Brazil

What is life in the south American country of Brazil like? I googled that question, but didn't get anything substantial. I wasn't taught anything about Brazil in school. How dangerous is it? How non white is it? Is it a socialist nightmare?

Parts of Brazil are excellent.

Bump

I need to know the finer details of south America in general. I live on the same continent but have no idea what SA is like.

I went to Florianopolis with my ex to visit her family. Honestly, it was a beautiful city with a lot of European influence. A lot of German surnames as well.

Florianopolis is kinda bland.

Balneario Camboriu is where it's at.

Rio sao paulo recife is the dead zone.

Soith of Brazil is okay... Expect blackouts commonly water shut offs horrible city planning terrible everything

If you want to buy anything buy in America Because they triaple double tax a normal product.

Dont move to Brazil.

T. Former Brazilian.

Just like here, it depends a lot on the region. Luckily for everyone, socialism has been almost completely discredited on South America for the time being.

What is the culture like? If I went there would it feel unbelievably different than from what I'm used to?

Yeah, the nightlife wasn't too good. I am heading to Brazil for sure next year. I will go closer to our summer, as the flight tickets are generally cheaper. As a single, lone traveler, where would you recommend?

>Balneario Camboriu
Well, I spoke a bit of "conversational" Portuguese so that helped. I was surprised that more people didn't speak English. Most of the servers and bartenders could speak very little and would often just smile and stare. I found it to be very clean and safe. But I was with my exes brother, so he showed me around. I wish I went solo as I had tons of girls just throwing themselves at me and naturally, I couldn't act on it.
