On the internet, everywhere is dominated by right wingers such as any YouTube video or Sup Forums etc. However, in the real world the only people I see are left wingers. What is this strange phenomenon? Is it just the area I live in? It feels like the matrix.

See By 'the real world', you probably mean the workplace, college, school, something like that, right? In the workplace, you have employers who, if they don't push them themselves, have employers of their own who enforce corporate politics on it's staff, that of course entails demoting and relieving staff members that don't have politics that the higher-ups approve of. Those ebil rightwingers are the same moderate liberals you meet in the workplace. They just don't openly admit it. Same goes for college. College staff and administration is known to be completely infested with leftists, no those aren't just leftists. If you're not an open marxist, you aren't going to pass their litmus tests and be considered the right choice for professorships and administration. Thus college professors and administration have strictly left-wing politics and push those even onto the students by A: Starting every class with extreme left political preachings and inciting anger against anyone that vocally disagrees, B: Using any subject matter where grading criteria are murky (creative writing, arts in general, constructive drawing) to apply double standards and try to (there are limits to how far they can) fail anyone that was caught voicing a not strictly left-wing opinion. In school, teachers have a lot more ways and options to do that than college professors and you can guess their politics, considering most people who actively seek a career that involves them being left alone with and in charge of children, do so with less than optimal motives.
