The thing is, they cant deviate from the lore. Forest whitaker isnt going to be able to act as a black man in any capacity, hes going to have to portray gimli, with the beard and everything. This show is going to be an absolute shitshow of a bomb that will probably get nuked in ratings, but I just want to see it to watch how these nogs are going to have to portray clearly white european characters, without a hint of their skin color or black culture being able to be applied to this.

This is going to try to remake 2001: A Space Odyssey, or like Ben-Hur, or The Godfather or something. Its pretty well agreed that the LOTR trilogy are some of the greatest films ever made. How can they even justify something like this 15 years later?

Maybe it would have made more sense if they waited like 50 years, when the LOTR film series isnt as culturally relevant.
