>Mall not filled with groups of roving gang bangers and spics
>Not one fucking pair of yoga pants
Love this song. Still holds up.
Its a commie song
B+ I didn't even put together the yoga pants thing, just that the girls aren't acting like complete whores. Good point
the band is from California, I think. so in retrospect, that makes complete
makes complete sense*
Freaking me out that this was 20 years ago btw, holy shit.
Along these same lines, you can go back to videos that seemed pretty risque and racy not that long ago and now they seem like G rated disney shit.
My report: O taip, ši dainelė grįžta ankstyviems dviem tūkstančiams filmų. Jis buvo naudojamas gana dažnai, skamba panašu, kad komunistiniai pranešimai yra paslėpti. Bet kokiu atveju, žydų dujos, dabar lenktyniaujantis.
P.S. Give me an A and I'll suck ur cock.
what does he mean by dreamers disease?
daca?
also lots of whites somehow
Smart phones killed this kind of lifestyle.
now fuck off you millenial.
was the first thing I noticed, too. the amount of whites in that video would not fly today
this is what it translated to. B+ because we know the Jewish gas is now undeniably racing
Nigger-derived music being played by cultural wastes in a house of consumerism. Stop getting nostalgic for slightly less malignant degeneracy.
its ironic people like this shit because back then it was annoying as fuck pop music
A-
the mall being killed by technology was the other thing that stuck out to me
fuck off fagot
back then this was the shit
IT'S STILL A GOOD SONG TO ME, DAMMIT
yeah, if you were a faggot it was probably good
jewish gas is racing
gas the bikes
race war now
A
Auto-Tune
Internet Access
Next shitty slide thread.
no, it wasn't, it was utter shit like all the other one-hit-wonders.
This is one of my grandmother's favorite songs.
Pretty sure Gregg Alexander (lead singer) is autistic.
>this thread
White guy at 1:46 is high on coke
You becoming old is what killed your lifestyle. Us millenials are happier than you gen x's ever were.
You guys have picked up on mostly everything I did, except the two same race couples in the very beginning not and there's hardly anyone that looks like they say "I'm not fat, I'm thicccc"
those were the wonder years
now we have soybois wearing skinny jeans
Malls died before smartphones became readily accessible.
If anything smartphones make it easier to go to malls thanks to all the "apps".
All malls were just indoor cities. That was the intent of the designer who created them. The idea does not work in America because it's too big. We have plenty of land and outdoor cities.
The internet killed the use of malls regardless. People can buy and sell things online from their home. The demand for shipping instead of retailers increased as more people got access to the internet (including retailers themselves).
Malls can only thrive in sub-urban areas with minimal internet access and "food deserts".
song was gay then, song is gay now. I like the song kinda though but it was vh1 bubble talk hits on repeat. I hate this song.
>tfw legs are too ripped to wear normal jeans
>shorts or chef pants
But the 90s was all thug niggers and gang banging.
This music video is just white boys destroying a mall and expecting someone else to clean it up.
late 90's things started to go awry, yeah.. granted, though everything first really took a turn towards shit, after 2000.
early to mid 90's, was good. Real good. There was a flow to things, man. A certain, mellow aura and loose karma, we might never see again.
dusty sunlight, tasty rain. Laughter form outta nowhere.
shit, I'm talking out my ass... but hey, I was there. I remember.
we're the last generation of the old world, we who were born in the 70's. We carry that legacy, and that's quite a responsibility. Irony is.. though, responsibility might be the only thing we truly hate.
who gives a shit.
Meh. I feel like rock still had influence back then. Even if this isn't rock. And pop hadn't been too tainted from hip-hop yet. There's no pop song now that isn't ruined by some retarded rapper making a random appearance on a pop song rapping about shit that's unrelated to the song
i could hear that fucking bubble pop to this day
Funny story, I've worked with Gregg before. He's a cool guy.
youngfag detected, write back in 30 years and tell us how "happy" you are.
rock was big in the 90's, and it wasn't just grunge and indie etc, metal really took off in those years and funk-rock bands like Red Hot Chilli Peppers hit the mainstream.
did you ever get to ask him why they broke up so quickly
Hasn't changed that much at all. Just a few more spics.
yeah rock sort of faded out of popularity sometime around 2008-2010
true, true that is.
Obama years. It eerily hit mainstream prior to Clinton's election and after the Bush's one, when I think about it. NIN, nu metal, etc, you'd know if you listen to it.
I have always hated this song and video, even when it came out it sucked.
Today's active lifestyles require an internet connection.
people still went to shopping malls
I actually got to spend time with my great grandmother who was born in the 1890s. And I saw parts of America without paved roads where people still cooked on woodstoves and used outhouses. I believe I saw the end of more than an era, but a whole existence that had been largely unchanged for centuries.
America hasn't changed ya poof

well put. The old began dying around the 1890's, and took it's last gasp of air at the turn of the millennium. This, is why I claim Generation X to be the last generation of the old world, the last cohort to remember the time before cell phones and the world wide web. The last generation to have a childhood and youth, unadulterated and unsurveilled .
your digits confirm. we're still living in 1997
I fucking hate liberals. They ruined this country with their moral less bullshit. They've completely shifted the culture from courteousness to nihilism
The Optimism:
>You got the music in you
>You got a reason to live
>This world is gonna pull through
The singer looks kinda derpy, must be the flouride.
It was a good time to grow up. It's a horrible time to grow old, but I am thankful for seeing a glimpse of what most will never see again.
amen to that, brother.
lemme guess
peak ignorance, holistically speaking from all points of society and economy.
gay video
there's no racial division like there is in every music video today, but there is a lot of classist division in 90's videos. Corporate white guys making money always being the enemy.
If it's not racial then it's classist. If it's not racial or classist, then it's religious.
For sure, never noticed it till you said that but that dude is seriously enjoying a numby.
good points. I've wondered if it was no coincidence that right after the Occupy protests suddenly BLM and feminism and this gender shit all started ramping up times 1000. gotta keep the peasants distracted and fighting with each other
Monkeypox.
The Edge of U2 was asked if there was one song he wished he had written and he answered "You Get What You Give."
Wipepo runnin' from radicals, America.. America never changes
Materialism has only grown, as any person worth their salt has been tossed back to the sea.
Too gay couldn't watch
