Because 911 hadn't happened yet

that makes it worse.....

because the culture shock purposely created by the acts of 9/11 turned almost everyone into political weirdos

increased security, lack of trust, and the rise of the internet got rid of childhood

Because Seinfeld and Friends were good shows

Because they were.

Less jew control

Because 9/11 is roughly a good delineation point for when things started to go to shit. In truth, it was starting to go downhill before 9/11, but in general things were better in the pre-9/11 world.

This is the projected asbestos fallout from the 9/11 attacks.

If you're on this map, how fucked are you?

Cuz you weren't here

The whole y2k bullshit apocalypse was the mainstream beginning of memes/propaganda taking over.
Now we have creatures called millennials that "think"
Socialism is cool but they do not even have the ability to define what it is.
And it's not even ok to be white

Because they're ignorant, or normie cattle that somehow thought that history had come to an end after the Cold War ended. It caused saccharine, nauseating displays of patriot-retardation, tougher security checks at airports, greater political discussion of/involvement with foreign wars, and little else.

If you are from Jew York just by this infographic you're literally cancer.

kys.

Back then, the government didn't watch you masturbate

Because 911 caused the American govt as well as American citizens to throw the 4th amendment out the window with things like the (((patriot act))) and (((NSA))) because cucks are willing to surrender their rights for muh safety which doesnt actually keep them safe.

Because 2 wars which killed 100s of thousands of civilians in the middle east and destabilized the entire region. The euro immigrant crisis, you can thank America for that one.

Because 1000s of American families lost a son or brother or father just so some senators can line their pockets with petrodollar money.

Because nobody cared about offending mudslimes because nobody cared about sandland. You could openly rip on mudslimes and everyone would chuckle about it.

Most of it has nothing to do with 911 directly though, it was just the time.
>before sjw and pc bull crap
>before normies used the internet, only 38% of US homes had computers connected to the net, so there was interenet but people werent totally glued to their screens and again no normies used it
>there were cell phones but no smartphone kikery
>video games didnt have dlc or micro transactions
>the 2008 recession hadnt happened yet so people were still running up massive debt and not giving a fuck living way above their pay grade
>cars didnt have to have all this electronic safety bs in them
>Nick and Cartoon Network still had good cartoons on them

It was a modern time with modern tech, but people still talked to eachother and tech didnt run their lives. It was a more innocent time.

Because shitposting at 2800 baud made me feel like an Australian.

90s was peak America since the 1950s.

There were tumultuous times in the 60s due to Vietnam and cultural marxism. This continued into the 70s. By end of Carter at end of 70s people said ENOUGH! They elected Reagan, religion was popular, and so was business and making money. And then at the end of the 80s and beginning of the 90s, communism collapsed around the globe. The USSR, our greatest foe for a generation, was vanquished.

There was absolutely no question that the American way was the best way. Everyone around the world loved America, video games and cartoons were great, things were changing but still very patriotic. Dare I say the 90s were peak civic nationalism. Which depending on your opinion is good or bad, but I think we can all agree it's better than none at all. There was a real belief that things were only going to get better, everyone was making money, the sky was truly the limit. We still believed we might have flying cars or space colonies within 20 years because why spend so much on defense now that the USSR is gone?

And then 9/11 happened, and it just tore everything to shit. Don't believe me? There was no such thing as "Emo music" before 9/11. Those attacks made everyone depressed, and it spilled into pop culture via Emos

it was

we weren't commie and we weren't fascist.
I want to go back to those times.

Is that a serious question?

Fucking this.

I'm 32. Everything was better before 9/11.

I miss the dough eyed, fresh faced idealism of the 90s, people were full of hope and excited for the future.

Yeah people were even saying it was "the end of history" because of how seemingly perfect everything was. Amazing economy. Very little conflict in the world. Technological revolutions. And then 9/11 happened. Bush/Cheney sank the country into debt, diverted a huge portion of economic activity to the military-industrial complex, passed the Patriot Act that eroded people's civil liberties, etc. And the mainstream media propaganda really began to take off. The media was pretty much a puppet for the administration in pushing the Iraq War, which shows they work for both parties as long as they represent the establishment. As a result, people became zombified and sheep-like, and explains antifa and other wonderful phenomena we see today

I think you nailed it. We can say a lot of things have changed, but the most important aspect is that people back then really belived that the future could only get better.

This. But for people born after it's perhaps hard to imagine a world without cameras everywhere.

Because they were. If you haven’t lived the 90s you will never believe it because you will never know what it wad to live in the 90s.

We had all that capital that had been building since the enlightenment, culminating in the greatest decade in human history, and then swiftly proceeded to squander it.
