Is Latin Mass different from regular Mass except for the language? I would expect not. I've been to Masses in other languages and it's not hard to follow along with the usual routine even though you can't understand the words.

it’s pretty different from what I’ve seen. There is almost no participation from the pew, the priest faces away from the congregation the entire time, and the kneeling/standing times are different

I’m mostly afraid of sticking out- saying the wrong thing, standing at the wrong time, being in people’s way when they go to receive communion. Being underdressed. Being overdressed. I’m gonna wear dress slacks and a tie, but no coat or jacket. Hopefully that’s a good middle ground

That doesn't seem like it should be too hard to keep up with. I mean, there's ample room to criticize the Mass for being so robotic, but on the other hand that makes it easy for noobs to follow along with what everybody else is doing, especially if you're toward the back.

Due to mass slavic immigration in my regio, Orthodox churches overral have a stronger sense of community and are more conservative than catholic ones in general.
Catholicism has been dilluting pretty hard here in Brazil.
Is there any reason why I should seek Catholicism instead of Orthodoxism when the latter is more closely related to me and my community?

I think heathery is cool and all, but like Catholicism is the living tradition of Europe. More “pagan” tradition is alive in Catholicism than in neopaganism. You can still appreciate the ancient myths and be Catholic.i personally own 5 translations of the Edda.

It's actually on the decline in Brazil. If I had to choose rather than being born into Catholicism, I would definitely be taking a good hard look at Orthodoxy. The Orthodox churches near me definitely have a whole different feel of community to them.

Due to depression, daily suicidal thoughts and 20 years of loneliness, I am seeking religious help to understand who I am and why I am here, and the Orthodox community seems more welcoming and more related to me since I'm half slavic myself.
Their churches are maintained by the slavic community and no one else really.
