>boomers
>dying

user, this will never happen. boomers are eternal.

If you study about money, you will know it's impossible.
America is in massive debt.
Banks can't loan money and even if they can, you can't pay back.

They deserve to live forever, I guess. They gave us such a great life. Look at this, only half a million dollars per bedroom. We have similar prices to Hong Kong, because like Hong Kong, Australia is a tiny island with tens of millions of Chinese people. Why aren't you getting married and having children yet at these great prices?

>tfw studying med to pay for this
>mfw hecs debt approaching critical mass

Who cares about hecs debt? It's not a real debt. Just don't pay taxes or leave the country.

Once you hit $124k it caps out and I fucked around for years doing bullshit before taking med. I should just make it. I can only hope the meme money is real and lets me pay it off quickly so I can spend 10 years saving for 1/4 of a house.

Millennials should just be focused on accruing their own wealth while waiting to inherit the wealth of their parents. My grandparents own a fully paid off house worth around $700,000, life insurance policies and a small business. My parents own their house worth $600,000, several rental properties which bring in around $5k per month and have life insurance policies worth nearly a million. Eventually all this will be passed down to me who will then along with the wealth I accrue during my lifetime be passed down to my son. If he doesn't fuck it up then in a few generations our line should be doing pretty well. The problem a lot of people have is that they come from a line of fuck ups.

Don't worry user, it will all come down soon. Especially taking into account how much Aussies are in debt on average (sth like $250'000), they'll be forced to sell their property to the next generation that is actually facilitating something of value.

generating*

end me

Stop paying $20 for crushed avocados toast for breakfast.. save fuckers

Yeah unless sometime down the line a person gets into power that increases the estate tax.

The fuck do you need five bedrooms, three bathrooms and a 4 car garage for? You couldn't afford to heat that house, or pay taxes on it, even if you did buy it.

Boomers should be supporting their adult children instead of kicking them out at 18. Give them time to save and maybe even buy a block of land together and build a house or two for them to live for a while...it fixes the random housemate issue and once the kids are loved up and ready to marry they can get out of their parents hair.
Or they can just buy a new car, a boat, get a couple of cats and kick the kids out to fend for themselves and wonder why their kids can never get in front.

We will just take them it will be ok user. Once we kill all the faggot pedophiles alot of prime real estate will be available.

I WANT A TWO STORY, FIVE BEDROOM, 3 BATHROOM HOME WITH SPACE FOR FOUR CARS. IT SHOULD BE WALKING DISTANCE TO THE TRAIN STATION AND SHOPPING CENTER, LESS THAN 30 MINUETS TO THE AIRPORT AND CITY CENTER BUT I DON'T WANT TO PAY MUCH

FUCKING MILLENNIALS

155kpa here faggots.

Step one join army reserve

Step 2dont bother going to training

Step 3 obtain secret clearance

Step 4 move to Canberra

It's not that fucking hard

Boomers got it

Fuck I hate boomers

Tfw did a trade
Plumber making good cash. Bought a house at 24 now 30 almost paid off. Life's good

Go rural it’s worth it. Nothing like standing on your front porch naked.

Get fucked

Sydney shits can stay in Sydney and rot

Millennials that already know how to manage money are buying homes.
These people have socialized medicine, they don't understand.
You're fucking stupid. Remember the 08' financial crisis caused by banks loaning out money to people who couldn't pay it back? (IE too much lending) We export our debt to the rest of the planet and let you faggot sort out the crumbs.

>You're fucking stupid.

No, you are the stupid because
1)you think you can export your debt.
2)you don't know who to blame for the debt.

Hahah over a million dollars and still have to deal with lack of privacy and loud music. And the answer is a hearty fuck no.

As someone whose on disability, but has an inheritance (being split 3 ways) where would I be able to buy a house in the future?

Am I basically going to have to move to the sticks?

How's that going to work if I don't drive/use transport.

Step 1 stop being disabled
Step 2 start being enabled.

Move to an extremely inconvenient place and just bitch and moan until your government sends you a live in waifu.

I've been saving and working very hard for almost ten years and only have 40k in savings. If I keep saving for another 10 years I might be able to buy a 17 square meter apartment. Just lol.

thats actually a very good price for 5 beds there...the markets seems to have dropped a bit.

also buy BTC its the only way out off this inflation,QE,Wagecuck, maddness

Australian federal police are on their way, hope it was worth it traitor.

I was right just googled it, it just sold for 2.2M...

i thought it looked a but cheap

I feel more confident about btc now....

I am also med fag...

Me too dude, fucking OSCEs on monday.

Just get a BoQ home loan your first day of being an intern, no deposit needed.

This is what boomers don't seem to understand.

>Step 1 stop being disabled
>Step 2 start being enabled.
Do NOT work at Taco Bell!

Roaming Millennial gets $5000 a month from kissless virgins. She should be able to afford a house.

Here's some facts for you goys.

Half of all new loans created a INTEREST-ONLY LOANS.

Interest-only loans do not pay off the principle but pay slightly less interest. In effect, people are not actually buying homes, they are simply paying the interest on home loans.

Interest rates are at historic lows of 1.5%. If they went to even just 2% again, many Australians would have to default on their loans. We are much worse than America during 2008.

Half of people with interest-only loans don't even know they have interest-only loans.

Foreign countries and rich faggots will scoop them right back up again don't you worry

Not here. Not unless something catastrophic happens to the housing market, or they start building commie blocks . The future for me at 24 is probably rent, or buy cheap land and buy a pre fab, the latter is nearly impossible also though because land here is somexpensive because there is so little. If the government were to sacrifice some green or brown belt land for housing then that might change, they’re going to have to do something eventually otherwise we will all be living out of vans or boats or some shit. 70million+ people on a tiny fucking island, its only going to keep getting worse.

How close are we to housing prices taking a nose dive and half the country having negative equity?

we have to pay a lot of money to keep niggers from moving into the hood

housing prices will collapse once we get 3d printed housing going.

>Half of all new loans created a INTEREST-ONLY LOANS.
Only retards took those here 15 years ago and all started crying. Now I don't think you can even get them anymore.

What happened just before 1975? Increased automation?

Why the hell was something like that even allowed? Jesus Christ.
Did all the (((Bankers))) pull the anuddah shoah card or something?

fuck..which uni...I am usyd year 2 just did 12 osces bout 2 weeks back

youtube.com/watch?v=4rvKP_yfcGM

us is mad...its the land you idiot, that the expensive bit not the house.....

Automation and a breakdown of gender roles, with women entering the workforce at an unprecedented rate.

How good is the location of this flat? Is there anything to justify the cost?

Like is it within the CBD?

Monash dude, year 3.

How did your exams go? Nice to know some of the med profession is red pilled.

It's about 5km away from the CBD. But even if you go to TWO HOURS AWAY from the CBD like Mount Druitt, houses are still almost one million.

It's fucked up. I'm not sure if they've been banned in the meantime, but there was a huge fuzz about it when the retards found out they weren't paying off anything.

Fucking hate you.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nixon_shock

The end-the-fed Ron Paul fags aren't kidding

Only because of fake green laws, you aussies have plenty of land, they just won't let you build on it.

Damn! I've got a mate who lives in Brisbane and she says that finding good housing is nearly impossible there.

It's such a big contrast to here in Scandinavia, where most couple build their own homes when they are 25-30.These houses are usually pretty huge, and depending where you build it'll cost you maybe 200-400k €. I could never imagine paying a million for a one bedroom flat.

Yup. If everyone could have some land and build a house there would be too many happy contented people that may choose to not partake in society, cant have that.

Within the space of twenty years, we went from being 'The Lucky Country' to a country where people commute 1.5 hours from parramatta to work to pay off their 1.5 million dollar loan which costs them 20,000 in interest per year.

Please tell me more

All whites should leave the city. House prices are very affordable

fuck yeah I have been on Sup Forums forever,,,and good too know some one else in redpilled, ...osces I think went ok....I use geeky med utube...

the shit I want to say in med sometimes...but cant...though sometimes i have...

how do u cope ... are u full fatherland yet?

Yeah, but your minimum wage is like 25$ an hour so everyone is rich, right?

All you fucking Aussies are whingers.
Young Chinese girks are more industrious than you because they get jobs wankung off me and my mates at massage parlours. They’ll be a home before any of you because they do the jobs none of you will

Everything is super expensive over here so it levels out.

In leafland they've gradually pushed the maximum amortization period down to 25 years and now you need to be able to pass an affordability check for an interest rate higher than is being offered to be eligible for whatever amount.

>live in tiny 40 sqm/430 sqft apartment with 1 bedroom
>20 minutes outside the city in lower middle class neighborhood
>Cost $450,000
>Average salary in Norway is $52k/year

I hate boomers so god damn much for destroying the real estate market.

Someone needs to make a boomer merchant

Bit not in paper money pls

It's not that fucking hard to get your shit together. Get a job in a field with stead work and manage your money well and you can go far. Ffs I'm 21 married with a kid and have a home. Idiots just blow money oin stupid shit and wonder why they are living like shit.

lol turn off hgtv, that shit is staged

I'm a millennial.
I just bought a house.

To a point, yes.
One of the things that fueled the market drop in 08 was the fact that young couples were buying well over their means, instead of starting off with cheap, starter homes. Of course greedy banks were more than happy to enable this as well.

Anyone remember if the GFC in '08 affected the housing market in Australia? There are whispers that another crash is coming. Hopefully the housing market here gets fucked so I can buy house on the cheap.

mfw dad bought me a 3 MILL NOK apartment right outside Oslo. mfw I will be in debt for the rest of my life or until i sell the apartment

So you mean when everyone makes more money that everything costs more money? Like when a business has to double their cost of doing business with payroll that they just increase the cost of goods? But everyone makes so much money so they're rich

>Dad bought me
>In debt for the rest of my life
That's not your dad buying you an apartment, he just out your name on a loan for a space in someone else's building. Probably at a ridiculous interest rate or over market value for the place. Good luck with your debt user

> Is it possible for the average millenial to buy a house?

No. Your average millenial is too wound up in keeping up with the jones', blowing all their savings on shiy they can't afford and being shitty with their finances to save or have the credit to purchase a home.

>Is it possible for a millenial to purchase a home?

Yes, bought my first home using a VA-loan at the bottom of the housing bubble when I was 22 (It helps serving in a useful MOS that translates into an actual civilian career). Sold that house for double what I bought it for.
My dream home, that I recently signed the paperwork for, is currently under construction: 5-bedroom, 3 bath, 2 car extra deep garage with a big backyard on a corner lot. All while people my age are still trying to " Find themselves and what they want to do in life".

My Advice - Your average Millenial is a POS. Don't be a POS Millenial:

Don't spend blow your entire check on frivolous crap you can't afford. Use your money to better yourself, your 20s should be dedicated to setting the foundation of your future.

Fuck college, join the Military or go to a trade school. I'll caveat that with joining a program that is useful, has potential for growth, and not something that can be replicated by a robot or Juan

Build your credit! Yes, I know the banks and their schemes... But if you want to get ahead in life, you're going to have to play their game. For those of you with no credit: open up a secure credit card, let it turn into a regular credit card, and keep your total balance under 20-30% and don't miss a payment.

>There are whispers that another crash is coming
LOL WHISPERS, you are dumb as fuck.

With the central banks pumping money into the system and keeping interest rates at practically zero and even negative in some instances this can go on INDEFINITELY.

Face it millenials you are screwed and the boomers are gonna get you one last time on the way out LOL

>join the Military

Basically gibs for mongrels, you sir are a huge faggot

A huge faggot with a high five-figure salary and dream home

31M, Contractor outside of Boston.
Bought my house right at the end of the housing crisis in 2013 for 200k. Put 100k into renovation, did my own work. Home worth 450k+.
Do your research. Follow markets and trends. And don't be a cuck.
Sweat>Blood>Hard work>Profit??
Pic is my house.

The mistake is that (((they))) even let boomers own houses in the first place. Don't worry, the same mistake wont be made a second time.

US removed itself from the gold standard. It has been 100% pure hot air and bullshit since 1971

There's a similar one for the UK where in 1997 THINGS happened.

Honestly no. Apparently you need to hold a salaried job for two years to qualify for a mortgage. The nu-economy job market is based on a gig economy and contract work. All income is spotty and unreliable. Therefore no mortgages ever. And no, you cannot save 300k in cash in a reasonable length of time when you get paid 35k a year (take a 45k salary and add a few months of funemployment. Oh, it goes down!) People marry later or not at all, instead of two incomes per household you have .8. Inflation is skyrocketing, costs of housing, education, and food are skyrocketing, wages are stagnating or decreasing, and everyone has to pay for it alone, no partner. There is no way the current market can survive. The wealthy will own all the real estate, and the poor masses will eternally rentfag. Thus creaing a new feudal system. Look in any city--this is already happening. (muh rural/small towns--no fucking jobs, retards.)

Houses are shitty anyway. Huge investment, ties you down, hard to buy, hard to sell, expensive as hell to maintain, taxed out the ass. The new generation is increasingly mobile. We move frequently with little notice. How is standard home ownership a good match for this generation?

>military welfare leech talking down to anyone
You're a literal blood-slave of the jews. Thanks for fighting israel's wars on my tax dollars, faggot.

Normie memes scare me

dude, i don't even have 1.800.00,00$ in GTA Online.

I'm 30 and I've bought two homes. I left home at 19 with a suitcase with a few clothing items. I joined the Army, did college classes while I was in, and used the entire GI Bill when I got out.

Yeah, joining the Army and not going to college out of high school sucked dick but I have a masters degree debt free.

Yeah... no, I didn't get where I am by making excuses. Everything you said was spot on, up until the point where you made the excuse about owning a home. That's something I'd expect from Joe-Cuck at a Starbucks. Houses are a stategy, an investment vehicle. Yeah, the markets can crash, but markets recover.

BTW, I'm out of the Military and accepted it for what it was: a means to an end. Now excuse me while I check on the status of my house, all while getting free meals today.

looks comfy and cosy. I have a modest home that I remodeled. I dont know how most millenials are gonna get homes when they spend their money on consumer shit.

How did it get this bad? Was it tha 2008 collapse?
