dont ask for life advice on fucking Sup Forums

ok

What branch? And why would you be joining?

navy , i dont want to be a loser at MC dondals forever

>Navy
Faggot.

But for real whatever. I'm working towards the Marines right now so I'm biased. Either way, why are you joining? What do you hope to get out of it?

>join military
>get military to pay for school
>get better job when you leave military

be smart

i want to do something important / being a navy doctor

Do it. I spent 10 years in the USAF, best decision I ever made. I now make $100k per year working at a mid sized defense contractor.

Ah, so you can patch me up after I get my ass shot then. kek

Idk man, you're young so I'd say go for it. Navy is pretty safe as long as you don't have a shitty captain that doesn't play chicken with cargo ships.

Best of luck, user. Maybe I'll see you out there some day.

>making weapons for the jew
>being part of the military industrial complex jew

but seriously are you at northrup grumman

i know a few

how did you get the job

Navy vet here.

I have maybe 20 or so minutes to answer questions.

I hated it but met the best bros of my life.

Army. You get to choose any job you want as long as you aren't boarderline retarded. Navy is for fags and marines are for mouthbreathing southerns. Air Force is fine but you'd might as well not be in the military since you'll just be doing security details.

The navy has been good to me. You will feel to see more of the world than other branches. I would go to college and become an officer though. You'll be around more whites

There's also a dedicated thread on enlistment on /k/ so I'd recommend you hit that up.

why did it suck , what did you do

Be a man and enlist. Air Force in my opinion. Best pay, best benefits.

so rotc

Go to collage, join ROTC, have them pay for most of tuition....go Army

>be nose breathing Yankee
>Be joining Marines
You statement is incorrect, sir.

youtube.com/watch?v=I0fQd858cRc

although the aesthetic can be nice, and the thought of it all, sentimental, you're just an Israeli proxy army

>Chair Force
Why bother at that point?

You can get a lot out of it tho. It depends what you're looking for.

>Go to collage, join ROTC, have them pay for most of tuition....go Army
This.. Or Marines. You will need the skills in the future! Our side needs fighting skills.

>qualify for any army job if you aren't borderline retarded

That's not setting a very high standard, is it?

I qualified for any enlisted navy job with a pretty good ASVAB but the overall intelligence differences in jobs is pretty obvious.

>be american
>die for israel

Date Kim Possible.

...

>Our side needs fighting skills

On that note, consider an intel MOS and join a combat unit. You're set.

What's your gpa, act and iq?

I was a technician and operator for shipboard missile systems.

The sucking has more to do with navy culture and the other people I didn't generally work with. The navy revolves itself around keeping the retards in line with excessive rules and regulations that just make doing your every day job next to impossible. I'm sure this is the case for other branches but I can't say for sure.

For every hour of actual work I did, there was two hours of working through bullshit or waiting for lazy retards to allow me to work while the higher ups telling me excuses weren't acceptable. It was just a constant headache.

What job are you looking at?

I'm in ROTC.
I can answer any questions if you want to continue your education while simultaneously preparing for a career in service.

I am HS senior and im not quite sure if i should die for israel thoughts????

3.3

how is it

Do you have college potential? Are you average or exceptional? Donyou have a degree interest? If so, ROTC can get you in as an officer and a nicer gig.

yes im kinda above average i want to do something medical

>le dying for Israel meme
>implying there's NOTHING else you could possibly gain from serving

Pretty simple.
MWF - PT
TTH - Class/lab
If you nail your PT test, you can potentially receive a scholarship that will pay your way through your education. You'll need a 3.5 gpa too. You'll go ahead and get contracted while in school and do you basic and ait when youre off school (summer)

I'm currently in the Navy right now. What kinds of questions do you have? I have a bit of time to answer.

this
at least go for a safe role preferably with transferable skills
because remember, you are fighting, and possibly risking your life, for literally (literally) nothing
you're just getting played

Officer selection process is determined by demand within your MOS. You'll be ranked according to physical aptitude, GPA and leadership skills. If you get in, you'll be a butter bar and no one will respect you until you get your first promotion.

As for PT score requirements, they are available online.

They come to you if you have a technical job, know what you are doing, and have basic social skills.

what is like

Currently in the Navy at A-school, so no fleet experience but I know a little bit. What's your asvab score/what rate are you wanting?
Overall I think it's a good idea just because of GI Bill.

JOIN THE MILITARY WITH ME, BROTHER!

Why do so many ex-military go into trades if the GI bill is one of the main benefits?

i dont thing dying for a bunch of rich kikes is a noble endevour

>why do military guys go into jobs where you use your hands instead of office jobs

You can actually get hours towards a trade while in the Navy if you document what you do right, so I would think that's why they do that. Also not everyone wants to/is cut out for college, or they want to give the GI Bill to their kids.

Air Force is the best branch.

t. Airman

Came in at O-1 went out at O-3. It was the wrong choice for me, but a lot of guys I served with loved it.

Do you like a high regimented life? Are you happy with doing things that you might not understand or might know are wrong because you're part of something bigger? Are you able to hold your tongue?

I was bad at all of those things, went in for the wrong reasons, and had a bad time. Know yourself.

Do your homework Brittany

>Chair force
t. Seaman

It has ups and downs. The absolute worst day I ever had in the Navy was followed by one of the best days I've ever had in the Navy. I've seen the world, done amazing things, gotten tons of free education, and I get paid really, really, really, well. I generally like it. There is a lot of bullshit (there is in any job) and duty sucks ass, but foreign ports make up for it. You'll also make the closest friends you'll ever have in the Navy. Plus it forces you to grow and mature as a person in a lot of ways and that to me is the real benefit. It will turn you into a man unless you are a total pussy.

What's your rate?

Trades pay more. College students are trained to do office work like make powerpoints, write papers, and not do trade skills. In the military you make shitty powerpoints too, but you also have to have practical skills. Plus there is a huge shortage of tradesmen.

why do you call it chair force ?

A lot of vets get a place on their own and receive BAH and live independently or with a family of their own when they get out. To go back to college would mean giving up a lot of that independence because now they have lost the majority of their income.

Trades are much quicker to get into, military experience translates well for a lot of vets, and lets them start earning money quicker and starting a career.

youtube.com/watch?v=jsAbdpL4dxk

yes

Because Air Force gets it easy, every airbase has a golf course for officers.

don't be a pawn in the jews' game

Also there is a 90% chance OP is a socially awkward faggot who doesn't know what he wants to do with a life and his recruiter is trying to convince him to become a nuke by flashing big dollar signs at him with an enlistment bonus and promises of a huge reenlistment bonus.

>fighting for niggers and spics

On a joint Air Force/Navy base, don't see much of the air Force though other than checking badges and fucking up evening colors by playing it 4 times in a row regularly. Really it's just random banter and memes, but from what I understand there are more sit down jobs in air Force than the Navy.
>What is your rate
Not rated yet but graduating A-School soon and will be nuke ET. I still have over a year of training after that though before I get sent to the fleet.

1. If you do, DO NOT GO INFANTRY. Get into something that can teach you a marketable skill after the military.
2. Also, if you do, DO NOT GET MARRIED. DON'T EVEN GET IN A STEADY RELATIONSHIP. When you're Uncle Sam's property, a woman will ruin your life faster than Hajji will.

Because they act like they are kicking down doors in Ramadi or enduring incredible hardship on deployment, when they are really living in 5 star hotels on 6 month deployments.

Air Force culture is a LOT like corporate America, that was the biggest reason I didn't want to join the Air Force. Navy culture was a really good fit for me. Each branch has its own distinct culture. That is an important factor in how well you'll like it. I respect the shit out of marines, but I would hate every minute of being in the Corps. Navy culture is the right combination of shit for me to be happy most of the time.

You get paid BAH while using the GI bill if you use 9-11.

So glad I'm not a nuke. haha

Good luck. Nuke school blows from what I've heard from guys on my ship. Stay positive and try to get sent to Japan or San Diego. BEST PORTS EVER.

t. autist who couldn't get a waiver for his severe autism

Yes. I wish i HAD EARLIER. Do it. There is no downside.
>get GI bill
>get VA loan
>be a rich homeowner by 30.

Literally qualified Reactor Operator and been on a deployment, done a RIMPAC, been at Pearl Harbor for the 75th anniversary.

There is a reason the bonuses exist and it's because the job will cause your anus to bleed for the rest of your life. The military enlistment thread on /k/ daily even calls out how shitty it is. I'm trying to save OP but if you need to meet your recruitment quotas for the month to take thanksgiving leave I'll stop posting

Navy or Air Force.

>Qualified reactor operator
So how bad is it for an ET? What makes it so bad? Any general tips to someone almost finished with A-School?

Air Force is richer and recruits smarter people so others are a little butthurt ??

Tldr edition
>Getting married = she will cheat on you everyday
>go in reserves if your going infantry
>airforce is the best office job you will get
>shit paycheck
>dont be the first to sleep around your buddies during bootcamp

Why not join slave labour and make our kike overlords some fat shekels?

Sure join up if it's your only option. We always need more grist for the mill.

Ugh. These fucking betas who married the first THOT Roastie who smelled nice then got shafted. Get into the service as a bachelor user esp the navy. You can get Italian pussy in Naples, Gypo pussy in Alexandria, etc.

PSYOP here. Shitposting experience on Sup Forums will serve you well in this particular field.

Hey those are Airforce Security Forces guys (3P0X1). That also happens to be my current job. My advice is only do it if you're willing to wait. The wait times for most of the good jobs can be pretty long but it's worth it. The Airforce doesn't operate like the Military, It's just a company that wears a specific uniform. I can't really say much about other jobs but I can say mine is pretty trash. The training and opportunities given to me have been great and there are a lot of really cool missions you can be attached to like the 820th SFS where you work hand and hand with special forces and K-9.

Long and short is go for it, Get a job that gives marketable skills and enlist for only 4 years. If you like it then there is a very stable albeit low paying career and if you don't then you walk away with free training and free school. And if you use your time wisely you can walk off with an associate's degree

t. 6 year SSgt

Went onto USAF at age 19 with guaranteed air traffic control as the job. Boot camp was a breeze. Tech school not that tough if you studied. Finished all that and became facility certified as a controller at the same very busy base for 4 year. Got out and went into FAA as a controller. Worked at 3 busy ARTCCs, and 3 terminals (airports). Did staff time in DC and because a supervisor (now called front line manager). Made well over $100K there. Later became facility manager at various terminals and another ARTCC. Made just under $180K. Retired at age 55 with almost 36 years of service. Retirement today is over $125K a year. Loved the ATC gig as well as the supervisor gig. Hated the manager gigs but it stacked my retirement. So to answer, go USAF and be a controller of you're autistic enough (it can be a tough profession but also can be very rewarding).

Do it. Be a corpsman. Best job in the navy.

I'm a dropout from an ivy league school. I think I will enlist soon. I'll be a non-college graduate but can I start at a new school with a GI bill?

Ive got a LOT of shit that I hate about the Airforce but bitching isn't worth it. Make your own decision. If you're young then 4 years won't make an impact if you hate it.

do you have a nice, tight little boyhole?

no homo

lol corpseman

Don't join, the US military is a disgusting abomination. A reflection of what this nation has become. You will hate yourself, your government, and your passive ignorant people, and you will probably kill or want to kill yourself.

If i'm in my junior year is it too late to start?

I agree. I am a USAF veteran. It wasnt until I got out that I realized I was just helping Israel to Empire Build. If you get sent overseas and die, or lose a limb, you didn't do it "protecting muh freedoms" you did it for the Jew.

There is a reason some of the most anti government nihilistic people you'll ever meet are ex-military. There is a reason we have such massively high suicide rates among vets. The military preys on young kids wanting to do their country right. All though these days it's just poorer folks trying to make a better life for themselves.

Are you mentally healthy? Fitness is something that can be earned through hard work in training, if you aren't mentally ready, don't join.

Some of the worst parts of joining up. Being on stag, hours and hours of tedious boredom, watching desert scrubland. The minute you drop your guard, some fucking raghead starts throwing 7.62's randomly from a mile away, and some poor fucker is hit. Stag...fuck being on Stag.

Can you handle your mate from basic, a lad you trained with, squadded with, talked utter shit to, have half his face blown off by a durka IED. Can you handle the uncontrollable hatred you'll feel for durkas, because the person who made the IED could be ANYONE aged 10 to 80 in the closest village. Looks like a dumb goatfucker farmer, makes IED's after dark.

Can you handle masturbating in the smelliest disgusting porta-toilet in existence? Cause thats where you'll be doing it.

If so? Sign the fuck up. Don't think being a Chad will mean you are good at it, I saw pure testosterone chadmonsters break down in tears because mortars are just randomly dropping, and theres fuck all we can do about it. On the opposite, I saw a total beta nerd turn into some fucking superhero, dragging his best mate from out in the open, under fire, whilst one handed shooting back with his rifle. (his mate survived)

The forces will either make you a total and utter realist, with some friends who will be with you for life. It'll red pill you to the extreme, and you'll never look at civvies the same again.

Or it'll break you, completely fucking destroy your soul.

if you join, pick a job that has an equivalent career on the outside. The guy who shoots the artillery yeah its cool as fuck, he does it for four years and now hes back at home depot. The guy who chooses a job with a security clearance gets out and has a nice job waiting for him. dont be a dummy, this is an opportunity to get paid while they teach you a career!
also it fucking sucks the first couple years, your going to take out trash and do alot of mopping. your going to have shitty superiors. nut the fuck up and take it, it gets better i promise. also keep your head down, dont be a kiss ass but dont be a skater either middle of the road works good.

After your service sure. Hell roll your old credits into your associates if you join the Airforce. It's the CCAF (Community college of the Airforce). The Airforce has a huge initiative about college educated airmen which is great but I could go over for hours about how it's fucking up the Military dynamic. Like I said the Airforce is a corporation not the Military except the special forces and my career field, Security Forces. Once you separate the post-9/11 GI bill is amazing and you can use it in any school that you qualify for but it only pays instate tuition. Comes with the E-5 housing stipend for your schools area which is great because free rent, And gives 1000 bucks for books.

What? Have I been lied to? You can't just wait for a job to open up in the AF. You pick a list and they choose for you. Maybe 6 years ago you could pick your AFSC?

listen to this old fuck! most important piece of information here "guaranteed job"

>Biased against the navy
>His branch is literally useless without the navy
This is like a guy with no arms or legs making fun of the guy who pushes his wheelchair.

Nope they lied to you. You can deny any jobs they offer you if you don't want it. Your recruiter might get pissed but you absolutely don't have to take what they give you if your ASVAB is high enough. Tell your recruiter to eat shit.

I didn't know that, usually go on /fit/ for military opinion, thanks I will take a look at it.

not sure if this is helpful.
But I served in the RAAF for 3 years as a legal officer.
Was fantastic I saw a lot of the country and was lucky that I had two degrees when I joined up so I got promoted very quickly.
Not sure about you going in as a grunt, but military service on a resume (especially in the states) is highly regarded if you leave.
And if you don't like it buckle up and finish your service then specialise in something you can transfer into civi life.
Good luck user

this

>In port you will be on 4 (3 for sub NUB's) section duty if you are lucky while the rest of the ship is on 6 or 8 section duty.
>Qualifying Senior in Rate takes roughly 18 months, until then everyone SIR will hate you and treat you like less than dirt
>Worst watch rotation while out to sea
>Coupled with maintenance and Drills and GQ work weeks regularly exceed 100+ hours
>"Berthing Rules" where people who are SIR regulate your lives to be as miserable as possible as an incentive to qualify SIR
>You can't do maintenance until you qualify SIR so that adds fuel to the fire of hatred for NUBs (Non useful body A.K.A you until you qualify SIR)
>When you do qualify SIR the people who have been doing maintenance now feel like it's your turn to get raped with maintenance so your life isn't actually better, just a different level of shit
>Constant training whenever someone fucks something up (A.K.A all the time)
>Constant training for CTE's (Continuous Training Exams so remember that shit from Power School)
>Last off the ship and First on. After deployment of 7+ months it took 8 hours to shut down both plants
>The job prospects after the navy do exist but aren't as great as people tell you they are (Plus they have shift work in undesierable locations)
>The STAR "just 2 extra years" are actually 3.5 years because a shore command is a minimum of 36 months and you WILL get force extended
>Your shore command will 95% be a prototype tour (Look at your instructors and their quality of life when you are there. That will be your first Nuke redpill for most people)

I meant I'm biased FOR the Marines, not necessarily against the Navy, just bants them because that's what you do. And you faggots wonder why AnCaps get so much shit.

Why are recruiters such dicks? Did serving turn them into complete assholes?
