>tfw you will never fap to rei for the first time again

But I'm watching it right now.

It's fine, though Asuka's hard to tolerate when you aren't a 14 year old boy in 1997.

>he didn't read it first

She's a bitch

Good. Once was enough.

Just rewatch it every 5 years and it'll feel new

>for the first time

it's actually not a good 'first time' anime. It needs to be analyzed, the characters are all mentally ill but that's what makes them so interesting and appealing. Best anime of all time desu

>Asuka is a bitch meme

literally kill yourselves, the girl has mental problems and is unable to express her love to others (what she finally defeats in the end). Asuka is best girl.

I went into EVA knowing only that shit gets REALLY fucked up later on in the series. I was entirely blown away by the series and nothing has ever come close. feelsbadman

Asuka a best in all regards.
SOFT PINK THO

Yerp. Smells like a newfag trying to look cool by showing off Eva.

Not again.

all of the girls are worst
shinji made the right choice

...

just tired of everyone memeing, negro

i haven't even watched it for the first time yet
cancerous trash

It gets better every time I watch it, I wouldn't even want to start over again.

how can there be shipping faggotry for Evangelion when all of the characters hate each other

This. I keep forgetting just how many hallucinations there were and that I thought it was about schizophrenia the first time.

I have just finished watching it the series, it was my first time watching it.
I don't get all the hype. It was good but I had higher hopes.
Anyways I am looking forward to watching the movies (or whatever, i am not really sure what comes next if anything.)

Rewatching Neon Genesis Evangelion just makes the experience richer for me. The more anime I watch, the less Eva feels like randumb 2deep4u shit, and the more it actually feels like something meaningful, something that's actually a part of anime history, instead of just some sort of shitty 1990's 2-cour anime.

I know that feel. After seeing the first episode, I binge watched it all the way through in one go. I was in a trance for the next day or so.

keep watching it nonstop, you will lose all your brain cells and it will be like you were watching it for the first time again.

I haven't watched it yet, so I will experience it. My friends are having a viewing night with me so I can experience it,

>tfw watched it multiple time with others first time
>watching it again right now for someone elses first time

Always a ride. DDR best ep.

LOGH is tied for me I think.

EoE killed my soul

as expected from the master

who wants Eva analysis mixed with /r9k/ autism?

youtube.com/watch?v=NAMAwErYRpQ

Just finished watching it for the first time, haven't watched EoE yet though.

>haven't watched EoE
Don't bother, it's pretty shit.

You're a faggot with shit taste.

Sooooooooooo sooooooft.

Don't lead him astray.

I never even seen it. Is that a good thing or no?

Overrated things are still worth a try. See what you find in it. Vapid and pointless? Remarkable in some way or many ways?

I loved it, and I can absolutely see why it gets hate. I even agree sometimes. Try it, and then think for yourself.

next you're gonna tell him to go watch the rebuilds, aren't you?

Rebuilds are as comfy as a Mari in a cuddly suit.

I was actually enjoying the series a lot up until the awkward pacing near the end started up and snowballed into the dogshit ending that the anime received. It left a bitter taste in my mouth, so I watched the movie only for it to pull the exact same shit but with a better budget. Granted it did provide a better explanation of just what the hell was going on but still failed in that the context of it wasn't relevant to anything at that point. It dissolved into a montage of artificial symbolism and philosophy posing as depth that just didn't really mean anything at all, but was cool to look at. It strayed so far from what the show was, at least the anime's ending could have been considered some sort of development for Shinji despite seeming like the ramblings of a depressed madman, which they pretty much were. The ending for EoE can literally mean anything for anybody because it has no substance and it's incredibly easy to dismiss with "it's a masterpiece because it can be interpreted in many ways." Which isn't necessarily untrue but the problem lies in the reason for that, which is due to lazy writing and shitty storytelling. "The Lady Or The Tiger" is an example of a good ambiguous ending that lets you decide for yourself how the story ends. EoE isn't because it's literally nothing stirred up with things that seem symbolic, like religion and irrelevant dialogue about reality and dreams and shit but hold no actual meaning. I loved everything else about Evangelion though and still consider it something everyone should watch at some point, although it only really stood the test of time because of the controversy that came with the ending(s). It still has more to offer besides the ending, such as nice characters, an engaging story, great animation and amazing choreography.
tl;dr not bad, not great

I don't have too much of a problem with the first two rebuild like most people do, I get that they can explain as much since its a movie and not a series but God fucking damn that third movie made everyone go retarded.

The brick wall should be on the right and squidward in the middle.

love this pasta

this

Good. I don't want to contract eye cancer twice.
