I think it's a bit of a stretch for the numerology since I don't believe in conspiracy theory stuff but I do see trends. Can't remember which year it was but they announced teal was the "color of the year" so more people wore it. I predicted Red would be used more this year and so far it has stood out far more often than it used to. I've seen dozens more people wearing red this year than I did last. Red and Blue are popular colors but noticing an increase in either, it must be sizeable, not just a shift in my own perspective (since I am now paying attention to it) - since I have been keeping unbiased note throughout several years.

Well... I'd argue red is more bold and aggressive. More of a hardline color. Blue is a passive tone that comes off as soft yet still strong and vivid. It's very ideological with Red conservatives and Blue democrats. As for purple being used, I can only see it as a merging of the two. Centrism? A shift in power from one to the other? It might not be all bad, consider the Blue had the power for the last decade, and we are shifting into Red. Or am I to assume this gestures a decrease in power, because Red is currently popular and it's a shift more towards Blue?
