In theory you can't really master all three or anything because the classifications are derived from a player's actual physical constitution. For example, Nozomi's training to become an infighter increased her muscle mass, giving her a bigger ass which was more powerful, but also slower.

It seems like the categories are there to highlight a player's best strengths. You can always incorporate other skills in the categories to give you an edge in a race.

But sometimes, some fighters really adhere to a type, like in boxing. Some fighters really enjoy countering, some just like slugging or using the ring and hand speed. More of the elite fighters can combine all three.

That being said, Nozomi strikes me so far as unorthodox (i.e. Roy Jones, Jon Jones, Takamura in Hajime no Ippo). Just a really natural feel for the game (almost like a student of the game) and elite athleticism.
