JoJo was only translated recently, for a long time the only thing we had in English was part 3 and Stone Ocean, and the translation for part 3 was only finished in 2010.
It's old translation and DUWANG were pretty terrible sloppy rush jobs done quickly, it took years but VA was the last part on the list to get translated and worked on by a better team.

Guys, I don't enjoy the anime version of part 4 as much as when I read it.
I feel like Kira looks like an empty character with little depth, just a bad version of Bateman from american psycho. Each fights are looking more like fillers deconnected from the main story and it doesn't feel right.
While when I read it, I felt like Yoshikage Kira was a beautifully written character, and that each and every character and stand power was filled with psychological and philosophical depth. Most fights were entertaining by themselves, and all the characters where lovable for one reason or another. But they look so empty and meaningless in the anime.
Am I the only one having that feeling ? Was I not able to see the flaws of part 4 when reading it ?

Explain me what made enjoy more part 4 after watching the anime ?
For me, it lost a big part of its dark atmosphere and menacing feeling from its proximity with reality and highlighting the human flaws and sins that I enjoyed while reading it.

The writing changes, the added scenes, the atmosphere of the soundtrack, the consistent artstyle (even with the shoddy animation), and the love you can tell David have for the source material.
And the dark atmosphere is definitely still there. Especially with the added scenes of Kira with his victims, that add a lot of mystery to the part that resolves around mysteries.

Guys I can't objectively decide what part is the best part and why.
Part 7, part 5 and part 4 are the ones that I personally enjoyed the more(loved Diavolo/Doppio and the fights on part 5, loved Yoshikage Kira and Rohan on part 4, loved the crew and the final fight of part 3, enjoyed Joseph and Cesar + the wammu and ACDC fights on part 2, loved part 1 for everything, and had troubles with part 6's fights but great antagonist, beautiful story. The "tragedy" style of the backstories of the characters are damn good and the philosophical aspect of this part is damn good.
I feel like some part are definitely superior to some others, but I can't grasp why.
What is your favorite part and why is it superior ?
Part 6 is great because there's not a single fight I dislike, and the writing is pretty great for the most part.

I guess the feeling is different from when you're reading it constantly and then waiting for each episode to come out after every week.

I'd say the thing about part 6's crew was that everyone had some chemistry with Jolyne, but barely any with each other.
I think Part 6's problem was that the plot was retarded.
And even if the crew was never together they were all great, F,F, Anasui etc. they were all great. Not a single dud in the whole protagonist group.
Reminder that if Namco Bandai didn't just go full retard and actually made an ASB2 instead of another two-person arena fighter, we might still have gotten more Jojo games.
