Carter Paige is a disaster right now for a lot of reasons. Mainly because he's a weird mix of attention whore and not really in trouble but close to getting in trouble for lying for no reason. But beyond that, something struck me with his recent media circus...he indirectly said he had met with Mueller sometime back and was interviewed. He followed it up by saying how with all of the leaks and politically driven narratives in DC right now, he appreciated how professional Mueller's investigation was and that he wasn't leaking shit.
Now that just totally runs contrary to everything I've believed for some time. I was under the impression Mueller was coordinating leaks *TO* control the narrative in this investigation. But if Carter Paige, a well known figure to Russia crazed lefties, had been officially questioned and provided testimony that he met with "Russians" even if unrelated to campaign, how did this not leak?
Is Paige somehow correct that Mueller is running as clean of an investigation as possible and these coordinated leaks are coming from elsewhere? There aren't many who would be in the know re:Russia Probe, but there are some. Rosenstein for example. I'm also reminded of a Grassley statement not too long ago, a man I absolutely trust, he said he advised Trump to let Mueller finish his investigation. No politician is more in the know regarding the Russia stuff than Chuck.
