Is the only reason we not getting third season of Kaiji is because compositor was arrested and focus on mahjong was just an excuse?

Kaiji anime happened just to promote the live action movie
It bombed so they won't make Kaiji anime season 3
arrested for what?
...
>literally injecting marijuanas

You're lying, right? It's only a matter of time until they release the compositor and then we will get S3, r-right?
When he gets out he probably won't even be hired again
Even if he does S3 won't happen because there won't be any more movies
Even if more movies happened S3 wouldn't happen because making a movie is a big enough risk to even try making an anime
Fukomoto will also die in your lifetime, and he will never finish Kaiji
At least Kaiji's current rival is 10/10, even if it required an entire shitty arc to build him properly
>When he gets out he probably won't even be hired again
I hate it

This. Drug possession is a serious thing in Japan and will tarnish his reputation ruining his career for years to come. At best he will do music for small stuff but I doubt we will see him work on major releases.

They didn't do another season of Akagi as promotion for that recent movie, so you can pretty much forget about it.
As it should be, the later parts are pure torture for the reader.
The story should've ended already.
S2 ended literally 5 years ago. Hiw much time do they give you in japan for weed?
That's because the whole season would be Washizu Mahjong. They technically already ended the match in the anime too.
It's composer, not compositor. Those are two totally separate things.
7 years in max security prison at the least. He had only 1.5grams so I imagine 7 years.
he will never work in the industry again. they blackball you for that shit. which is absurd, but there you go.
Also, the following Kaiji arc was pretty lame (it was the mahjong one, right?). If anything, I'd like to see them skip that and go straight to the current arc which started kinda shitty but is currently really fucking awesome. But yeah..it's not done and Fukumoto hates all of us and will most likely not finish it.
>7 years for pot
Sasuga japan
>he will never work in the industry again. they blackball you for that shit. which is absurd, but there you go
I see a small chance due to his connections that some friends might get him work for small projects under an alias but he sure as fuck is never gonna have his name featured in any big shows credits.
...
Tell more about the current arc, please.
The grandson of the President saw how Kaiji asspulled during the Mahjong arc and offers him a gamble
Kaiji tags along and there is an entire arc of some kind of a shitty "Prisioner dilemma" gamble where Kaiji just spectates
During this game the grandson backstory and personality slowly gets revealed, and he is pretty much the opposite of Kaiji's optimistic "Believe in people", and Fukomoto actually manages to make him not edgy and justified
After that the gamble begins and it consists of Poker but with just 2 cards for each player
More metaphors, this time even more hilarious
>was pretty lame
Nigga what? It was fucking awesome, specially the rival of the arc and how Kaiji kick his ass at the end.
>Also, the following Kaiji arc was pretty lame
It was the best one
No. Mahjong is dumb. Who would want to watch anime aboyt Mahong?
>pretty lame
I was going to argue but yeah, it was the lamest. Just because I don't get mahjong tho, it got a lot of great pages. This one always puts a smile in my face.
>grandson
I thought he was his son. I'll need to check it out but i'm 90% sure.
ehhh...I already get enough fukumoto mahjong with akagi and ten. I didn't really need a watered down version for Kaiji. It honestly felt like a storyline he rejected for Ten and was like ahhh, fuck it I'ma have Kaiji do it.
yeah. I love how it is basically just reverse Kaiji. And I will never not find that hair/face combo hilarious.
It was tense af, (REAL SPOIL) Kaiji being in enemy territory, betrayed and against everyone was really endearing. You can feel he grew up in the first two parts, not only because he can make nice strategies but because of the mental struggles he goes through. I felt it was very accurate.
>It honestly felt like a storyline he rejected for Ten
Rejected from Ten because it would've been completely out of place in Ten.
I'll argue, it was sweet as hell. The spectator stuff was the weakest, but still cool as hell.
But the mahjong stuff probably opened to me better since I know how to play and watched Akagi.
manga goes to shit after second season
It's not that I don't love the parts after THE BOG (which wasn't even that good an arc), but holy shit FKMT pacing is abysmal. I'm not sure what his deal is, if he's stalling for ideas or what.
Part 2 was a perfect way to end the series. But FKMT decided to turn it into ANOTHER mahjong manga under his belt.
I remember hearing the news about the pot, but I didn't think it was that serious. Wow. He was clearly among the best industry-wide. Hope he does well in prison.
It was just for one part though.
yo fuck kaiji where the akagi at
in space
>tfw you will never be bffs with tonegawa
HE HATES IT!!!
