? Well, it definately has its benefits, no doubt, but I wouldn't say exploiting. And more importantly, I'd say that the importance of EU policy on the success of the companies I described in my first post is very small. That butthurt pole talkes about shady deals, like for example forcing Greece to buy german arms and shit, and that's terrible obviously, but it's also not the type of companies I was talking about. When Merkel is making policy to benefit german companies, she's thinking about VW and Bosch and Bayer, not the worl leading in industrial cork cleaning solutions with 50 emplyees.

Are you talking about their Nov. 4th "plan" or ingeneral?

>The French pushed the Euro because they think of themselves as that prestigous Napoleonic Empire that conquered Europe, and so they thought that France with all her prestige will be the brain of Europe, by coming up with strategies and goals, while Germany will provide money and workforce, because they're less shining culturally and because of their WW2 guilt. The truth is of course that money gives power and Germany has more of that
Still shills on Sup Forums are retconning the Euro as Germany's evil master plan to subdue Europe (while it was planned the other way around) and a debt-friendly fiscal policy (which I personally pay for) as intentional economy-killer (while in reality it just keeps EU shitholes and their corrupt governments afloat).

This obsession with manufacturing. Krauts stand to lose out big time with the move to self driving and electric cars. No way 'muh vorsprung durch technik' will count for shit once internal combustion is dead and all cars are limited to 70.

Riding on the past doesn't guarantee a bright future.

Both

>all cars are limited to 70
Not in Germany.

Because it's run by people who can't fucking handle jaywalking

bump

That's not what I meant. The question was, why are Germans so successful, and that big headed polish monkey points at only recent events, like the Euro currency and accuses Germany of being a shit economy in reality, even though they fucking have their export niches all over the world

And then there's also the question - why didn't Spain, Italy or Portugal bother to push through reforms similar to that of Schroeder which froze german salaries in the industry? Italy for instance before the Euro had constantly high inflation, which disappeared after adopting the Euro. Why shouldn't we appreciate the german bureaucrats for being far seeing enough so that they have made proper reforms, and see in this one reason of german success as opposed to PIGS, which were riding on the back of northern economy while it lasted?

I don't know man, but I think the "It's ok to be white" was a good start because it shows we on the right can collaborate internationally and organize in a matter of just a few days! Just have to come up with a good plan.

Totally off topic to the thread but whatever hahaa

Guys dont listen to that chav => all he did is he read only about the euro currency part and he ignored the rest. He is that one shill who keeps on triggering Poles with his retarded imaginated fake stories.

> Germany's evil plan to subdue Europe (while it was planned the other way around)

But still ended up being Germany in the driver seat. Glad you admit it.

> A debt-friendly fiscal policy as inentional economy-killer

Which you want so your currency isn't astronomically higher than your competitors. You WANT to keep those shit countries (i.e. the P.I.G.S of Europe) around so their complete trash industrial sector can keep them suckling off the EU gibs teet.

That's why you keep hearing murmurs of "If X country is allowed to leave, then it could possibly spark a wave of others wanting to leave."

Oh NO! Not our debt obligations! We need you back so you can continue to take loans from us!

Yep, well see how you like the UK importing 10000s of cars from China instead. Which is the real story here. Where does the vast majority of precision engineering come from now, and where will it come from in future? Hint: its not Germany. All of your 'muh family firms' will be steamrollered by drastically cheaper Chinese imports, and over time the revenue will enable them to invest and surpass the best you have to offer.

they dont have to spend money on a military you dumb canadian cucktard.
