Maybe I'm being too optimistic, but like you said the Saudis have been at war for years without a major happening (i.e. nobody gives a shit about Yemen). This is just their latest attempt to drum up US support and I don't see it working.

Rich countries bombing shitholes is nothing new. But Lebanon is fairly civilised, it'd be a massive escalation for the Saudis to invade it.
