Sup Forums, did Hitler make Germany broke? I have made this thread already at least 2 times and get no replies or info. Please, we can't just let the lefties use this argument without a counter-argument.
Sup Forums, did Hitler make Germany broke? I have made this thread already at least 2 times and get no replies or info...
bump!!!
Central bankers, who profit from national debt cause by wars, laugh because without a central bank, Germany couldn't afford wars.
But the sheeple believe that Hitler wanted war.
It amazes me the simple facts that people can't put together.
user, this isn't enough! I need sources or images.
People voted Hitler exactly because the country was fucked after the WWI
I am gonna be gone for a minute, and i hope you guys find anything that can defeat this author.
I talked with /leftypol/ and they told me that National Socialism requires a war economy and other resources, and that Hitler has wasted all the money, they gave me those images and such, now i want to know if Sup Forums knows anything to counter that argument, like actual images, sources and such.
>did Hitler make Germany broke
No, Germany was already broke and facing very heavy handed payment plan for war debts and war repayments.
The solution was thought of by Hjalmar Horace Greeley Schacht after his interactions in the 20s with the US banking elite.
By printing such large sums of money they made it valueless for repayment purposes but still useful on paper for repayment from the legal perspective. The next step they took was large scale nationalization of industry inside of Germany along with the creation of the BIS to allow for large scale flow of money both into and out of Germany for later investment across the world. The "neutrality" of the BIS also allowed western companies to easily invest in German industry as well.
After this was done they moved to rearmament by making weapons production facilities not in Germany but in neighboring nations, where they split production between German goods and goods for the host nation of the factory. Military training was conducted mostly in Russia, most of the Russian command staff during WWII were in fact trained by Germany.
During the war Germany would quickly gain control over the invaded nations banking system and gut it as fast as possible while using the BIS as an escrow holder for the money before it was hidden by IG Farben subsidiary companies.
At the end of the war only 1/5 of the total amount of money Nazi Germany produced or looted was ever accounted for, the rest was never seen again.
A good book on this subject is Martin Bormann Nazi in Exile.
Interesting, what is the source, and do you have more useful info?
I just gave you a bunch of useful information and a book to read, how about you go read a book instead of asking to be spoon fed with image macros?
Fine, be that way. /leftypol/ doesn't seem to like it when i post image macros anyway.
Because image macros are trash for idiots with no functional knowledge of things.
But the macros i have usually keep the sources so they don't get discredited.
>discredited
Image macros, by the very mechanism in which they work, dont teach you anything, they bypass that aspect of your brains reasoning centers and just get lodged in memory without thought. That isnt knowledge or learning.
Germany was broke until Hitler came to power idk what book you are reading.
/leftypol/ said that National Socialism requires a war economy, and Hitler almost made Germany broke, so they started invading other countries.
...
>/leftypol/
lol
I will probably refrain from using this image since it the website is called "Aryanism"
Funny, because /leftypol/ and Tooze are probably diametrically opposed on economics. They're using an economically orthodox critique of National Socialist economics when they themselves are as far from the orthodoxy as possible.
wtf do they care?
They said that our image macros are stupid and no one ever takes them seriously.
then wtf do they want?
you could just post this and probably get banned
They ban people for the smallest things.
/leftypol/ is just regurgitating their archaic narrative that somehow National Socialism is reactionary movement driven by the worst, most imperialist capitalist. Disregard that autism.
The economy, as Wages of Destruction (which I've read) details ad nauseum, was headed for crisis in 1939-1940 after the decision was made to entirely subordinate the economy towards rearmament. Prior to 1935-36, Nazi economic policy was mostly just a smartly conducted Keynesianism. The collapse of foreign exchange was a product of both rigidly defending the exchange rate of the reichsmark (to offset inflation and maintain needed imports) and the highly protectionist international trade environment i.e. sterling devaluation and proliferation of tariffs further reduced the ability for Germany to maintain the balance of payments.
It was this deteriorating environment vis-a-vis the reality of rapid Soviet industrialization (at the expense of millions of Ukranian and Russian lives) and the reflexive hatred of the Western democracies for Nazi Germany that prompted the drive towards rearmament. The anschluss, Sudenteland, and Danzig/Polish corridor crisis were economic but also moral and political imperatives for Hitler. Versailles and the new states it created around Germany were deliberately designed to neutralize Germany as a great power: it disrupted industrial organization (loss of coal to Poland and Czechslovokia as well as major industry in the Sudetenland); reduced Germany's population; and created structural geopolitical vulnerabilities (East Prussia's division from the Reich, loss of all important grain-growing lands in the east to Poland, excerabating Germany's food insecurity).
The 4 Year plan, the leveraging of the economy, was a calculated gamble that Germany had to act decisively and aggressively in the late '30s to undo the punishments of Versailles (and thereby shore up the economic and geopolitical insecurities it had created for the Reich) as well...cont
Interesting.
I'm sure they do
I haven't had the courage to go there yet
Cont.
as well as build up the military capacity to quickly defeat Russia and seize the all-important food security Ukraine, etc would provide. This was all directly laid out in Mein Kampf: WWI demonstrated the extreme reliance of Germany on food imports -- and the British blockade ultimately broke the spirit and capability of Imperial Germany to fight alongside Communist agitation. Eastern expansion was the solution to this long-term vulnerability vis-a-vis England and France. There was also the clear notion that FDR wanted the Hitler regime gone. Never mind the Communist genocide and slave labor occuring in the USSR, the great moral peril of the 1930s was the economic disfranchisement of upper middle Jews and political detention of Communist Jews. Hitler understood there was no way in the long term he could deter a hostile Anglo-American pact without seizing the initiative to secure the East and thus its resources.
Thanks for this info.
Most interesting part of Wages of Destruction is its probably unintended discovery that almost all of Hitler's early aggression between 1939 and 1941 was motivated by the rational bargain that the US-Anglo elite were reflexively against Germany and that Germany had to secure vital resources before the US inevitably fully mobilized in support of the British.
The invasion of the low countries and Norway was entirely in response to the necessity of securing Swedish iron ore for example. Not some imperialist desire by Hitler to "dominate" Europe. Everyone forgets the British landed in Norway first -- and it wasn't for freedom, it was to strangle German industrial capacity.
Despite a lack of practical knowledge on the details of economics, Hitler was prophetic in his understanding of how modern war was a war of resource supremacy.
