How did Mayoiga got that so many attention so long ago? The numbers were phenomenal.

Traiwreck.

See Guilty Crown, Valvrave, Symphogear e.t.c

What are those numbers, senpai.

Memes
Also begging was promising

People were desperate for a trainwreck and hyped it up way too much after the first episode, which attracted crossboarders and other crowds. And of course, it didn't deliver. This copypasta should help too.

PON

>which attracted crossboarders and other crowds

Fuck off it did.

A-user...

Yeah, it did. There were people there admitting that they only came to Sup Forums for Mayoiga threads.

People forcing jokes and theories to create discussion.

People thought things would actually happen for one.

>How did Mayoiga got that so many attention so long ago?
What did she mean by this

Forced hype

Occasionally a show comes along that has really great threads. The memes reign supreme, but it happens organically and usually does not start off with the hype.

It did.

And it wasn't just crossboaders, but a lot of Mayoiga posters were plain new. Newfags saw the "cool" Another and SamFlam trainwreck threads and they desperatly want to join in as well. A shame, Mayoiga was just plain shit.

best girl

Those were happier times.

It was fun.
Memes.
30 characters and picking your favorites was quite an experience even with those that had less screentime such as Naana. Especially Naana.
Betting on which of the characters would survive.
Speculations.

Needless to say, the show itself completely dropped the ball in regards to almost all of the aforementioned. Remember how back then, we all used to theorize that Speedstar was just a creation of Mitsumune's given how he didn't interact with anyone else?

Yeah. Good times.

It's pretty much already been answered, but a combination of cancerous crossboarders, memes and the actual expectation of shit getting real at some point is what drove the popularity of the show on Sup Forums.

Shame that literally nothing happened. I actually might have a slightly positive opinion of the show despite the threads if at least some people died or some really crazy shit happened instead of just psych 101 lecture.

What do people like you get out of pretending that crossboarders don't exist? Do you think Sup Forumsnons just randomly start spamming their Sup Forums, Sup Forums, Sup Forums-reaction images?

The Glasslip Effect. It was a terrible piece of shit but it was unique enough to watch. This has happened with a lot of shows this decade.

Did someone say crossboarding?

Only the early threads were fun because we didn't know it was shit yet.

Did someone say skin walker?

It was mindblowing that people still thought the skin walker theory was true after the first episode.

Meme

No really, it was memes
Nothing happened in the show

I want to stroke Nyanta's butt.
