With the exception of FlipFlappers, why has this season been so bad in terms of animation and visual quality? Even KyoAni has dropped the ball.

Faggots on ice looks so bad, sasuga mappa production disaster

Fune wo Amu has consistently good low key stuff, like really fluid small character movements.

That's a thing of the director more than the studio. This is her 3rd series plagued with QUALITY on a different studio.
>KyoAni dropped the ball
While working on Koe no Katachi for a single double length episode. That's it the rest is on par with S1.

3gatsu, shakunetsu and o;9 have great animation and visual quality

>Fujiko Mine
>Michiko to Hatchin
>This
I only watched MtH BDs, was the TV that bad?

O9 has been stale since ep2, and 3gatsu looks very low quality and the animation is sloppy but that's the usual shaft flare.

Haikyuu S3 is as good as always.
Touken Ranbu is good too (based dogakobo)

it's good

Only episode 2 and the second half of episode 4 of Hibike S2 have looked on par with Hibike S1. Episode 3 were mostly pans and flapping mouths, episode 1 had a few compositing mistakes.

For someone who's used to SHAFT shit animation, maybe.

...

>Even KyoAni has dropped the ball.
Episode 4 of Hibike is the best looking episode of the entire year.

It fell apart. It was spectacular though.

I know you're baiting but be more subtle at least.

This

(you)

Not really. Phantom World looks miles better. Wait for the Kigami and Yamada episodes.
Is O;9 good? I kinda forgot about it after ep 2.

>delusional fujo will defend this

I bet they spent the whole season's budget in 3 episodes of those titties.

>FlipFlappers
>animation
did not deliver

>Phantom World looks miles better
Phantom World looked ugly as shit. Only the cinematic cat episode stood out.

It's been delivering for 4 episodes straight.
sakugabooru.com/post?tags=flip_flappers

Check your eyes.

Subpar webgen shit for total like 10 second per episode with rest being typical anime QUALITY.

The cat episode was perhaps the most creative but Phantom World had good quality all around.

Hibike looks like shit this season.

Too obvious.

Kill yourself, kvin licker.

Get KyoAnis dick out of your mouth it looked like shit.

kvin guy is actually shilling for Hibike even though it looks like trash compared to FlipFlappers.

It had a puke-tier color palette and mediocre background work. Only really looked good in the other-world episodes.

Those are just opinions, I liked the color palette and how they painted the backgrounds. On a technical level it had better animation than Hibike, it was more consistent and used more than simple one-point perspective and medium shots for their framing, unlike Hibike 2 which is one of the reasons it looks so bland right now.

>I know nothing about animation the post

Tiger Mask is the best looking Toei show in years, prove me wrong

I forgot that Phantom World looked pretty meh generally until that Enigma thread earlier

Good sakuga though, and eps 4,6,7 genuinely looked good

I'm guessing you're quoting yourself?

>Phantom World looked meh

Very easy to spot people who didn't watch the show.

.t yurifag

Did somebody puke on the trees and grass?

Pandering to the yuri crowd. They want to destroy anime.

Is this edited?

why is flip flappers an exception? its animation is as shitty as any other

>le cinegrid
Very easy to spot the delusional KyoAnifag.

Like it or not, it's the best animated show of the season.

>kyoani is doing a show in winter already
DogaKobo all over again.

Who gives a shit when the characters are garbage

Neko was good, easily PW's best episode.
Hibike's last episode was technically excellent, very detailed and polished.
Kiznaiver #7 stood out too.
There are probably others but I have a shit memory.

It looks meh keep cryin KyoAnifag.

Aside from the detailed close up shots during the second part of the episode, nothing really stood out in Hibike 2 ep4.

I recommend Miracle Eye.

>used more than simple one-point perspective and medium shots for their framing
Is this supposed to convey any kind of coherent thought?

O;9, like literally every other A-1 show, will have its budget dumped all on the first 4-5 episodes. Expect a huge drop in quality soon.

Nice strawman.

What part didn't you understand?

Quality Code was real.

To being with, do you even know what one-point perspective means?

Yeah, I wanted more nicely animated kicks in my school anime.

>can't beat flip flappers
>cut costs by not trying

Do you want me to explain it to you? You can google it you know. Working in this type of perspective is much easier when animating, as well as framing the characters with medium and close up shots since you don't have to draw full body motions. Hibike, specially S2 has been doing this a lot, with the exception of the second part of episode 4. Phantom World was more bold and dynamic.

>horrible looking rotoscoping
>bad background layout

Good for them this is, at the end of the day, a fujo show.

I don't understand your reference but if you're implying that I'm wrong then fuck you. As I said, aside from the scenes with Yuuko in the second part, nothing has stood out this season.

The character art was detailed and the lighting was superb. How spoiled do you have to be not to think the entire episode looked good?

>talking about the animation
>but but but i don't like the characters

Great argument.

Prove it

No user, it's just your stale bait and bitterness.

>The character art was detailed and the lighting was superb
Yes, during the second part of episode 4

>How spoiled do you have to be
I'm a KyoAnifag, I'm used to better visual quality, better character acting and less bland framing than what Hibike 2 has offered so far.

They were watching anime they were voicing

I'm rewatching S1 and S2 ep 4 really puts the first episodes of Hibike S1 to shame, damn

Why don't you go back to sucking fat greek snob's dick?

If you actually know what it means then I suppose you didn't actually watch the episode.

>as well as framing the characters with medium and close up shots since you don't have to draw full body motions
You really don't understand the different animation needs that drama and action series have?

Holy shit if you actually read my post you'd know that I've been saying that the second part of episode 4 is the only one that has stand out.

The first season looked meh until Kigami's episode.

After that, the quality increases, but S2's quality control happened earlier.

Then a 2-point (technically 3) perspective from episode 2.

...

Kyoani is the cancer killing anime.
