Evil Cult Guys wanna upload's people mind into computers to achieve immortality.
Consciousness can go faster back and forward through time which is why some people have precognition.
They killed tons of people to test their system and theories.

The original source material was the LN. The third volume was never published.

The LN started getting adapted to manga. It was actually being done in a super lightning pace.

The anime was announced. FBI-chan was announced. People got worried about her being an anime original character.

Third novel was cancelled. FBI-chan was probably (definitely) going to be in it.

Manga adaptation overtakes the novels. FBI-chan shows up in the latest chapter or two.

Anime starts.

It's the official manga.

why make a new thread, there's nothing else to discuss or theorize about

Why do we watch anime, there's science to research

>upload's people mind into computers
he never said that, they want to control the spirit world so they can have people "live" forever

Well people are clearly still continuing discussions from the last thread, and there's people who watch the episode late.

Anyone got an idea about how much we might get spoiled from the JP readers?

Isn't that what that one guy did in robotic;notes?

Nobody is reading the manga and it's monthly so the anime will overtake it soon enough, I wouldn't worry about it.

Yep, that's tech from SciADV that was hinted in C;H and S;G and used in S;G0 and R;N.

that dude used computers, here they are using the electromagnetic spectrum

So if the manga is an official adaptation of what was going to happen in the novels, and the anime is also an adaptation of what was going to happen in the novels, then we'll get to see ENF FBI-chan animated? Hot.

It was hinted at in episode 2 though, when Myu looked into the future of that guy who said he was gonna die of cancer soon, and saw a super computer.

I feel like this show would be a lot more enjoyable if I read a lot of other SciADV works.

All the stuff that's coming after this episode is new stuff though so who knows if it'll be worth it.

Heavily hinted during Myu's precognition for the soon-to-be dead guy, having a byte full of people killed, brain processes being considered to be nothing more than electrical pulses and in the meeting room, the background looks like this supercomputer en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connection_Machine

i know i was one of the avid EVERYTHING IS A SIMULATION theorists until now

This was already pointed out by some user in the last thread but at this point the twist really comes off as bad writing since several days have passed since the incident. Some of them don't live alone and even those who do would have need to buy food in that timespan, and one of them is even an internet idol.

>[Chihiro]_Occultic;Nine_-_01_[720p_Hi10P_AAC][A3A543B3]
>[WhyNot] Occultic;Nine - 02 [819222AD].mkv

How do you go about fixing this broken girl?

Wait until they reveal everything before calling it a bad writing.

Not really, but indeed there are lots of callbacks to SciADV.

I'm not sure if those are callbacks or they just ran out of ideas though.

They're expanding more than just rehashing

Gamotan!

Definitely, and people will complain about it because fanservice is apparently bad, even though S;G had the same scene.

They are eating ghost food

So Myu-pom is the bug that causes out of body experiences? Everyone she got into contact with is still around, other than the computer guy.

don't forget about the poyagun

why is she CG anyways?

Are they just testing to see if the audience notices?

>Some of them don't live alone
The only one we know doesn't live alone is Sarai and you see how much he cared about his mother when he invited Gamotan to his house, and Myuu hasn't done anything but searching for her friend so there is that.

It's just hints

hints to what?

Can someone be this dense?

If you mean what I think you mean by that then you're the really dense one.

Shortly after they all disappeared, the 256 incident happened. Myu-pon was a good example of how most people who knew them were feeling, they all had some hope but were bracing for the worst - and when the news said NOPE THEY'RE DEAD they were forced to accept what happened.

She's not CG, you're retarded.

Also Oc;9's animation is excellent, to the point it made you think it's CG apparently.

So it doesn't seem like there were any notable Ryota moments, so I don't have to watch right?

yes she is. She's been 100% CG the entire series. It really shows in with her shadow. rewatch that scene and tell me that isn't CG

I don't think you have enough knowledge of animation for me to even begin to explain how wrong you are if you somehow think that.

In case you haven't been following plot, she's a ghost and there was special attention put into her hand's shadow/the coffee cup's lack of shadow in that scene as a hint towards that. How anything relating to her shadow makes you think she's CG is beyond me.

AOTS confirmed? AOTS confirmed

Don't think I'm the first to say this, but that cafe they're always in is comfy as fuck.

MIND HACK and jump, when?

>this episode's pace
youtube.com/watch?v=ZnHmskwqCCQ

i bet 9 of them SHIFTed when they drowned

Are you retarded?

She has looked CG since episode 1

That shadow is way too on model (most shadows in this series are generic dark blobs directly beneant the character, this shows her joints in detail)

Rewatch it. The way it comes in looks completely automated, and her hand motion is way too smooth to be hand animated.

>hurr the shadow means they're dead
except it's the exact opposite. People WITHOUT shadows are dead. Look at her in her first scene in ep01. She's CG. I don't know how else to tell you that.

You are dumb.

bruh she's CG

First fast-paced episode

she's a Cute Girl alright

The intro scene feels like speedreading a VN.

Did the detective boy die?

Was it not obvious enough?

Everyone dies.

They are collecting souls for the creation of a new universe.

>tumblr

Well that explains it. Go back there.

I bet you think this is CG too faggot

>The third volume was never published.
It isn't published 'yet'.
Dunno where people get the "it was canned" idea from, it's still planned for release.

You're right. I try to clear that misconception myself so I should've chosen my words better instead of saying it was cancelled.

>1st volume - 2014
>2nd volume - 2015
>2016 is almost over and 3rd volume doesn't even have a release date
Chiyomaru should take some writing lessons from Kamachi

To be fair, he's a busy man. Actually, how does he even have the time to write Occultic;Nine? Does he even actually write Occultic;Nine?

Wonder if they will stay dead. For all we know everything happening right now might just be the future Gamon is foreseeing and the key is the only way to save everyone. We can't be sure.

What did she mean by this?

The purest form of love

When a boy and a girl love each others a lot, sometimes they like to lay naked on a bed hugging each others. But when it's 2 family members it's considered to be "taboo", something people shouldn't be doing. She was assuming people were assuming that.
Don't do naked things with a family member, or at least don't make people think you do.

Dunno, but MAL and youtube celebs loves to parrot that idea.

Especially the "THEY ADAPTED ONE VOLUME IN ONE EPISODE" bullshit.

Gotta thanks the Digichibibro circlejerk leddit hive-mind meme for ruining everything

A-1 cocksucking initiative would be my guess

the tits are too big

Assuming myuporn is ded too, then Ryutas is alien? Since they could called taxi.

Holy fucking shit I didn't expect the last part of the episode when they were confirmed dead

I was staring at the screen the whole ED and I also didn't expect a post ED

What did she mean by licking her lips here?

Who here /shitposting/ from the dead?

She was thinking about incest, another forbidden form of love like in that yaoi doujin.

>Phase 2
what's going to happen now? they're gonna go after the group?

also what's up with this guy's eyes?

>The fact that we're about to go full anime original

Shheeeeeit

Not entirely anime original, more like unreleased LN content adapted.

>People at MAL complaining about way too much information and pace

The camera rotating while they talked about deathmatches made me think of Danganronpa.

I was glued to the subtitles

>Braindead retards mad because they talk too fast

What a fucking twist

Probably kill the whole Kichijoji or some shit

People were saying that the cast being dead was an asspull

Fucking kek

How did they plant the "software" into the first gen anyway? There have to be something they did, right?

I can understand that some people might be turned off by O;9's presentation though. They go through scenes pretty quickly without letting the audience savor the moments. It feels like spaming ctrl while reading a vn.

>people dropped the show because ryo-tas' macromastia rubbed them the wrong way
>everyone keeps talking about how they have no idea what's going on in the first episode
>even after six episodes people are saying they're confused and have no idea what's going
It's like this anime is a filter for stupid people it's great.

Just the slow readers and ESLs who cannot comprehend a sentence in one look.

It's easy to comprehend, just unsettling to watch.

What do you mean unsettling

So who was little white boy?

Not that guy but the show's actual storytelling just genuinely didn't really work on medium like this. For me, anime needs a more organic flow rather than feeling like speedreading a VN. Watching this shows feels more of an actual job rather than a fun pastimes, and yet, it felt unrewarding

I didn't even get any room to get a good grasp or respond, and the show just suddenly like "oh wait, this thing happened, and this thing also happened"

Even the FBI couldn't resist the NEET's dick

Where?

FBI-chan is cute

She's been sucking invisible devil's dick

GHOST BLOWJOB WOO WOO

He's a minor

Thanks, I wouldn't have picked that up if you hadn't told me.

Same. Such a great twist, I'm glad I didn't read any spoilers. Makes me want to rewatch to see the now obvious foreshadowing.

>spoilers
There weren't any.

Why is Chiyomaru so obsessed with people opening terrifying boxes?

probably inspired by j.j. abrams

He just likes boxes in general.

Who else /0.75xspeed/ here? Makes the show make much more sense.
