As much as we like to meme that they are soulless they are becoming stronger and a much bigger world influence by the day, that with Americas slow decline and weakening grip in international politics (lost the middle east and losing Europe to EU army).

Long term I wouldn't live in CHYNA, only a decade long adventure. Property is only a seventy years lease from the government with shitty maintenance and often bad building quality, if you want to live like in the West you have to live first tier city like Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing and then it will cost you like in the west. 800,000 for an 79m2 apartment in Shenzhen for example. They've already surpassed the US. They are building the Belt and Road system- a massive trade network. They are much better with diplomacy in the Middle East and Africa than we are. Continued growth and consolidation. The desire for stability is their biggest concern. This springs from their character and from historical lessons. That's all they need to do. Like you note they're unshackled by constraints that exist in the West. They just began a huge project in Hebei province earlier this year. Massive. Real estate sales were frozen in the area.
